Her mother would kill her. If not kill her she was at least in for one hell of a beating or a long lecture. Her mother was strict with her and her siblings. They were taught many valuable lessons from her about the dangers of the world and how to fight against them. She let them wander on their own but only so long as they stayed within range.
Dita sighed as she looked out over the wide expanse of dried grasses. These were the plains of the east. These were most certainly out of range though just barely. Her mom wanted them to stay on the western banks of the lake today. Dita had swum out to the other side while no one was looking. That had been around high sun. The sun was sinking down towards it's bed already but it was much too soon for Dita. Her mom wouldn't come hunt her down until night fall and the sky was still blue!
She shuffled her feet about somewhat guiltily as she peered over her shoulder towards the lake and home. She couldn't see the water anymore, there were trees in the way, but she couldn't let that stop her now. This was a new place she needed to get a better look at! All new places needed thorough exploring so one would know what was there right?
Right.
With that thought steeling her will she took her first step out of the thin border of edge trees and into the grasses of the plains. She held her head high and proud with a wide grin. She was the first of her siblings to ever be here. It was a momentous occasion, one that filled her with joy. A joy so strong that it flooded her all the way down to her feet leaving her prancing along the edge of the forest keeping on the eastern side of any outlying trees.
