Personality: Spitfire is one of the most stubborn mares from her herd. Once she gets something in her teeth, she'll chew on it until it loses all the flavor before sticking it in her hair. In otherwords, she'll hold a grudge and there is no arguing her out of it because she believes herself to be vindicated.
Anyone who tries to attack her justification might end up with a few hoof prints on them. She is very close-minded when she feels that she is right. Her confidence in herself and her beliefs is very strong and there is no shaking the foundation. And she quite proud of it.
History: Hailing from the same herd as Wild Wind and Tawali, Spitfire grew up knowing the rivalry between the two colts. She, like many other young fillies of the herd, often would perch above to watch the two get into all sorts of trouble. It was only natural since those boys were prime examples of studliness as they grew up.
But once Tawali was banished from the lands, Wild Wind was now hounded by rambunctious young mares and Spitfire was the most daring of them all to get the young stallion's attention. And who could blame all the mares. He was the son of an Elder of the herd, strong, confident, strikingly handsome, everything to make a mare's heart flutter. Oh and how Wild Wind would try to shake off the girls whenever he got the chance, but he could never lose Spitfire. Oh no, she knew all his hide-outs and never breathed to a soul about them.
Finally, after months of stalking her potential mate, Wild Wind confronted her about a courtship. Wild Wind spent a secluded evening with Spitfire that made her feel like she soared above the stars. She was not concerned when he vanished in the morning, but she promptly told her parents, who then took it to the Elder Council, who ordained Wild Wind and Spitfire Heartmates. No, her concern grew as her belly swelled. She hadn't seen feather or hide of the medicine paint and his shadow, Omani'ceta. And as she progressed in her pregnancy, her anger grew.
She gave birth to a healthy boy and vowed over his basket that she would find the wayward wind and clips his wings for good.
