This is the tournament battle between Hadus (Ganon Firenight) Vs. Kichi (poke mattix); please only post if you are one of the riders.
Battle One
This is one of the four elimination battles between Kyns of the Kyns Battle Tournament. The victor of this battle will be eligible to continued to the semi-finals and later finals. Good luck to both Kyn riders and their Kyns.
Will Kyns, Kyn riders, and spectators take their respective places.
Rules
1. No godmoding
2. No bunnying
3. No killing off your Kyn(s)
4. Please be curteous
5. Please use decent grammer and spelling
6. Please type in IC; OC comments should be in arrow (())
7. You must post your reply within one week that your opponent has posted theirs.
Terrain
The battleground terrain seemed to be quite similar to the grand canyon, except both the riders and their kyns are at the bottom of the canyon. To the left and right are rock cliffs, impossible to scale and very easy to shake loose. Despite the rocks, there is enough room for the Kyns to stand comfortable and to pace around horizontally. Beneath, the ground is firm and sandy; various broken pieces of rock, about the size of one's fist, lay scattered around.
Your opponent and their Kyn is standing on the otherside of the field, waiting for the battle to begin. A judge stood on a ledge above you, whistle in hand. He blows the whistle and yells...

Ganon leapt immediately into the air, spreading his wings and fighting for lift in the dead canyon air. He held his spear in one hand, carefully balancing it so that it would not hit his wings. Slowly, he moved to survey the area, eyes scanning the rock walls. His eyes fell across a particularly dangerous-looking boulder nearer to the others, and he decided to take note of it. He glanced down. Hadus was slithering between boulders on the ground, snakelike, moving toward Kichi and Poke.

Poke kept well back from the fight, Feeling slight clasutrphobic and not wanting to get in the kyn'sway. Knowing how large they both were, she figued she would end up being squished before doing any damage. Looking up she noticed The other rider flying high, and kept her eyes on him, so he wouldn't able to surprise her
Kichi stood her ground while her opponent came towards her, her teeth bared in a threatening way. While in this pose she began to concentrate on a spell learnt from her books. In front a cloud seemed to materlise as she drew moisture together. At the moment it did not do much except float there.

Hadus paused, glancing up at Ganon, then at the storm cloud. Softly, he began to hiss, slipping behind a large rock for cover. There was no visible sign of his magic; much like his Rider, Hadus was not into flashy magic. [1/3]
Ganon smirked slowly, moving toward the boulder and perching atop it, looking down at the other Rider and kyn. Fortunately, the kyn was the only one that might have been able to reach him with an attack, and she was concentrating on her spell. Ganon carefully judged the trajectory, then rammed his spear under the boulder and used it as a lever, nudging it so that it fell off the edge, rolling down and then falling right at Kichi and Poke. It was roughly two hundred pounds.

She didn't like the looks of that huge bolder at all! It began to tumble down the cliff side closer and closer towards her, and there was no way she could knock that thing of course. Turing around and using her tail as extra ballance, she began running out of the boulders path. With a final leap she just managed to escape being a pancake.
what was this guy up to? Kichi wasn't sure, but she couldn't break her concentration now and kept up with her own magic spell. She ignored the boulder coming towards her and allowed it to smash into her scales. The physical blow stung for a bit, but it was nothing she couldn't handle.
The cloud now grew larger and darker in colour, and claps of thunder could be heard coming from it. It appeared to be twice the size of the boulder

Ganon growled. It was hard to believe she was merely stunned by that. This battle would be tough, but maybe he could distract the large dragon. He swept around behind the two, yelling out to the dragoness. "Hey, you! Why don't you try your luck up here with me?" He never kept quite still so that it would be harder for her to catch him off-guard with a lightning bolt or something. He wasn't sure what she was planning, but anything massive would take a long time.
Hadus stayed crouched behind his rock, continuing to power up his spell. [2/3]

poke stood there watching ganon, but then found herself wondering what he was up to. She had been intimidated by the large lizard like rider, and thought the wings would put her to a huge disadvantage. But instead of coming down for a physical combat, he was throwing boulders at her and was now taunting her dragon. But now he was lower in altitide, perhaps now would be the time to strike, before he got to high and chucked more boulders at her.
She started to sprint towards her dragon kyn, jumping over small rocks and such. When she was close she used her kyns tail to run up it, gaining some height. When at the lower reigon she turned around and then jumped off it, gaining a height of 4-5 meters off her kyns back. Inetialy, she was hoping to jump onto ganons back, and bring him down to the ground. However this would be alot harder since he was not staying put. She outsretched her arms in attempt to grab his right wing.
Kichi could hear the rider behind her trying to catch her attention, but she wasn't falling for it. She knew it would be pointess to try and swipe such a small creature, and she still had the other dragon to attend with. For a minute she could feel someone crawling up her tail, but she ignored it and kept up her spell. It was almost done now...
The cloud had grown faily larger, and now it seemed almost half the size of kichi. At this time the cloud started to spurt lighting out in front of her, at random directions. It also began to rain underneith it, cauing the groud to become sodden and muddy. For anyone trying to walk through, it would be serverly difficult.

Ganon laughed and simply turned to the side, floating away as Poke was trapped in freefall. "That," he said with a chuckle, "was an entirely foolish thing to do." He was tempted to catch her in the back with his spear, but that would give her an opportunity to grab hold... so instead he took charge, looping around and extending his talons in an attempt to grab her back with his powerful, clawed feet.
Hadus suddenly stepped out into the open and reared up, and then there was a magnificent explosion of fire right in the middle of Kichi's cloud. It would almost certainly cause her a lot of pain, particularly to the face, and even had a good chance of dispelling her cloud. It was a well-placed attack, that was certain. [3/3 Nova]

[It's very hard to twist in the air. Most humans (and mammals in general, for that matter) are unable to do it. Felines have more developed back and hind muscles to account for this twisting ability. Skydivers are only able to do this because they have something (such as their generally VERY baggy suits) to create wind resistance and friction, enabling them to turn around...which takes quite a while in the air. Much more time than it would take to fall only four or five meters. As for the spells--wouldn't the elements of fire and water cancel each other out?]

"you sure about that" poke retorted. As she free falled she drew her sword, and was about to slash at him when she realised something; she wasn't able to twist herself around. In the few moments it took her to wonder what was going on, ganon had managed to grasp onto her back and claw into her skin. She flintched at the sharp pain it gave her, and only seemed to get worse. well that was a brillant way to screw something upshe thought, her pride hurt at the inebility to prfrom something other animals found easy. Though now she was stuck in mid air, and unable to defend any blows from behind. this sucks went through her mind.
She did not expect her opponent to attack her from within her own cloud, and the blast caught her unawares. The scortching heat seered her scales, and she howed in pain from the attack. Infuriated at this un-expected move she let out a blast of fire at her opponent.
((heres a question. I'm not to sure about this but in the description l put l mentioned l had a monkey/cat like tail. In my mind it's like a big fluffy monkey tail thats able to grip stuff...but l didn't really specify. With actuall monkeys like spider monkeys, is it possible for them to grasp items and move them around?))

[Yes. The tails of true, arboreal monkeys such as spider monkeys are prehensile and able to be used like a fifth limb.]

Hadus yelped and dove back behind the rock, the very tip of his tail catching fire. Getting close to that thing was not an option, clearly. He glanced down at his tail and yelled, stamping the flame out and whimpering. Poor thing. He sunk down tighter, growling and preparing an abyssal spell. [1/4]
Ganon grinned and swept quickly through the canyon, swinging a bit to cause Poke to crash into the rock walls. He dug his talons in tighter, preparing to take her for a wild-- and hopefully crippling-- ride.

dam this ratbag!! she thought, and tried squirimg out of his talons while thinking of a plan. When he got close to a rockface her body was scraped across it, causing her even more pain to go through her body. Her arms, face and side were getting scratched up from the constant bashing, and she was starting to bleed.
Suddenly she got an idea That may actually work. As she was scraped accross another rock face, she drived her sword, horizontaly, into the rock, with a minglty cling and held onto it for dear life. This could go of two ways; either her arms were gonna break and the metal of the sword split in two because ganon was stronger. Or this would cause him to go face first into the rock wall. Her arms were already aching with the effort of moving them around enough to push the blade into the earth.
Kichi was not going to give him a second chance to concentrate on his spell. As he dove behind the rock she moved slowly towards it, manovering her large body accross the ground. As she got closer she let out another jet of fire at the rock he was hiding behind.
((ok...l'm pretty sure, the body is able to twist enough to the right or left. But as for having the strength to do so...l'm hoping l could. But if not, then l'll edit and don't kill me >.<))
