Story Versus Science: Summary of the Story to the Split of Pangaea

1. THE STORY

Billions of years ago, on the great Pangaea, there was a place in the center. The center was the Tree of Life, surrounded by mountain. At the event of evolution, a creature from the sea learned it could walk onto the Pangaea. It had offspring, and the offspring spread across the landmass. Due to climate changes, vegetation, and our friend natural selection, this single species began to take shape into different species throughout time. The species that found themselves in the center was the first of mankind.

Scientifically, we called this area 'The Time of Balance,' when everything was balanced. The regulator for the Earth was the Tree of Life, which housed four stones. The Tree itself was said to be unlike any other tree, and it had a fruit that was supposedly so sweet and so wonderful that it could give whoever ate it great power. This didn't appeal to any other creature more than mankind. Two, in particular, were exceptionally curious; Adam and his wife, Eve.

In the vast unknown spaces, as the story goes, there was one creature known as Sin that wanted the world and its untapped power for himself. The story says that he put a piece of the fruit in a wooden box, and carved to it was a snake. He gave it to Eve disguised as a Jaguar, and told her it was a gift for her beautiful voice that inspired the birds to sing. "It is a forbidden present," the creature said, and left with only that. When she opened it, she saw it was the fruit immediately, yelled and tossed it like a bad omen. As indeed it was, since it fell to a rock where Adam heard her cries.

Sin, now disguised as a sake, bit into the fruit before Adam could arrive, and waited in the bushes. Adam came upon the fruit, and sure that Eve had been the one to bite into the fruit and met some sort of misfortune, took the fruit and also took a bite. He awaited to be reunited with his beloved, but instead was met with sudden thoughts and ideas. But deep inside him, there an evil grew.

Eve had run back to the tree, trying to find the Jaguar that gave her such a terrible omen. However, when the bite was taken, the four stones in the tree began to glow. The Earth shook, the water rose, the winds were forceful, and fire arose from the depths of the dirt.

The large mass of land began to split, and the tree began to die. Fearful for the life force of the Earth, Eve took the stones out of the tree and ran. She met with Adam, who was acting strange, and she couldn't understand a word he tried to say. Then he showed her the fruit, and once she knew what he did, she also took a bite. If they were to face suffrage, they would do it together.

Sin, who had seen this, laughed a laugh that echoed throughout the hectic land. Like the roaring of a black ocean, he claimed he was free, now that the Tree of Life had been soiled.

Then from the heavens came the creator of the planet, and had a battle against Sin. Sin realized too late that the stones were missing. The creator smote him down and chained him to the dying tree, cursing him so that he may never do any physical harm alone, meaning he would need a host, and that hosts would have to seek Sin out for themselves. Sin laughed, and revealed that mankind already sought him out by eating the fruit of the Tree of Life. Then with that, he spoke no more, disappearing into the very bark of the Tree, and the fruit remained to thrive.

The creator turned to Adam and Eve, knowing they would have to be protected from themselves and the obvious and even more desperate draw to the fruit. The creator stomped onto the ground, and the landmass split apart all over the seas. Then the Creator took the stones from Eve and sent them away from the landmass holding the Tree of Life. Adam and Eve tried to forget about the fruit, but they became obsessed with it. They had children, and THEY were obsessed with the fruit, though not as much, since they have never seen nor had it.

It became too much, and the two unfortunate humans tried to kill themselves. Two of their sons stopped them, and one of their daughters began to pray to the creator, to save her mother and father. The creator returned, and decided the only way to spare Adam and Eve was to make them no longer human, and as punishment for their strangely horrible action, she made them both Gods. Eve became the goddess of life; also known as Mother Nature. Adam became the god of death, the reaper, or Father Time. As a result, they were no longer taunted by the fruit, but also they were never able to see each other for all eternity. Like a two-headed coin, it didn't matter where you flipped them, their eyes would never meet again.

Either that, or plate tectonics and magma under the earth's core. Many believe the truth is between the two explanations or a combination of both, and even believed that this happened over a period of millions of years, the fruit gave Adam and Eve everlasting life, and the two sons and daughter were just those that had grown from their same family. However, there are many controversies to the possible truth of how the Pangaea was split. The story at one point began to change into millions of different stories and new descriptions, until Sapien's documented scroll was found, and most stories and cultures admitted to this version, though there are still plenty who think otherwise.

(I'm referring to all creation stories that I'm aware of. XP The Bible, Mesoamerica, 'The Dreaming' from the Aborigines, many Native cultures, Greece, Rome, and the like. They all are believed in Harganoph, but now none as strongly as this version which seems to be the root of most of them. )

2. THE SCIENCE

Over time, plates at the planet's crust move around, moving the masses that are connected to it above. Though they agree that there was an unusual shift in plates at both the gathering of all the planet's mass and then the separation of it later, they suggest a Crater, or a dormant period and awakening period in the planet's magma layer.

Those that believe dinosaurs died completely from craters believe in that theory, while those who believe in the volcano theory usually support the magma theory. However, those who believe in evolution, natural selection, higher power, or almost anything else believe in the story entirely. There is strong evidence for all three.

There are also 'gray scientists' which put all of the evidence together to create their own reasoning; aliens, conspiracies, or in a more respected way, 'depending' theories meaning that the cause of the effect depends on other factors such as location.
