 Tian ran and hopped about, stretching her legs. Her mother and father were busy, her siblings were off doing.... something.. she was bored, she wanted to see a new face, have new adventures. She giggled happily as she raced along the ground, chasing some birds in the sky. She giggled as she leapt over the occasional stick or branch that was in her way as she ran.

Jaqueline walked slowly over the flower filled hills, unsure of what was really out in the world around her. Her mother and father had suggested to her and her siblings that they should wander around near their den to learn about their home. But she had so much anxiety about the world around her. She couldn't believe they literally forced her to go. Of course her older siblings had learned to adapt to the world around them and her brother and sister seem fine as well. Why was she so different. A small sigh escaped from her mouth. "This is a terrible idea. I hope it does not end in tragedy." She responded to her thoughts. Jaqueline could not fathom why someone would want to wander around in this dangerous world.

She pushed her legs to go faster, stretch longer. Her attention was drawn however, by another filly. She slowed to a trot, forgetting the birds she'd been chasing. "Hello!" She grinned wide as she made her way towards the filly."I'm Tian" She giggled as she drew closer to the other filly. She looked younger than her or her siblings were. Not a big surprise, after all foals were born every day, weren't they? She stopped a bit away from her, not wanting to cause the other filly any distress or alarm.

Jacqueline went wide eyed and jumped when the other foal reached her and said her greeting. "Ummm...." She said trying to keep herself from having an anxiety attack. Which was something that happened quite often. However, she relaxed more when she realized that the foal was alone. Just like her. "Well it is very nice to meet you. I'm Jacqueline...." She said looking around in a nervous manner. "There is not anyone behind you right?" She asked, focusing her attention on the filly named Tian.

"Jacqueline? Nice name do you mind if I call you Jacque for short? You can call me Tia." She waggled her tail fluff before looking behind her and even turning around in circles to look. Satisfied that her siblings hadn't followed her, she faced the other filly once more. Shaking her head she grinned wide. "Nope! just me! My siblings are off doing their own thing." She giggled some as she watched Jacqueline. Was she nervous?

Jacqueline smiled and nodded. "You can call me whatever you want. And Tia is so pretty!" She said laughing and getting closer now that she had calmed down. "So are mine." She said smiling. What was she going to do now? There was still the danger of Tia's siblings showing up, as well as her own. She wondered if there was someplace they could go to hide just in case another soquili appeared. All she knew was that she wanted out of there. "Would you like to go exploring with me?" Jacqueline asked as she walked a little ways away from the filly.

"Really? Um.. Thanks.. daddy started calling me it one day and it sort of.. stuck." She giggled some and followed after Jacque as the filly started to wander off. "Sure! I'm always happy to have an adventure! Where should we explore? A cave?" She was dancing as she pranced one more as she began to trot. Her family was big on adventures so it ran in her blood to seek her own call of a quest or great deed. Perhaps she could play 'Prot the dragon' with the other filly later.

Jacqueline thought about it for a moment before she realized that there could be a skinwalker in a cave. "Well.... Caves could hold a Skinwalker." She said turning to Tia. "Truthfully, I don't think a cave would be the best idea." She spoke softly. Jacqueline knew how to have fun, but she was not interested in getting herself harmed by a evil soquili who wanted to kill others. She also didn't want her new friend to get hurt either. "How about we explore the other side of the river!" Jacqueline said excitedly. Who knew what was on the other side. Maybe there would be knight in shining armor! She couldn't help but thinking of herself as a damsel in distress. That was something Victoria had taught her. Jacqueline giggled and her mood seemed to change for the better.

She'd never even thought of the possibility. "I guess you're right... hmmm..." When the river was mentioned she perked her ears. "Sure! and maybe we can go swimming too!" Ger eyes gleamed with the excitement she had. Such was her nature, full of pep and energy rearing to find the next big story to tell her siblings. "Did you know! There are water soquili!." She giggled as she trotted ahead of her new friend. Oh what games they could play.

Jacqueline smiled and jumped into the air a little higher. "Swimming sounds like fun!" She said trying to contain her excitement. Jacqueline stopped dead in her tracks and shook a little in terror. "There are.. water soquili..." She said looking at Tia. Her excitement had flown out the window when she thought of meeting up with more soquili. Her life was filled with enough anxiety as it is. She couldn't possibly handle anymore. Jacqueline stood still and looked at her hoofs. The possibilities of seeing the water soquili were probably slim to none, but did she really want to take a chance?

"Yeah.... but I think they're more afraid of us than we are of them.." She blinked stopping and turning to look back at her friend. "You Ok?" She walked back to her and nudged her lightly with her nose. "Hey... What's eating you?" She tilted her head off to the side some. Was it something she'd said? Had she inadvertently hurt her feelings some how? Stepping a few steps back she gave a small sigh, she'd never hurt some one's feelings before.. her siblings were rough and tumblers like her. "I'm sorry.. If I hurt your feelings that is..."

Jacqueline shook her head. Tia probably didn't know that for sure. They could be even worse then the skinwalkers for all she knew. And that would be badddd! She lifted her head and had a stern look in her eyes. "No it is not that at all! I'm just... I get so nervous and scared when I'm around more then a couple of soquili...." She said honestly. Jacqueline was very fun and crazy, willing to do whatever made her happy at the time, but if there was a chance that there could be a group of soquili around she would NEVER do it. "Tia... How do you do it?" She asked her curiously.

"Oh.. I see.. I don't think we'll actually run into any..." She wiggled her ears, looking around before looking back at Jacque. "How to I do what??" She blinked a few times. She wasn't sure what the other filly meant. How did she do it? It puzzled her. She flopped to the ground as she mulled this over all the while her confusion was written all over her face.

Jacqueline smiled a bit and nodded. "You are right. If I have not heard of them before now then they probably stay away." She said, her mood changing once again. "How are you not afraid of.... Well everything I am afraid of?" She asked as she began walking around Tia. Jacqueline secretly wondered if she could pass her super duper powers (or at least how she viewed them) to her. Was that even possible? And did she have any powers?

She grinned wide, glad to hear that the other filly was no longer afraid of the water or meeting any of it's inhabitants. "I dunno, I guess I've always been rather... adventurous and brave. I like to think that I get it from my mother." She beamed some. "Seems my siblings are mostly brave too.. I guess I've just never really thought about anything being scary. My grandfather always tells me stories about grand quests and battles.. I guess you could say I'm not your typical girl..."
