It was wonderful, being a mother again. Ninon loved it so, and she loved each cub that had come from her. She...just held a slightly more special place in her heart for the cubs she had with Fleance. Her beloved God of Ashes had given her five wonderful boys...each of them a seer. Sadly, one would not stay in the swamps his whole life, but Ninon knew that one did not mess with certain fates. And though his would be hard at times, Ninon felt Hiiro's destiny would give him some happiness.

"Mama?" Ninon looked down, silver-gray eyes meeting brown. Yves stared up at her, a smile on his ash-gray face. He was always such an eager little cub. She smiled calmly.

"What is it Yves? What's got you so happy, my little gentleman?" Yves purred and bent his head down to nudge a bundle of yellow, star-shaped flowers at her.

"I found you flowers, Mama! I thought you might like them." Ninon gave him a small laugh and nodded.

"I do indeed like them. Thank you, Yves. So...have you been having fun? Did you play with any other cubs today?" Yves made a face and shook his head.

"No...no one other than Lennox and Kau. But they're my brothers, so they don't count." He huffed. "Hii's always too serious to do anything more than wrestle, which I didn't wanna do today, Revez is...well, he's a little WEIRD, Mama, and Kamen's too afraid he'll get MUDDY." Yves rolled his eyes. "We live SURROUNDED by mud, Mama. He's such a goof for not wanting to get muddy." Ninon nodded, encouraging her son to go on. "I did see other cubs, though. Maybe I blend in too well, Mama?"

"I think they're just getting used to you and your brothers is all, dearheart. Why don't you try approaching one of them tomorrow? Say the first hello? Certainly they'll start talking to you after that." She licked the top of Yves' head, purring soothingly. "Sometimes, that first hello is all it takes." Yves purred back at her, nodding.

"Alright, Mama. I'll do that!" He grinned. "Ohoh! I got something to tell~ you~!" He'd Seen something interesting in the dream he had earlier, while he napped. Ninon gave her son a curious look.

"Oh? And what is it you have to tell me, Yves?"

"I SAW Hiiro with a giiiiiiiiirl!" Ninon was surprised. She knew each of her sons with Fleance was a Seer like her, by virtue of their god blood. But before now, Yves himself had never spoken of a vision. She carefully moved the flowers to one side, and laid down so she was on her son's level.

"Really now? Tell me more, dearheart." Yves curled himself up on her forelegs, still grinning.

"In my dream, Hiiro didn't look much older than he does now. So I think he's gonna meet her soon! She was pretty Mama, though not as pretty as you. And his grumpiness didn't bother her at all!" Ninon smiled at Yves, chuckling.

"She sounds like quite a girl. I look forward to when she shows up." Perhaps she could keep Hiiro's destiny from taking a darker turn. She carefully started grooming Yves. "Is there anything else you can tell me? What did she look like?" Yves thought a moment, having to recall his dream.

"Well...she looked a little younger than him. Definitely smaller. She was white, with lots of gold on her. She had a bird too, that was her friend, instead of a snack." Ninon nodded, shuffled that information away in her mind for later.

"I'll keep an eye out for her than. Your brother needs someone in his life who won't let his seriousness get in the way." Yves nodded in agreement.

"From what I Saw, she'll be good for him, Mama. I think you'll need to teach her how to be a lady though. In my dream, she got COMPLETELY covered in mud and wrestled with him and all that. She acted like a boy more than a girl." His mother looked a little horrified...but nodded.

"Well...I shall indeed have to teach her how to be a lady!" A girl acting like a boy just...no. Not when said girl interacted with HER family. "Did you hear a name in your dream, dearheart?" The cub shook his head.

"No Mama. Hii didn't say much, and she and the bird seemed to somehow avoid her name. I don't think I'm s'pposed to know it, Mama. Not yet." Ninon nodded, sighing. She'd had things like that happen all too often. She understood how frustrating it could be. But the spirits had a reason for everything.

"Well...all in due time, Yves. I do hope she appears in your brother's life soon, though. He'll need someone at his side in the future." The cub looked thoughtful a moment, then looked back up to his mother.

"Is it because of the visions he has? The thing he says he has to get stronger for?" Ninon nodded.

"Indeed. He'll need someone who will stand beside him, no matter what happens to him. And keep his destiny from swallowing him whole." Yves looked a bit sad at that.

"I hope she shows up soon, too. Even though Hii's a grump...he's still my brother. And I don't wanna loose him." Ninon nuzzled Yves, knowing how he felt.

"I do not wish to loose him either, dearheart. Each of you, your older siblings and your littermates, is a precious treasure to me, and gift from the kind spirits." She licked her son's ear. "Now...why don't we go find a good place in our sleeping area to put these flowers? And remind Revez that they AREN'T for his experiments." Yves nodded vigorously and got up, grabbing the flowers in his teeth carefully and holding his head high proudly, ready to follow his mother. It was a sight that made her heart swell, and she extended a silent prayer to the spirits that each of her cubs find happiness.
