i dunno im really not keen on XIII, if they make it more like older FFs maybe it won't be so bad.

I'm more curious to see if they are going to give Lightning a love interest. I just hope that they don't totally copy FFVII. I mean the guy in the trailer kinda reminds me of Sephiroth.

Two points:
I'm excited about it. I loved XIII, with the exception of the implausible last chapters. I really hope the story isn't as bad.
Lightning is hot. But, I hope she's a lesbian. Yes, I do.

It looked pretty cool to me. I don't know if you guys liked it as much, but I still spazzed pretty badly over it when I first saw the trailer. xD Anything ff is amazing to me!! <3

I did enjoy FF XIII but Snow and Vanielle were SO annoying. I will get the second one because I love the series but it better be better then FF X-2 cause that was pretty bad lolz xD

Guess Japan's yaoi and yuri authors weren't informed about that one. D: Unless that's just an "underground" [read: mainstream but still taboo] thing, like S&M is here in America. Square still has LGBT fans, and fans like myself who don't care either way what orientation you are. You are right though; large corporations generally shy away from what they perceive to be overt sexual content; unfortunately just saying the word "lesbian" means somebody is already naked. neutral There are so many nuances to a relationship, not all of them sexual. I think Fang could have a profound affect on Light, if the story is treated with respect and not as a showcase for more of "DAT THIGH!" [See: FFXIII-2 trailer, fanboys, drool] Ahem. That's why I still think it's a good idea for Square to harness the power of the many fanfiction writers who love the mythos of XIII. There are only a few on various sites that can do the story justice, but they're perfect. And since we clearly can't trust Square to come up with a coherent, relevant story, it's their best bet.

I don't know. They just might be. How many yuri and yaoi games/animes do you see, compared to other straight games/animes? Not a lot. They might just be taking homphobia into consideration. There are many places that are lesss tolerant of LGBT. I'm sure some parents would think playing a gmae where two females are in love could 'corrupt' their child. But anyways, yes. I agree on the fanfictions part. There are quite a few good ones that involve Light and Fang that aren't rated M, lol (though, I wouldn't mind XD ).
