It had been days since Night had last seen Tybalt. Weeks it felt like, YEARS almost. Since the Christmas raid where Tybalt had actually been kind enough to deal with Nightengale, had given night some kinda of hope that their Love(Night) - Hate(Tybalt) relationship had improved. But alas, it had not, the ghost dog had been avoiding Night like the black plague, and that saying something for the two ghost, especially since Night was usually a keen tracker of his favorite canine friend.
Today had been different though, While Night was out exploring like usual, even though he was sure Rain was not to far off, He happened upon the very being that had made it his life mission to all out ignore and resist Night.
"Tybalt!" Night pounced from the ledge he had been balancing right on to the dog's back and death gripped him in fear that the boy would freak out, "Found you! Finally, I thought you had run away from the academy after the Christmas raid!" Night ignored the fact that Tybalt was fighting him like a caged dog.

There was one reason and one reason only that the black dog was out and about this time of day and that was the possibility of a storm! He could sense it! This was going to be more than just a little bit of rain! And to be honest. He could really use a storm to calm his nerves right about now. Over the last few weeks he had experienced torment upon torment. Though unfortunately, what he didn't know, was that today would be no exception.
It must of been about five minutes after he had stepped into school yard, when a familiar pest sprung out of nowhere and latched onto his back like a koala. Resulting in many colourful words and the black dog literally flipping about and rolling on the ground to get him off.
"Y-YOU! W-WHY ARE YOU HERE!?" He practically squeaked the words out, before trying to pry the feline off.
So much for relaxation...

"Yes Me!" Night purred as he gripped the dog boy tighter even as the rolled to the ground rolling around, Night considered it a game and clung as tightly as he could, his eyes glinted with mischief and playful attitude. "I came to find you! Where have you been eh?" Night clung a minute more before jumping off, torturing his friend who he knew didn't like the cuddles was not on Night's mind, well at the moment.
"You know there is a storm coming right? Can't you smell the rain, its not safe to be outside!" Night pouted as he looked to the sky and then pointed to the darkened fat clouds, thick with collected water from oceans and rivers.
"What are you planning out here eh?" Night followed the other boy closely, making sure that Tybalt didn't make a run for it. Tybalt was fast too, while Night could keep up probably, his friendship relied on the sneak attacks he could pull off. There was a reason his friend was Vice captain of the track team.

Tybalt was just about ready to slam his back up against a wall to get rid of the feline when the boil suddenly released him. Saving him the trouble of possibly hurting himself getting claws sunk into his back... Ugh! This was starting to become a daily ritual for the two of them. No matter where he went or what day. Night was there--ready to pounce! It was amazing that the black dog hadn't had a heart attack by now. Then again, it could have something to do with the fact that he was already dead.
With some newly gained distance, between the two he turned to face the feline. Who unfortunately was trailing close enough behind that if he tried to bolt, the other could easily keep up. Damn it. "Where do you think I've been? In class!" A lie. He had actually skipped class today. "And yes I know a storm is coming. It's kind of hard to miss." He said; jabbing his thumb up at the sky that was growing darker by the minute. Though he purposely left out the fact that he enjoyed storms. The last thing he needed was to have a black cat tailing him every time he went out to experience a storm.
"Why are you out here? I thought you'd be huddled under a blanket the moment you scented the rain in the air." He asked this, but the answer was more than obvious.

Night snickered as he let go of the dog, man it was just so much fun to tease his companion. Even now he could tell the boy was cursing Night and his sneak attacks. More of which Night enjoyed himself, how could he not? He got to semi cuddle with the dog even if he rejected him like Night a creature from the dreaded Christmas town. Bleh.
Again, sticking close in case Tybalt got the nerve to make a run for it, Night put his hands behind his neck and raised an eyebrow at the ghost dog. "Oh yeah? I hear otherwise..." Night was sure the boy had been trying to get a medallion or something the last he heard of him, but then again he wasn't sure if Tybalt was in class or not, seeing as Night still had to join classes himself.
"Then why the devil are you out here?" Night's tail flicked in annoyance, why else would the dog come out to enjoy the clouds pouring large amounts of ugh...water. While Night enjoyed a good storm himself, he enjoyed them in the confines of his room wear he didn't have to be outside in it[/i. There could be only one good solution to why Tybalt was out here.
"You know, just because your a dog doesn't mean you have to come outside to use the bathroom now...They make actual bathrooms for that." Night cocked his head before snorting, "I am out here to make sure nothing happens to you, and because I just found you again after so long!" Night shivered as he looked to the clouds and heard the deep rumble of the sky, "Believe it or not Tybalt, I was under my blanket in my room far far away from the rain! But with you out here, I was worried and here I am, so we should go back inside, I'll show you where the bathroom is and then we can hang in your room!" Night nodded his head at his own plan, even though Tybalt for sure would be like hell no.

Tybalt couldn't help but look the other way when Night saw through his lie. Was it that obvious? "Who cares... What business is it of yours, anyways?" He asked, his tone showing signs of anger. "I don't have to tell you what I do and when. Your not my mother!" He was about to walk off again, when Night assumed the craziest.
"I DO NOT NEED TO PEE!" He shouted back; a little too loudly he realized and brought the volume of his voice back down, before he spoke again. "I'm a ghost! When have you ever heard of a ghost needing to pee!? For Jack's sake! You of all people should know that, considering the fact that you are a ghost!" He snarled. The thunder in the sky ( which was now almost black completely black, save for a few patches of grey ) seeming to empathize his mood. "and I know where the bathroom is!" He added. Though that was for the record. This is getting ridiculous...
"Look Night. You can go to your own room if you want, but I'm staying right here and you can stay the hell away from my room! Mine is a cat free zone!" Even though he said that... he knew it was a rule that Night never obeyed.

"It's always my business! Your my best friend!" Night said matter of factually before holding his hand up to stop any protest from the ghost dog. Tybalt could deny it all he wanted but in the end, they both knew that he spoke the truth. "I didn't say you were my son fool." Night hissed the last words out before grinning madly at the dog's reaction to his assumption.
"YEAH I THINK YOU DO!" Night yelled back in a equally loud voice before laughing a lot, holding his gut in response. "I am just saying bro, if you need to pee, even if you are a ghost, they have bathrooms. for jack's sake man. I am a cat not a dog ghost, were much better then dogs." He held up his hand again in a attitude pose as his tail twitched and he chuckled at the dog's frustration.
"Look Tybalt..." Night left off before frowning and then a face of pure despair and sadness covered his features, "You don't want to hang out with me? I can't go back now..." Night looked up at the sky and hissed before moving obnoxiously close to Tybalt. "Umbra loves me so I will visit your room if I want to haha!" He said even though his tone said differently. Already the strain of the incoming rain was bothering him as he shifted uncomfortably.

"Che! That is something you decided all on your own." He countered. How the hell did this blasted feline ever get the impression that they were friends anyways?
"Hah!" He couldn't help the crooked smile that quickly spread across his face when Night hissed a reply. "Are you sure? Because I'm not. After all that nagging it's hard to tell." How annoying. Despite his obvious anger his amusement was starting to get the better of him. After all, Night really did give off that motherly vibe at times. Though perhaps that was just because he was a clingy b*****d?
Unfortunately, in a flash, the humor disappeared almost instantly when Night persisted about him having to take a piss.
"I swear to JACK! Are you thick headed or something!? I'm a GHOST I DON'T NEED TO PEE! Dog or not! When have you ever heard of a ghost needing to pee!?" This was ridiculous. He was beginning to wonder what the point was in even arguing anymore. He was never going to get the point through to this guy.
"And you can stay OUT of my room and AWAY from Umbra! Last thing I need is for you to taint my beautiful girl!" He growled. "Go back to your own dorm room if your frightened!"

"I didn't decided it on my own, Its a complimation of coincidental meetings that led to us talking and eventually into a love -hate - love relationship of friendship, Tybalt you poor dog." Night gave the dog a slap on the back before letting his hands slide up and over his head, resting at the crook of his neck.
Night watched the smile and frowned, his ears laying flat as Tybalt again referred to him as his mother. "Pfft, I am not nagging, just annoyingly persistent in conversation Tybalt, just persistent." Night shrugged the dogs assumption off before laughing again at the dog's reaction.
"Your a bit touchy about the subject, have a bed wetting problem in the past life Tyablt?" Night snorted as the first clap of thunder echoed, causing him to jump in surprise and fear. his eyes instantly went to the sky expecting rain, "Look Tybalt, I think we should really go back, Its about to rain and its looking bad. Umbra will be sad if you leave her alone when its about to rain." Night's hand snaked out to grip on the black dog's coat, shaking from the fear of the rain onslaught he could smell.

Tybalt gave another frustrated sigh when he continued to deny the fact that they weren't friends. A sigh which ended in a low growl, as the same black cat gave him a slap on the back.
Why the hell did he feel the need to keep touching!? Stupid cat!
"Oh for the love of---listen you!" He started, jabbing a finger in the feline's direction; glaring while doing so. "I want to be outside! Not inside! As I said before you can go inside by yourself! I am NOT your baby sitter!"
His frown deepened at the mention Umbra. Again. "Umbra isn't a sissy like you, cat" he countered, "she can handle storms just fine. Besides, she has Ymbre with her." He finished, looking up at the sky to see that the storm was just about overhead.
This was taking way too long. Any longer and he was going to miss the storm completely! It would be a complete waste!

Night was too busy looking at the sky as he felt the first drop of rain on the tip of his nose. He hissed in response, every hair standing on end as the downpour begin. In response to the rain though, Night instantly clung straight to Tybalt, plastering himself over the dog as if Tybalt would some how keep him same from the rain that was pouring down.
"At...At least..." Night started to hiss / stutter out, "Well your outside Tybalt. And I didn't want you to babysit just...protect me from the rain!!" Night continued to cling to the dog. Thunder clapped again as lightening flashed across the sky. Night's eye's closed in fear as his body being to tremble, flashing from his ghostly transparent side to his full humanoid form.
"Tybalt." He hissed the words out in a quiet whisper, hoping the dog wouldn't notice the scared eyes Night had.

Tybalt started to back up as Night approached, only to end up in a failed attempt with the feline clinging to him; startling a yelp out of the black dog.
Again with the touching!
"For Jack's sake! You would have been fine if you stayed inside!" He snapped; all the while, trying to pry the black cat off of him. Which sadly, was another failed attempt. It was like the cat was super glued to him or something.
Having little success, he grumbled in irritation, standing there a moment longer, hoping waiting to see if Night was going to give up and go inside. He didn't. Even after the rain and thunder rolled in, he still clung.
It was useless...
"Fine! I'll take you back inside! Happy!?" He growled, half walking, half dragging the black cat back towards the building.

Night buried his head in the dog's back as he super clung. Every time he felt a drop of water hit his body, he jumped and clung even tighter, sure that his grip would probably suffocate the dog.
"I just wanted to visit Tybalt!" Night meowed flipping off the sky, why did it have to rain? He tried to focus on the lightening that flashed and the loud thunder but it useless against the onslaught of the wet rain.
"Are you going to stay inside!?!? Cause I'll just come back out and bother you if you leave again!" Night hissed before sighing. "I'm sorry Tybalt, I don't mean to be such a child but I hardly get to see or hang out with you anymore. Besides, who else is suppose to help you get over your cat fear!?!?" Night hissed as a big fat drop landed on his nose, splashing water all over his face. "For Jack's sake man! Why did you have to go outside in rain." Night whispered, "Next time I decide to surprise attack you, I will wait for good weather, and then drag you to see the stars or or...maybe into the forest for a hunt! OR WE COULD PLAY BALL." Night started to ramble as he continued to cling to Tybalt's back, slowly getting closer to the ghost dorm room.

Tybalt tried to ignore him as best he could and had managed to do so for a while, but soon decided against it and spoke.
"This is ridiculous..." He sighed in frustration, running his free hand through his hair. "Night! Your a ghost! Why the heck are you scared of the rain!? Why not quit acting like a spoiled overgrown house cat and get over your own fear before you start lecturing me about mine, hypocrite!" He snapped, but froze in horror when he realized he just admitted his fear and to Night no less! "N-not that I-I'm afraid of cats or anything..." He corrected, despite it being an obvious lie. It was all true. He was terrified of cats. He wanted nothing to do with them. Even the mere touch of this guy was making his skin crawl! But he didn't want to admit it.
"Now would you just shut up and go insi---" He started, in an attempt to change the subject, but froze again when the black cat's words finally sunk in. The thunder crashed overhead in a large boom as the rain finally began it's downpour. "...What do you mean next time..?" He asked, looking the black cat directly in the eyes for the first time. "Just how long do you plan on stalking me, huh!?"
