Today was the day. Her and Lajos had spoken about it at length in whispers for some time now, but it was finally going to pass. They were going to leave their mother and their sister behind. Pur was still uneasy about leaving Chayah with Coeur, but even if she had offered Chayah to come with, Pur was certain it wouldn't happen. Her sister would stay with Coeur our of sheer fear. It broke Pur's heart.
She waited quietly for Lajos to join her where she sat. She wouldn't be able to do this without him. He had been her backbone for the many months these ideas had swirled around their mind, and she knew deep down inside her that she couldn't do this without him there. Coeur would be able to break her down without her brother to back her up.
"My paws are shaking," She said to herself quietly.

"It could be worse." Lajos replied, walking slowly to sit with his sister. "The entirety of you could be shaking." he commented, sitting close to her for support and in case he needed to jump in front of her to keep things going the way they needed to. Pur's backbone and commitment to this wasn't as strong as his and Coeur's anger at them might make her lose focus. That or he might have to protect her from a strike or something. EIther way, best to be nearby.

Chayah dashed onto the scene past her brother and sister, limping, panting. Her ears were low against her head and her eyes were fearful and shining with tears. "Ah, I-I'm so sorry, you guys..." She whined and tried to make herself as small as possible. She had plenty of reason to be fearful. Coeur had sensed something was up between her two whiter children, and she was suspicious. So naturally she 'persuaded' her other, more obedient daughter, and found out the plot to escape. Chayah didn't divulge the details because she'd been wise enough not to ask of them, but when the girl was nervous, Coeur was able to read her and had her 'send a message' to her siblings.
Ooohhhh Coeur was pissed. The mother slowly followed her daughter, not yet sure how to handle her rebellious children. Now she wasn't a cruel mother. She fancied herself rather generous. She kept her three cubs born of a rogue god that she thought she had seduced, but was inevitably duped by- whether that was his intent or not, but he left her knocked up with three mouths that would have to be fed. Yes, she nursed and weaned and fed the little bastards. And now they wanted to leave her high and dry? Oh that would not stand. Would not stand at all. She narrowed her white eyes and pulled a lip back in a snarl. Whether they knew or not, Momma knew best. And she'd teach them.
