Leaving the first Etiquette class, Jericho was making his way back to the monster dorms so he could wash up. His hair and clothing were still wet thanks to the perfume, and he wouldn't be surprised if anything with a decent nose could smell him from a mile away. Riley had managed calmed him down some at the end of class, but he still was in a foul mood over all.

He also hadn't really been able to properly vent it. Being outside, now seemed as good of a time as any other. Thinking about various things with the class, and the perfume, it didn't take much for him to build up a healthy (?) layer of anger once more. A part of him wanted to drop the class, but he could hear his mother's voice nagging him in the back of his mind already on that.

Frowning, he turned towards the tree he was walking past and let out a rather loud roar before punching it in the trunk. The bark splintered on impact, leaving a little impression in the tree. It also cut up his fist a little, but the dragon was already feeling better after that. He really needed to work on getting a battle pass and try to see if there was some sort of fight club at the school... a good brawl would definitely help him vent out his frustrations.

West wasn't doing much of anything. He was sprawled at the center of a patch of gloriously brown weeds, staring up at the perpetually darkened sky, an activity he often engaged in when he was bored. The only problem was, sitting on his a** wasn't an 'activity' at all. And West was bored all the damn time around here.

He had just passed over the threshold between conscious and naptime when he was jolted awake by an angry roar. Whowhat? He sat up straight and suddenly, rubbing at his eyes, a grin slowly spreading across his lips once he saw who had caused the ruckus. Jericho really was so good at anger. West took his time climbing to his feet and strolling over to the brutalized tree, basking in the frustration, the rage, the blood.

"Bad day?" he quipped, running curious fingers over the trunk-dent the dragon had left behind. West's demeanor was pleasant enough, but his tone made it clear that he thought he could have done better.

For a moment or so, Jericho stood there to stare at the dent he had made in the tree, only turning away when he saw someone approaching out of the corner of his eyes. Seeing West there, he was about to greet him but his eyes quickly narrowed as he picked up on the tone, feeling that he might have been challenged right about there. That in itself was a bit agitating for the already-angry boy.

"You could say that," he growled, "Stupid etiquette class..."

The dragon's fist balled up again as mentioning the thing caused frustration to well up once more. Punching the tree with his other hand now, the bark splintered some more, "AND ITS STUPID PUMPKIN SPICE PERFUME!"

Huffing, he shot a glance back at the Wrath Demon, "What are you up to?"

Ah, etiquette. West had been urged multiple times to attend that very class by his family, but he had missed his chance to sign up. It looked like that might have been for the best. The odor wafting off of Jericho was positvely sickening.

His eyes widened the barest fraction as his classmate punched the tree for a second time. What was he up to, hmm. Since 'watching you' was probably a response that would raise more eyebrows than West cared to worry about lowering at the moment, he chose to discuss what he had been doing three minutes prior to this moment, before the dragon had wandered through.

"...Sittin'. Bein' bored. When'wer not ridin' trains't'ar doom or fightin' ninjas this place's kinda borin'."

"I hear ya," mumbled Jericho in response. It was considerably more peaceful than their time in Christmastown. While that was good in its own right, he did find it somewhat hard to keep himself busy here. It didn't help that he hadn't been able to really find any clubs around here to his liking. He had heard of a few of interest, however he couldn't actually find out any further information on them like when they meet and such. It was rather frustrating.

Looking down at his knuckles idly to see the trickle of blood there, he looked up towards West with a frown.

"It doesn't help that the gym class is all locked up. There's only so many trees I can beat up or burn down," he huffed. Aside from the one next to him, a few trees had met a rather fiery end the moment he returned from Christmastown.

"Don't suppose you've managed to get a battle pass have you?"

"Nope," West confirmed. He, too, had spent quite a few days pacing the grounds endlessly, looking for something to punch. Thankfully there were quite a few slack-jawed, whiny students who couldn't have deflected a fist if it was being wielded by Barth. He was honestly expecting one of them to speak up and get him detention any day now.

It was a little unsettling, actually, that he had been so utterly bored today that he had nearly fallen asleep in the grass. Was there nothing better to do?

"I willisoon as I can," he said with somewhat angry determination. "'t's no fun hittin' kids who don'hit back." Well, it was a little bit fun, but not as fun as proper fighting could be.

"Yeah same here," he nodded, determined to try and get himself a pass as soon as possible. Then he could have some fun taking on (hopefully) worthy opponents. Jericho was sure West would make a decent foe in the ring or so to speak, but that was something they'd have to test out another time.

"But I know what you mean. Wailing on someone who isn't worthy is just a waste of time. Most of the creatures I faced in Christmas town were laughable," he scoffed, "One even blew up from a STARE of all things."

Not that the dragon didn't mind the explosion. It granted him burritos after all.

"Ha!" West snorted in response. Truth be told, he hadn't found fighting in Christmas Town or the surrounding areas to be all that simple, but he supposed that was part of the allure. Sure, he had occasionally kicked some spectacular a**, but between Jingleberry and that blasted Death Charm, those JOYful bastards had done quite a number on the demon. It wasn't the first time West wondered if all of his spectacular rage was tied up in FEAR. Without Halloween Town, was he just some sissy b***h?

Thankfully, the thought was gone again as quickly as it had come. He didn't need fire breath or a giant natural form to deliver a beatdown. No need to dwell on all of that. He spared a glance for Jericho's bloody knuckles, then asked, "Issit as satisfyin'? Punchin' trees?" He grinned.

Jericho had to think about that question for a bit. There were basically just three things he had actually fought in Christmas town; the drunk elephant whom he decapitated with a kick, the reindeer that blew up, and the black santa scout... which didn't last very long with everyone attacking it either. The thing that had hurt him most was the explosion, but he didn't consider that a fight. Then there was the Death Charm... which he couldn't fight. Large gap in power there and all. Though, it was that Death Charm that frustrated him the most.

"Not really," He grumbled, "At least the toys and stuff fought back... kinda. Trees don't really bleed or scream either."

"But it seems like the only really good opponents there are Jingleberry and the Death Charm. One of these days I'll go back and show them FEAR," he added with a huff. They were stronger than him now, but that wasn't to say things would remain that way with time.

Interesting. West would have been more reassured by Jericho's train of thought, but the dragon said enough aloud for him to get the picture. Irritating as it was, they were in school for a reason.

He nodded solemnly, as if he was responding to a discussion about sick infants or puppies rather than carnage. Mmm hmm. 't's better whenn'ay scream. A lotta those things'in tha'place jus'... stared." West crossed his arms and looked off toward the demon dorms. Homework or more talk of fighting? Well, duh. But that smell! He was barely holding in the puke.

"Whadoo they'ave ya do in tha'class? My parentswant me ta take it, but iffal ya do is geddoused wit'... smells... or walk with books onyer head, then no thanks."

Nodding in agreement with West, Jericho soon frowned as the topic of the class was brought back up. He kind of wanted to forget about it for the time being but supposed he had the rest of the night to try and do just that.

"We did both of that today," he grumbled, "Had to make sure we walked 'properly' with balance and crap like that. First time was just annoying but then the damn teacher had us walk the line with books and a box of perfume on our heads."

The dragon made a rather disgusted face with that point.

"Almost no one made it across without spilling this s**t at least once."

"Hrm." West was torn. His line of questioning had obviously further irked the dragon, which normally wouldn't have been a problem considering how much West enjoyed the anger of others. But a part of him - a very, very small part - thought it might be best if Jericho didn't associate his presence with unpleasantness. He had no doubt he could continue, that he could taunt Jericho into getting so angry that he might never want to get within ten feet of West again, but he wasn't going to. No matter how small this part, West couldn't seem to ignore it. It was perhaps the first time the demon had seen things his mother's way. Best to keep on Jericho's good side. Who knew when he would need to be entertained? With an internal groan, West attempted to steer the conversation away from etiquette class. It was so difficult being responsible. He wasn't sure he liked it, but anything was worth trying once.

West scoffed. "Wellai wouldn't be able ta do it'either." There. That was being nice, right? "I dun think'i'll take tha'class afterall." He relaxed his arms again, letting them fall at his sides. "Sowas thattit? Done punchin' things?" He couldn't help the hint of disappointment that crept into his voice, but his expression held nothing but mild conversational curiosity.

With a light huff, Jericho nodded to West, "Yeah. You'll probably be better off without it. Though between you and me, we could probably do a lot of damage to the fancy crap they've set up in that room."

There was a sort of dangerously mischievous glint in his eyes as he said that. No doubt he still had destruction on the mind at the moment.

"No I'm not done yet!" he added when suddenly something hit him in the back of the head with a splat. Whipping about, he saw the remains of a taco jollymeal on the ground.

"WHO THE JACK THREW THAT!?" he boomed before another taco came sailing seemingly out of nowhere towards West.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 05, 2011 7:18 pm

In response to the destructive expression that lit the dragon's face, West had to grin. He'd never trashed a classroom before - well, he had that one time, he supposed, he just didn't remember how exactly - and flying in the face of authority was always a good time. So much for keeping things civil. He was about to suggest that they go destroy some s**t right now when a squishy mess flew out of nowhere and pelted Jericho in the back of the head.

West didn't blink for a couple of seconds, but then he guffawed loudly, as if his lungs had suddenly exploded. "ha hahaha haha... what?" He might have continued laughing, alienating his ragey classmate even more than any number of questions about etiquette class could have, if he too hadn't been assaulted by mysterious foodstuffs. The taco landed at the base of his horn and slid through his hair before falling to the dirt below. It was going to take ages to get this crap out of the grooves in his horns.

Suddenly, things weren't so funny anymore.

"Let's gettem," West growled. Who 'they' were was still up in the air at this point, but that had never stopped him from seeking out people to punch before.

Jericho didn't respond to West aside from giving a mere nod to the wrath demon. He let the laughing slip past this time around, seeing how he was willing to tackle who or whatever it was that was assaulting them with foodstuffs. Cracking his knuckles, he began to walk in the general direction of where the tacos had come from, and sure enough, another came sailing out at them from behind a bush.

Ducking to avoid getting splatted again, he dove at the bush. It didn't matter a whole lot if he got hit with more, seeing how he already smelled like a mixture of pumpkin spice and tacos, but that was beyond the point.

The bushes had rustled some before the dragon made impact, and out ran a gnome carrying several jollymeal bags. With a cackling laugh, he avoided Jericho's dive and was making haste to get out of there. Though, he launched one more taco at West just for good measure.
