"Ooone~ Twooo~ Threee~ Fouurr~ Fiiiivvee~" While Nee-san went to hide, Hisoka put It's full focus on a blade of grass. That way It wouldn't be able to "see" where she was going. It didn't have to cover It's eyes, as It saw most children do. It's hair did the trick just fine, though It wouldn't have been able to see much either way. To give her enough time, It counted to fifty- just like they always did.
"-Fourty-siiiix~ Fourty-seveeen~ Fourty-eiiiight~ Fourty-niiiiine~ FIFTY! READY OR NOT! HERE I COME!" It squeeked, jumping to It's feet. Letting It's "sight" perceive everything around It, It first sensed the world... then using It's chakra-perception searched the crowd for chakra signatures. It smelled out the clones, heard their chakras' frequencies, even got a sense of what they were doing. Two who were together were training, but they weren't Nee-san.
She was hiding farther away than usual, but It could still track her. It sniffed for the spot she'd stood in a minute before and stuck It's tongue out. Tasting her chakra, It followed the path Nee-san had taken. Lollipop~ lollipop~ lollipop~ lollipop~! It sang in It's head. Well it was what Nee-san's chakra tasted like. The sweetest lollipop in the whole wide world!
After following her by tatse for a minute, It pushed It's other senses to find her. Wow. She really was farther than usual. But It couldn't fail now!
It needed to be better! It needed to! If It let bad things happen to Nee-san because It wasn't strong enough to protect her...
Well It didn't know what It would do.
Hisoka could barely remember the time when Nee-san wasn't with It. But what It did remember... was emptiness. Loneliness. Before Nee-san, It's entire world consisted of a bleak room.
That room had been burned to the ground. If Nee-san was gone... what did It have left?
It's nearly sightless eyes narrowed. Burned with determination.
Every usable sense was kicked into overdrive and focused souly on finding Nee-san.
Her chakra's blissful melody. A scent so sweet It put flowers with the lovliest aroma to shame. The calm sensation that could soothe even Hisoka's chaotic soul. And of course the yummy-yumminess!
Odd.
Nee-san was in two places.... almost. Her chakra was definitely in two places. One was faint. Very faint. To the point where Hisoka almost missed it and even after locating it, it took It a moment to confirm that the signature was indeed Nee-san's. as if she were trying to hide her chakra, but surely Nee-san's. The other wasn't being masked, clear as a bell and clearly Nee-san's but had a slightly different smell. A smell like.... "Crows..."
Of course, a crow clone.
It smiled.
It loved when Nee-san challenged It. It meant she thought It was getting better and could do better. So towards the fainter chakra It sprinted, swerving and skimming through the crowd towards the trees. It smelled Nee-san sitting up on a branch. Coming to the tree she was in. It scurried up the trunk. Breaking the near-perfect silence Aiko maintained, It squeed, "IT FOUND YOU NEE-SAN! IT FOOUUND YOOOUU!!" and flung It's little arms around her, being careful not to knock them out of the tree. Rubbing It's face into her body, It took in every wonderful sensation Aiko brought It. "Did It do good Nee-san? Huh? Did It?" It was practically bouncing with anticipation of Nee-san's answer.

Just a Child

While the boy lazily looked around at the rest of the camp he found several sights of the dedication that his clan was proudly showing. They had utterly destroyed the reason they came to this land and yet they were still preparing for more, it was remarkable.

Ryuu slowly pulled himself up to a standing position ready to follow the example put forward by his fellow clansmen. In one hand he held onto the book that bore his clan’s symbol; the one he retrieved from the Leaf Village following the attack. In a swinging motion he brought the book up to his eyes and flipped it open, showing the jutsu scroll within, and then with delicate care he stripped the scroll from the book and laid the artifact down inside his tent. After the few moments of preparation Ryuu removed himself from the tent and outside to where the rest of the Uchiha were training and began his own training by slowly opening the scroll.

The ancient text within the scroll gave it the feel of being much older than it actually was and the smell of burnt ash lingered as he unrolled through the pages, taking in all the information he could read. The jutsu itself was pretty straight forward; the user created a sort of gunpowder out of their chakra and spewed it out into the area then used a flint in their mouth to ignite it. Though, Ryuu himself didn’t like the entire idea of using the flint to start it, perhaps he could just substitute another one of his fire jutsu to maybe make it more powerful, but only practice could show that sort of information.

Still, the transition from always using fire itself and then trying to learn one that utilized gunpowder would be difficult and even then, switching back and forth would take even longer. Ryuu continued scanning the scroll, it held many small notes from the men and women that had used it before he ever had his hands on it, they held tips on how it would feel inside when chakra was molded into the form of the powder which would help him know when he was going to be able to release without a hitch. Once he found himself satisfied with the amount of information he drained from the scroll he quickly rolled it back up and placed it into one of his back pockets in the off chance he would have to refer to it once again.

With his arms outstretched the boy slowly moved his hands through the handsigns for the technique, committing them to memory as well as muscle memory so that he wouldn’t have a problem in calling upon them and forgetting how to activate it. Snake – Rat – Snake – Tiger. Over and over again he moved his hands fluidly until he could make the seals without a second thought and with the speed he had all his other techniques. Once he himself was ready to perform the jutsu he removed himself from the area to a secluded clearing where he could train in peace and without hurting another one of his clansmen.

With a serene silence Ryuu drew in a long breath while focusing a chunk of his chakra into his gut, kneading it slowly as to ensure that his desired texture would be achieved. To anyone who was spying on the boy it would look as if he was just standing in the middle of a field while holding the tiger handsign. However, on the inside a meta-physical war raged on inside Ryuu, the constant strain of trying to make sure he was holding the chakra long enough, the annoyance of not having any physical means of igniting the gunpowder if he were ever able to complete it, and a feeble amount of focus all added up to making enough stress for a normal person to run around in circles, screaming, and pulling out their hair. Lucky for him, the amount of mental distress he was used to from his upbringing was enough to keep him from having the complete and utter breakdown that should have engulfed him.
