No one's posted here yet aside for the links! (Of which I say thank you for, Proudly!)
Lessee... maybe a question to get it going?
What are some everyday differences in culture that one would find in Germany in comparison to North America?

Die toten hosen, yes, i've heard of them. They're pretty good too. Have you ever heard of Kraftwerk? They are an older german electronic group, they are very interesting to watch, because they just have 4 synthesizers, but wow, they are a sound without comparison.

you know guys, I know that this sounds really bad, but there's not alot of enthusiasm comming from us German Speakers....... as much as I hate this word, I think that we need to hold a "pep ralley" so that we'll have more entheuaism for our language as the others do for theirs.... so I'm jumping in to say that I'll hold the pom pom's... and that is very out of character......

Recently, a friend and I set up a guild for those who love German rock. Keep in mind it's still very much in its developmental stage! If you're interested, here's a link:

I was recently talking to a German-speaking friend, and she was listening to German country music at the time. A song came on, and she translated the name for me; it was called "I am drunk. Very good."
