The Last Battle

Eko seems to have a passion for fighting, and has decided on another fight. This will be the last one, regardless of his future petitions though. If he wants a fight in the future, he'll be fighting in the actual story or someone else, cause I'm tired of fighting him XD. With that said, I gave him a choice between fighting Griel and Arin, though none of you will know who Arin is. He decided on Arin, so without further waste here he is:

Arin Doren

Description (Bio)
((Arin isn't a character I'm making up off the top of my head. He's actually from the first Roleplay I ever made so I've decided to use him ^.^ We shall see how this works for Eko. Fyi, this took place almost three years ago.))
Arin was born in a land where the difference races all thrived to surpass the rest either by technology, or by war strength. Chaos was the result of this, and as one expected during the chaos innocent people were killed. Among these casualties included Arin's parents. Arin ended up traveling the world after this, being exiled from his village for his ability of lightning control. He eventually found a vampire and befriended her, only to later that same year nearly to die only to be brought back by being turned into a vampire by her to save him.

Abilities
Arin is on in that in his time and place one could not learn the use of lightning before first developing the control of fire, and Arin completely tossed aside this entire idea and mastered lightning. He has the use fire, but that is limited. He is a master of the element lightning, but has some tendency to not use it. He is skilled in the use of two swords.

Setting of Battle
The fight will be taking place during a rainy night in a location resembling Ama fields. There is a nearby time though, probably a representation of Flandor, but the town is not large. It large enough for someone to hide among the buildings though. The area is not lit by many lights, the only lights being artificial lights that light the city. The field is left in darkness, though the distant lights of the city do make it possible to make out shadowy shapes or rocks and such in the field.

Eko stood out in the middle of the field, waiting for his opponent. The rain poured all over him but it did not bother the Dragarian. His large robe covered his wings, making it look like he had a large lump on his back. But Eko didn't mind though, as long as it was not lightning Eko did not care if it rained. In fact, Rain was one of the few things that he could enjoy, the coolness rubbing onto his skin.

Eko's large broadsword hung over his back, much larger than a normal blade of the make. He was ready neverless. He had been told of how his foe was ....diffrent. Diffrent could be good diffrent could be bad. A challenge was really what Eko needed, but he still wondered. The mercenary's face though, showed no emotion whatsoever. He looked straight ahead. Anticipation one of the few emotions running through his mind.

Arin Doren

{{OOC:// I'll make a post format for him later, right now I'm too lazy.}}

Eko's enemy really made no rush to get to him, as could be seen in his slow walking pace towards the male in the field. In fact, it honestly looked like the dark shadow of a person walking towards him really didn't seem to be a whole deal interested in anything. He wore a simple cloak, the hood pulled up over his head to keep his head dry as he walked across the field. He seemed to change course every few seconds, but this was because he was doing this to avoid the puddles of water that littered the field. It was obvious if one knew why he was moving the way he did to note that the figure obviously had no trouble seeing in the dark. This was an important quality for the situation the battle prescribed, but then again it did not really matter.

Slowly the figure came to a stop several yards from Eko before appearing to stretch slightly. "So, I'm not a real fan of fighting, but you seem the type to get some enjoyment out of it, so would you be so kind as to attack me first?" The voice didn't sound old, in fact he sounded quite young, though perhaps a bit older than Eko. The male yawned slightly before slowly taking a crouching stance. "Arin, thats my name. And yours?" Arin was obviously a rather friendly person as most people didn't introduce themselves on a battle field, but whatever. He seemed to have about as much concern for the future as a child did to their future occupation. There was a certain serious to his manner though, like he was still tense even though he spoke like someone unconcerned with the fight at hand.

Eko eyed the man in front of him, warily. His eyes never left him as he responded to the man's question; watching for any signs of a weakness. Not showing it, Eko was listening to the sky, for the sign of thunder or lightning.

"My name is Eko." He said quietly, hoisting his sword forward, "And If you are not a "fan" of fighting then why are you here?" He placed blood on the sword's seal and seperated it into two. Placing the fire sword into the ground while holding his wind blade. He wasn't going to fall for any trick to make him attack first.

"I think not." Eko said slowly, "I'd rather let you take the first move thanks." He bent his knees ready for a reaction.

Arin Doren

{{OOC:// Same: I'll make a post format for him later, right now I'm too lazy.}}

The cloaked figure turned his head slightly, the result barely being notable beneath the hood. "Because, even those who do not enjoy fighting must be able to fight to defend their beliefs." Arin responded cooly. The sudden decision that Eko would not attack first drew a sigh from Arin. The hood slowly shook on the cloak, obviously Arin shaking his head in response to Eko's words. There were several reasons that Arin had asked the male to attack first, but to get the male off guard was not one of them. It was more of an issue of not being willing to attack another person that kept Arin from attacking, not because he wanted to wait for Eko to attack first.

"Well, Eko, then I'm afraid this fight might never get off the ground. The point of you attacking me is not to give me an advantage, but rather because I am bound by my beliefs to not attack first. So, I ask you once more, attack." And with this, Arin held his arms out, showing that he had no intentions of even countering Eko should he attack. This was one quality that Arin could not deny about himself, he could not attack someone first. His beliefs would not allow for it, and as willing as he was to test his strength here, he needed to be attacked first. Something twitched beneath the hood of the cloak, the hood moving slightly in response. If Eko could see Arin's head, which was impossible with the way the hood hung over Arin's face, he might have taken notice of the furry ears there, but that really mattered not.

Eko eyed his foe..........beliefs? Whatever those were. His only thing he thought of was win, no matter what. His eyebrows furrowed as he ruffled his cloak. He turned his vision back towards his foe. His eyes could show forethought but nothing to truly be revealed, he bent his knees further and took a deep breath before opening his eyes and sighing, showing his large fangs.

"Fine." Eko said quietly, "But the thing about beliefs.........beliefs only get you killed in the end." And with that he grabbed the fire sword with one hand and spun before throwing it, using wind small enought that it could not be felt, and sending the blade faster at his opponent. His cloak ripped as his wings shot out, damn he'd have to buy a new one. Then, he held his wind blade and shot a wide gust of razor wind at his foe, which involved spinning around and having the wind sword erupt a circular outburst of wind. Scales shot out of his wings in every direction, Eko grunting as they were replaced like shark's teeth, quickly and effectivly.

He leapt back and opened his wings wide, legs bent with his sword in a cross the body fashion. Let the game begin.

He then leapt back

Arin Doren

{{OOC:// I'm not going to make one, I changed my mind XD}}

Arin didn't move in the slightest as Eko bent his knees and prepared to what looked like lunge. Arin could only shake his head in response to what Eko had to say about beliefs though, that they only got one killed. Not true, not with Arin's. He was still alive, and his beliefs had kept him that way for most of his life. He wasn't about to go back on them now. He was a peace-bringer, not a fighter really. It was just that to be a peace-bringer Arin had been forced to know how to fight. One could not bring peace without fighting the chaos.

Arin shook his head as Eko threw his sword, a stupid maneuver really. One didn't throw a sword, it left their enemy with said blade and left themselves without it. As stupid as it may have seemed, Arin simply side-stepped out of the way before flicking his hand out and taking ahold of the rather heavy blade. The result sent poor Arin back a few feet, sliding. The main affect was that Arin now had Eko's blade though, a rather hefty blade that concerned Arin that he wouldn't be able to actually use it. Well, that was one price to pay to have his enemies blade in his hands.

Arin firmly thrusted the blade into the ground as Eko turned and sent a wave of what appeared to be metal feathers at him, but Arin wasn't too concerned about the whole issue. Using Eko's own sword, Arin jumped onto the blades hilt before jumping up into the air, avoiding Eko's wind and feathers before landing on the ground almost soundlessly, with a soft sigh escaping him. Arin's head snapped up before he lunged, covering the distance between him and Eko in four quick steps, there was the sudden movement of a dark shape, Arin's blade, as it was freed from it's scabbard, Arin swinging the blade free from the scabbard in a horizontal swing, forcing either Eko to block with that blade of his or back-step away.

Eko noted that his foe was fast.......like a cat or fox, whichever pleases the imagination. He had held his sword in a steady defense and was not let down when, his opponent leapt over his air gust. Nimble aren't we? Eko thought, his eyes still cold with the sight of prey and the chance to kill. Eko formed a ball of air in his hand as the Cat/Fox swung at him.

He then used the flat of the blade to hold off the opponents attack, leaning into it with his shoulder and gripping with his feet a firm foundation. Following this little maneuver, he aimed the condensed ball of air at his opponents body, with it ready to explode and throw back Arin. Following this Eko concentrated on the sword that the Neko had implanted in the ground, causing the seal to glow red on the fire blade. IT shot forth a wave of fire, exploding from the ground using Eko's blood as a source of energy. Eko then bent his knees to jump to the side, all of this happening in a matter of seconds.

Arin Doren

{{OOC:// }}

Arin felt, rather than saw, the firm contact between metal as his blade met Eko's. Arin's two colored eyes glanced form beneath his hood at Eko, the yellow standing out, before Arin took Eko's burst of air, sending him flipping backwards. Arin landed sounded on his feet, but the rush of fire behind him cause Arin to react on reflex rather than any thought. The fire appeared to engulf Arin, but a moment later the nimble neko came rolling out of the fire, his cloak slightly alight with flames before they died away due to the falling rain. Arin slowly stood up as he brushed at a burned portion of the cloak before letting out a sigh. It was not pleasant to know he had burned his cloak, but at least he wasn't burned himself.

Arin's head suddenly snapped up as he charged at Eko, his blade flicking out suddenly, once again revealing the blade to be in his hand at all. Arin lunged, bringing his sword down vertically before bringing changing his grip on the sword to bring it into a horizantal swing, thus making it a hard attack to simply block. Arin was testing the boundaries of defense on his foe at the moment, and here soon he would test just how far that defense could go. Arin was simply toying with him at the moment, finding a feel for how his opponent moved so as to exploit these weaknesses.

Eko sidestepped the fire wave, swiftly and efficiently before seeing his foe come back at him. Sheathing his first sword, he opened his sleeves to reveal his bone claws, batting away his foe's blade, pulling it towards the ground with his claws in a cross fashion before leaping, using Arin's shoulder blades, and propelling himself towards his other sword, landing behind it and drawing it from the ground.

He then pulled out his wind blade once more and spun, sending a circular wave of fire all around, easily six feet high because another small amount of wind enhanced it's size, speed, and power. He then held his swords, one in a horizontal way that crossed his body, and the other straight up in the air, arm forward.

Arin Doren

{{OOC:// }}

So he had a secret weapon! Arin smirked as he found Eko using his bone claws to block the attack. That revealed another of Eko's usable weapons. This was getting more and more interesting as it went, but too bad for Eko that Arin was used to fighting people with weird fighting styles. He had traveled for a long time before stumbling on this arena, so it was just a matter of adapting, and quickly. Arin stumbled forward as Eko used his shoulders as a spring board, Arin turning slowly as Eko sent out a rather impressive wave of fire. Arin's smirk grew as he flicked his blade out, fire catching on it as he shook his head. Really? That was all? Arin hardly considered this attack a danger to him.

Arin pulled both hands onto his sword before bringing the sword down towards the ground, fire arcing from the blade and negating the motion of fire towards Arin, even though the other fires continued to spread out. Such and attack, while not originally strong, would still be draining on his foe, Arin realized. Even using wind to enhance the fire, Eko would be forced to provide more energy to the firest to keep it going without putting it out since there was nothing to burn besides the air. Arin let out a breath as he flicked his sword sideways, turning his eyes to Eko once more.

"Nice try, and I must say I like the scene." Arin said lightly, but loudly enough for Eko to hear. The fires Eko had let loose had actually caught part of the field on fire, but that was fading quickly. The wet grasses barely held the flames, and at that the rain was still falling making the fires disperse quickly. For that matter, it revealed the water laden area for a moment, but the fires did not reveal the face beneath the hood of the cloak that Arin wore. It really didn't matter, but there was one thing... if Eko had been able to see Arin smirk, he might have seen the sharp canines that Arin had... very much like a vampires. Really, it didn't matter if Eko figured that out or not. Even with that knowledge, it wouldn't help Eko though.

Eko sighed, exasperatingly, as the Neko cut off his fire attack. Damn he wasn't fast enough. So apparently his foe was a fire user, and who knew what else? Now Eko was really beginnning to wonder how he would be able to succed in this fight. The only way he would be able to win now was MAYBE by suprise, or using what little surroundings.......but he could use the wind.....but he was never really officially trained in it and needed a teacher.......for once..... of course now would be the time to use it against a foe like this. Eko didn't frown but his eyebrows furrowed.

Eko ran at his foe, leaping into the air, before dropping his fire blade impaling it into the ground. He then shot out four large archs of sharp wind from it at his foe, followed by a swift downward slice with his sword. Eko would not lose like a little child, even though technically he was.

Arin Doren

{{OOC:// }}

Eko did not seem to be handling Arin's abilities to both dodge and negate his attacks very well. It was a curious development, but it also showed the impatience of Arin's foe. This field was really a fire users worst nightmare though. The rain put out and fire that was started, and for that matter the wet field wouldn't catch fire really at all. Eko's fires had already been put out by the time that the male had charged at Arin, Arin standing still as he watched the male come. If he was planning to use fire again, he was going to make a serious mistake. By this point Arin could judge just how powerful Eko's fire could be without having a serious side affect on the males health, but that wasn't all as Arin could also judge, roughly, how long it would take for the fires to be put out by the rain.

Eko landed not far from Arin, wind tearing away from the male to hit Arin. The wind tore at the cloak as Arin sidestepped, pulling away form both the blade and Eko's wind, but the wind managed to tear and shred part of his cloak in the process. Beneath the cloak, Arin's arm was cut by the wind, but not anything even close to be concerned about. Arin suddenly brought his sword in, a spark of electricity on the blade before it passed the area Eko was in. A bolt of lightning descended from the sky instantly, being that lightning travels much faster than one can hope to dodge, slamming into the ground where Arin's blade had passed and effectively frying the area with it's electricity.

Arin skipped backwards a few steps, his eyes readjusting to the darkness that had once again return. Standing next to a bolt of lightning really didn't help one with their night vision. While the lightning had been nigh instant, that didn't mean Eko had even been there when Arin had swung. It had been a reflexive counter, but it certainly would keep Eko from attacking him right away. That, in itself, was a goal that Arin felt was worth achieving. Arin brought his sword up into a defensive stance, both hands resting on the handle with the blade angled downward, resting against his left arm.

Eko's eyes while not bulging could show the fear in his eyes as the lightning struck. He had jumped back and flew into the air as the boom occured from the sky and when he saw Arin's blade glew with electricity he panicked. He then shot off towards the city, dropping his blades, they could be retrieved in a moments notice and hurried before Arin could see him. He flew towards the town, Cover is what he needed, tactical advantage. As fast as he was going, he would be there in five minutes.
