It was night. Isn't that where it always starts?
The mission was simple. Kill the surrounding slaggers, and fresh meat that ended up defying the pride's rules. He was not exactly near the pride but he already killed two. One cheetah, and one hybrid that seemed to think they could sneak out after curfew. Unfortunately for them, they were encountered by Black Bugie instead of the kind Bugie that would lead them back to the safety of the pride. He killed them. He was to stay up all night.. cutting down the crops. Making sure they had a sign that if they defied the great one- they will be slain without a doubt. But after the first two were gone.. no one else dared to make a run for it. Only because they couldn't see a black pelted leopard go back to forth around.
They were easy prey. But no one could hear now, the calls from one to another as they tried to make it passed. It all ceased and his job was semi done.. he had another that would cover for him and one that hide the bodies later on in the night just in case others wanted to flee- they would run straight in to the other's body. There was only one way in or out unless you took the chance in the tunnels or fall over the walls of the crater.
He paws were padded now with rocky dirt than blood, it stuck to him like glue but he didn't much care. "I'm going to do some surveillance else where. You can call out if there is any other troubles.. but my on going mission from Nyoka was to stalk. So, I'm off." Rarely he announced where he was going, usually he just left but tonight it seemed like he was way too bored and making up an excuse to get him out and not leave them short handed was entitled for. So he went off, in a light trot around.. he wasn't exactly wanting to.. but he made his way through the paths of the wastelands and even further on to the mountain range close to the Savannah. He watched from a hole in the mountain from the overpass. He looked out- to see if there were any rogues that needed to be done in.
With him, males and females were alike. If they were rogue, they were killed on sight. If they were caught snooping around where they shouldn't. He laid his body down in a waiting position.. Just waiting to see if the prey would come to him. His tail flicking back and forth dangerously. His forest green eyes watching out in to the savannah... His perfectly black pelt enabled him to disappear within the shadows so stealthily.. it was deemed dangerous.

Oh she was lost, and she knew it. That spring buck had lead her on a merry chase, and now she was all turned around somehow. Sighing with no small bit of frustration, the delicately built female cheetah sat down, her tail coming to curl demurely around her front paws as she considered the situation.
Maybe if she could find a river, that might lead her out of the dense mountain undergrowth, even a stream would do really. Frowning slightly to herself, she lifted her face to the darkness, silver eyes glinting in the pale moon light, her long lashes tracing cobweb shadows over her white cheeks.
It was to dark to go wandering about right now, but in the morning, she would make it her first priority. Certainly, she needed to turn her attention to finding shelter for the night, since dinner lead her further into the mountain pass then she had desired to go.
Sighing again, Ng'ombe gracefully rose to her paws, and began to walk forward, silver eyes searching for a fairly sheltered area to spend the rest of the night in.

Finally after the winds had changed, he took upon her smell.. Enticing him to move from his area. He lifted his head.. He remembered stalking this smell only a few days ago- and my has she found her way close. Though rogue. SHE had been the one he stalked after several lengths of time and was plainly a rogue but something about her was quite different and he was willing to bet that she didn't have a pride.
His ears went down as he continued to smell her.. she wasn't that far so he lifted himself up and slicked down in to the caverns. If she stayed out in the wastelands- she could die of starvation. So.. one couldn't just leave a girl out but then again he should have killed any rogue but once you stalk them for a few days.. Then its likely that you wouldn't want to see that prey die. So. He slinked through the caverns in a quick pace til he got again in higher ground and lowered himself. Ears down. If she was smart she would seek a cavern to lay in..
But he'd wait before confronting her. Or if she slept. Well. Nyoka would like a new member wouldn't she? She was a cheetah afterall.

Ng'ombe had moved a little further up the canyon, trying to get a better view of her surroundings and hopefully spot a place to rest for the night. Maybe if she were lucky, she might find a hare or even a pouch rat, something to take away the edge of her hunger.
Humming softly to herself, the cheetah carefully picked her way up the slope, till she was almost even with the first layer of tree tops. Ng'ombe looked back over her shoulder, and was taken by the beauty around her. Smiling gently, she rested for a moment, silently wishing her parents a good night.
Sighing, as much from weariness as the lingering sorrow, Ng'ombe turned back to the slope, just as the moon crested the hill. Its light fell perfectly on a shadowed opening. Convinced her parents were looking out for her still, Ng'ombe slipped through the leafy covering.
Yes, this will do for the night, she thought to herself, clean and dry, and well hidden. I should be safe here till morning.
The delicate cheetah began to hum once more to herself as she gave herself a quick bath, her movement graceful and elegant. Once done, she lay down, curling her tail over her nose, as she gave over to sleep.

With the way she laid.. he stood in almost complete silence without movement or anything of the sort. She couldn't have relaxed her muscles for just that.. so he turned and went for a while to walk as she laid there. Always keeping an eye and nose out for her.. as he went in to the caverns to out what only to leap through and with such a swiftness grab upon a sleeping ibex and crack its next.. Alone. What a stupid animal..
Hopefully she hadn't move from the spot.. so slyly.. He leaped up back to almost where his post was.. above her. Then jumped down to slowly walk his wave over to the ledge she was at. Standing over her with a dead fresh kill hanging from his maw..
It was easily for him to approach females.. Throwing before the girl's paws and huffed. "You can die here.. you know that." His voice gruffed and unsharpened whatso ever. The 'badass' sorta guy..

Ng'ombe woke with a start, her silver eyes looking up at the dark colored feline in front of her, the ring of her thick lashed making them appear much larger then they were. Her mouth formed a little 'O' of confusion as she blinked the sleep from her eyes. Bringing up a fine boned paw, she brushed the edges of them, then sat up, shying a little back from the offerd meal and the shadow colored leopard.
" I...I..." she stammered in her breathy voice, " I didn't mean to intrude. I am sorry if I am in your den. I got lost...and needed a place for the night...." her voice trailed off, and she bit her lip, pale eyes wide and afraid, and filled with a genuine innocuousness.

The kill hung low over his maw and slowly did he step and set it down in front of her. As he fixed up his back to look larger than he really was. That was just how black bugie was. Eyes slitted. "No. It's not my den. But you'd die here if I didn't come. Its wastelands here. Not a place for you to be lost." Her voice was spaced, rusty and oldish sounding with power behind it. Manly to say the least.
She didn't look 'fit' to be here. Not by his standards. The only good she could do was-... Something that most would think about when seeing a girl. To bare kids or entertain. "Eat." He said plainly then sat down as to say 'I'm staying here too'. But he really wanted to coax the girl in to believing then taking her. For now he then lowered his ears. She sounded delicate- he almost was feeling sorry she was there. Maybe he did?

N'gombe blinked, not sure what to do, or say. Swallowing back her fear, she stood and moved closer to the offered meal, " Thank you...I am actually very lost." She lowered her delicate muzzle to the kill and began to eat neatly, keeping the fur of her paws and nose clean.?

He observed her every move. Unlike the other Bugie- he took pleasure in examining 'kills' before he killed them. Their was a relationship there even if it was one sided before the kill. She was no different. His tail only paced about twice before he stiffened. "Is that so." Lifting his head as if to say he was looking for a 'way out' but really he was measuring distance.
"Yes. You are." Then he turned and slowly made his way to the mouth of the den again before circling then flopping at the top of it. "You've come here..why."

Miss Cow:
The delicate cheetah watched him with no little fear in her eyes, her half formed thought of moving toward the front of the cave gone with him laying across the opening. N'gombe knew enough to know she was in trouble, perhaps serious trouble and she wasn't sure how to get out of it. Remembering her mother's words, to always be polite, because you couldn't take back what was said, N'gombe kept her voice soft, hoping to hide the fear in it.
“ I followed a spring buck, it was wounded. I thought I could bring it down and end its suffering. I truly have no idea where I am, I meant no offense. If this is your territory, I can promise you..I have no intention of staying.”

Black Bugie
He laid there comtemplating his idea. How to do this and if he really should or should he just walk away. He fed her already- he did something FOR her. He lathered it in his mouth for a moment before looking to the side to answer her beating explaination.
"Little do you know then. All the way to wastelands? Wastelands can kill your kind if you don't know the way out." Tapping his tail and went back to staring at the outside. Yep. He saw his path if he were taking her. Wait til she ate- at least that. "Not my territory. I'm just a protector of sorts. Take others to safe ground. Then go on my way." Which was true, it was just a twisted truth after all.

Miss Cow
She swallowed another bit of meat, and it slid down her throat like a rock. Somehow, somehow she felt like he was not telling her something, and that something could hurt her, but mother had told her to believe the best in the felines she met, she certainly had with N'gombe's father and had found a love that had born her a cub. Taking a breath, she gave him a beautiful, trusting smile.
“ I will take your word for it Mousier, I know very little of the wastelands. It is a good thing you found me, before I was in serious trouble.” She tilted her head to the side, lowering her lashes demurely at him, “ You lead them to safety? Will you take me where I can be safe?” Her tone was a mix, half fear and half hope.

Black Bugie:
He only by chance, went to turn around and saw that adoring smile.. she somehow was so beautiful in that moment, when made him turn around and hear her out. She was so trusting.. was she.. so airhead? Or was she really this trusting.. and her voice. Was delicate.. Somehow, killing her because she was in range of territory wasn't the issue.
It was bringing her there that was the problem. "Of course I will. A place you don't have to worry, for they are among 'our' kind." Referring to the cheetah species. "Eat and save your energy." He pointed out before going back and staring off in to the distance with his blank expression. Ears pinned back.

Miss Cow:
N'gombe smiled again, this time the trust was coupled with gratitude, and a relief. “ Merci Mousier, you have been so very kind, I do not know how I will repay you.” With his strong manor and confidence, he'd set the fear she'd first felt at ease. Her mother had been right after all, you could trust felines you met, if you just gave them a chance. Dar had certainly been sweet, he and his bird friend had been good company that night.
She looked back up at him through her long lashes and huge pale eyes demurely, “ You never told me your name Mousier.” Without thinking about it, she placed her paw on top of his, a trusting, innocent gesture.

Black Bugie:
Ears went up with caution in them. His fur rose when she walked over but he wasn't exactly perpared to have her so close for the moment. Looking to the side at her. With her so close he never EVER let a girl THAT close.. Black Bugie shying away? He got gruff for a moment and tossed his gaze away. "I don't have a name." Truthfully. He didn't know 'Bugie' Existed and he was never given a name. He lowered his head. As if he never.. felt something about it. Until now.
He got really quiet after that.. His paw almost trembled underneth her. He..felt inferior.
