It had been a late night phone call and a long argument that had led the spiky haired to sneak out of his door room and make his way to the park. He knew it was a dangerous thing to do, and if he were caught by police or even his dorm advisers, well...the consequences would not be pretty. But those thoughts were long since abandoned as the boy walked through the chilly park, hands shoved deep into his coat pockets.
He had hoped the walk, as well as the cold weather, would help clear his head and allow him to think. However his hopes had been trashed when he strayed to close to a tree and was suddenly snatched up around the waist by monkey's tail.
At first Chase was confused, he wasn't sure what had just happened it was until he looked up. His eyes widened as they met the gaze of glowing yellow eyes and a snarling beak full of razor sharp teeth. He was the captive of a monkey-like creature who's face resembled that of some bird.
"What the hell?" He exclaimed when he looked up into the tree the creature was currently climbing, and saw a similar face. Uh-oh, maybe the park was a really, really bad idea.

Ellie Spectre. Normal tomboy who lived near the park and frequently was caught cutting through the public property just to make it back home. She had just been heading back from Hank's garage when she managed to catch sight of a monkey-bird Youma. There wasn't anybody about, but just in case, she slipped into a large brush covered area and henshined up. When Sailor Iris pushed her way back out into the open (without a hint of grace, as usual), the thread had vanished.
Obviously, no other senshi had been around, so it disappearing meant it had run off. She could have panicked about the whole thing, since a loose Youma meant it would be searching for something specific. Something with a starseed and some sort of energy.
Rushing down the sidewalk pathway, the feather adorned senshi of rainbows began to search for the Youma again. As she passed several rather large trees, her golden eyes finally managed to catch upon something that didn't fit the normal picture. There was a boy in a tree. However, it wasn't the usual "boy-in-tree" scenario. He was being held there by something in the tree. The first thing to come to mind was the first thing she said.
"Damn, that looks like some serious wedgie action goin' on!"
Sailor Iris failed when it came to being sensitive or sympathetic to a dire situation.

Chase hadn't even noticed the arrival of the rainbow clad senshi. In fact he was too busy trying free himself from the grip of the monkey-like creature. He had heard that there had been sightings of strange creatures but he had never thought he would witness one first hand. Then again it wasn't often that he snuck out of his dorm room to roam around DC at night.
He didn't notice Sailor Iris until she said something and the bird-faced monkey turned it's gaze on her. It opened it's beak to let out a loud screech that left Chase's ears ringing. Suddenly he felt himself dropping, only to be caught by the creature's tail as it scaled the tree, climbing higher and higher before resting upon a narrow branch.
It ripped another branch off the trunk of the tree before lobbing it at the senshi. The youma's tail drooped leaving Chase hanging by practically a thread, which really was quite terrifying. He dangled staring down at the girl. "What the...."

For a moment, Sailor Iris continued to watch. It was only when she noticed the sudden drop and catch the youma did with its potential meal ticket that she remembered what she was supposed to be doing. Smacking her own fist against her other hand's open flat palm she uttered "Right!" With a single firm nod, she began to walk forward, until rather suddenly the monkey-bird ripped a huge limb off of the tree it was perched in.
"What th'hell?!!" The youma really didn't hesitate to just chuck that branch at her. Quickly she jumped out of the way, though some of the prickly little sticks had managed to dig into the skin of her thighs. She hissed behind her teeth, but tried to not dwell on this for too long.
"Sh*t dude... I'm gonna try t'get ya down from there... um... somehow... uh...sh*t!" Somehow she doubted that youma was going to be coming down from the tree any time soon. The wheels in her mind began to turn, trying to figure out a way to get the boy safely out of the youma's grasps. Pretty much every way she turned the situation in her mind, she was seeing some sort of injury. It was also hard to give the subject too much thought, with the thought of that monkey-bird chucking more wood at her.

Chase had no idea what was going on. He had no knowledge of what the creature holding him was or what 'organization' that it belonged to, nor did he know who the hell the girl in the yellow skirt was. The only thing the pink haired boy knew was that he was being dangled by a tail up in a high tree. He also knew that he should probably be screaming his head off for help but he felt strangely...serene.
It wasn't like he hadn't been in dangerous situations before, he had several times, but this was different. This was life threatening but he didn't feel the need to scream. Hell he'd probably fight back if he thought it would do him any good. He'd probably get himself killed if he did that now that he thought about it.
The girl started to talk to him as the monkey-bird thing's tail drooped lower leaving him hanging upside down. With the blood rushing to his head he didn't give much thought to her words. "This ******** sucks," he groaned as the youma launched another branch at Iris

Branch number two was thrown in her direction, just as large as branch number one. This game was getting to be rather annoying, grating on those last bits of restraint the tomboy had. Once more, she dodged out of the way, landing in the grass. This time she tightened up her left hand as she somewhat rolled to the side. Firmly, she planted her elbow into the ground to stop that movement before pushing herself up again. By the time she was on her feet, her fist was glowing.
"Alright ya damned Youma!" She whipped her left hand to the side. The motion itself seemed to cause something to sprout out from the quick movement of her hand. Something rather colorful.
"Enough playin'! Iris Rainbow Ribbon!!!" Not fully thinking this whole thing through, the senshi then swung her arm out, lashing the ribbon of colored light towards the strange creature.

The youma let out a horrible screech as Iris's rainbow light attack cut through it's midsection throwing both it and Chase backwards before it denigrated in to dust. The teen had no clue what was transpiring, but he was very aware of the fact that he was falling.
At first he just stared blankly at the sky as he fell, aware that the tree branches were passing by him at an alarming rate. Perhaps it was the fall that prevented from thinking a coherent thought but seconds clicked by before he even moved. He reached out trying to grab a branch in hopes that it would either stop his fall or slow it when another monkey-bird jumped from another tree and snatched him up before perching itself on a branch.
It turned it's attention to Iris letting out an unpleasant screech before it chucked Chase at her.
Awesome, exactly what he wanted. To be saved from falling only to be launched into another state of falling. Awesome.

About 5 seconds later, Sailor Iris realized her mistake. Oops.
However, now wasn't the time to dwell on mistakes. Especially when another Youma managed to save her a**. Well, sort of. It managed to save the boy from becoming a pancake on the ground, but at the same time, it seemed like the creature only had one reason to save the victim.
To use him as a human projectile.
There were two options given to her in those split seconds. Try to dodge the projectile and let this unnamed boy splatter against whatever the hell he landed on (perhaps a tree or concrete). Or, she could defend herself and try to cushion the blow for him.
Sadly, she somewhat knew that she kinda owed him already for messing up that whole falling thing in the first place. In a hurried shout, she offered "Use yer arms t'protect yer face!" The tomboy then braced her own body for impact, somewhat waiting for the boy to collide with her and send her flying back as well.

Chase definitely did not like being thrown in the air by some money-bird creature, especially since he had been at quite the height and was currently hurtling towards some stupid rainbow clad chick. Now he had never had a high opinion of these senshi, terrorists or whatever they were but it wasn't really getting any better as he did what she said and brought his arms to protect his face as he collided with the other teen.
"Ow, ********," he cursed lying on top of the girl, coughing from the lack of oxygen and the dust their collision with each other and the ground had created. He made the effort to roll off of her so his weight wasn't crushing her (he didn't weigh that much but still).
"Jesus," he mumbled lying on his back, almost ignorant of the fact the monster was still there, as he ran a hand over his face.

The collision course was set, and soon enough the pair were in a small pile on the ground. Of course, when he mumbled out his curses, she retorted with a simple "Don't mind me..."
At least he eventually moved. And then just lay down as if nothing around him seemed to matter.
"Uh, hello... that youma's still after yer a**, last I checked!" As if trying to be some annoying form of a conscious, she waved a hand in front of his face in an effort to bring him back to reality. However, she couldn't afford to just wait for him to resume paying attention. The screech of the strange hybrid monkey-bird was enough for her to push back up to her feet and summon another pale rainbow to her hand. It seemed a bit brighter than the previous one, but it definitely wasn't slicer-intensity.
Perhaps it was careless, but she let the ribbon drape along the ground after her for a bit as she tried to relocate the enemy. As she turned, she didn't notice that the rainbow itself actually had draped itself along the boy's leg casually.

The boy had no idea what the hell the crazy girl was yelling about. He didn't know what a youma was but as far as he was concerned it hadn't shown up until she had shown up. Okay, so that wasn't true but he was content to blame it upon her rather than blame it upon himself. "What the hell are you--" he was cut off as he felt a sheering pain on his ankle as the senshi's rainbow draped across his leg. "OOW!" He screeched scrambling backwards even as it burned his skin.
He attempted to swat at it pathetically as it singed the tips of his finger tips. "What the hell?!" He yelled scooting away from her and wrapping his hands around his burned flesh. "What did you do? What's wrong with you!" He was angry and perhaps blaming her pointlessly but as far as he was concerned, she had inflicted more damage upon him, scarring him even, than the weird bird-monkey thing that was watching them cluelessly.

If there was one way to get Iris' attention, it was that lovely pained sound that the boy made. "Oh sh*t! Sorry 'bout that!!" Rather than fully dismissing the attack, she swung the ribbon back so it wasn't touching his skin anymore. However, that was about all she really did. She had said "Sorry", which meant she had done her part to apologize. The senshi wasn't going to nurse his wounds and make sure he felt "better." Only fags needed that sort of attention, and pussies gave that sort of attention.
She hoped this guy wasn't a f**, and she knew she definitely wasn't a p***y.
"...jus... get yer a** outta 'ere... I'll take care of these... jus' try t'not get snatched up again..." With her free hand, she simply waved a hand at him in the universal "SHOO" gesture. "Get goin'!"

His skin burned and he hissed in pain once he finally closed his hand around the damaged skin. It didn't help much but it prevented too much air from getting contact with it, that and he just thought it would help. He was even more annoyed when all she did was pull whatever that whip thing was away just a bit and continue on with whatever the ******** she was doing. He didn't say it aloud but one word came to mind when it came to his description of the girl, b***h.
He glared at her even as he pulled his hand away and moved to stand. A hand curled into a fist and he was half tempted to launch himself at her but he restrained himself. He did not like the way she was talking to him, how she was ordering him about. He had half a mind to tell her off but as the monkey creature began to advance on them and with that rainbow whip still out...he decided it would be in his best interests to just leave.
Though he wouldn't forget this, bloody terrorist and all. He really didn't like this chick.
