 Tarik woke up from a nap with a yawn. His little red eyes looked up at the room around him. He was admiring the intricacies of the work on the ceiling and the walls when he suddenly felt an urge to go pad about. He looked around at the other cubs sleeping in the pile. Noone would miss him since he was only going to be gone for a second.
He got up and hopped around a few times before plowing off to go find something exciting. Only, he plowed right into the front legs of a lionness. He looked up to see someone new standing right in front of him. He didn't move back or to the side; for little Tarik felt a little surprised.

 As gleeful as she was, Nailah couldn't help but feel a little stalkerish as she watched her newest siblings sleep. As future-nanny, Nailah had decided to take care of her siblings for the day while her mother gained her strength back. Though, the cubs weren't really doing much except for napping and sleeping which made her job extremely easy, though she was kinda disappointed that none of them wanted to play with her.
That all changed when one of the cubs had woken up and bumped into her. Smiling brightly, she nuzzled her younger brother and curled around him, "Tariiiik." she quietly squealed, not wanting to wake her other siblings, "I'm Nailah and I'm your older sister."

Tarik purred and smiled. His tail picked up a rhythmic swishing to and fro. As she nuzzled him, he bent his face downward and inwards towards himself. Ah. This girl.. is a sister? He then thought to himself. How neat! Sisters must be girls who are very nice and like to nuzzle. ~I LIKE SISTERS!~ He thought to himself. He wondered if there were more sisters.
He then curled up against Nailah and started to rub on her tentatively. "Sissster... sister.... I like having a sister. Sister feels nice. Nailah is making me feel happy." He smiled up at her with his bright ruby red eyes. "Are there.. more sisters?" Here he had one of what would be his earliest memories. Being hugged by his sister. This moment was igniting a strong adoration for females. He hoped his life would be full of affectionate females.

Nailah giggled, "Of course you have more sisters!" she pointed at the huddled pile of cubs, "You have sisters and brothers. And a lot of older sisters and brothers like me." she noogied him softly, glad that Tarik liked her. As they got older, she was going to teach them everything she knew. Except for hunting. That wasn't really her strong point.
"So is there anything you want to do little Tarik?" she asked, debating if she should try and wash him. She really had no clue how to exactly do it to a cub. And she had always washed herself. Was she to do it like how she washed herself?

Tarik sat up and looked at her with bright wide eyes. "Can we have some treats? Some num nums? My tummy feels like it needs help." Then, he smiled cutely for her.
While he waited for her answer, he looked behind him at the pile. Wow. LOTS OF SISTERS! He guessed from her comment these brothers were nice boys. He hoped the boys were as nice as Nailah. He swished his tail some more at the thought of his loving sister.
He watched then for a moment as the movement of Nailah's tail caught his interest. He just couldn't look away. Then, he couldn't stop himself from trying to paw at it.

"Some treats?" Nailah asked, caught a bit off guard. Were they old enough to eat hard food? Though she was having a hard time saying no, staring at Tarik's cute little smile and face. "I-I don't know...you'd have to ask Mama..." that seemed like a good answer no? Glancing at her other younger siblings, making sure they were comfortable in their sleep, she felt a little nudge on her tail. Turning to see that it was Tarik, she laughed flicking her tail so it was just out of reach for the little cub.

Tarik flopped down when she moved the tail out of the way. He let out a mew when he heard her say "ask mama" about the treats. Then, he started to roll around on the ground to see if he could still swipe at her tail from the way he was laying. He continued to try this from all sorts of angles and positions. Though after a while, he thought it was a little boring. He was a curious little boy after all, but even more the curious, he even as a cub had that spirit of adventure. He wanted to DO something. He wanted to participate in something that was happening.
It was just so that a little milkweed pollen came dancing on the breeze through the room. He saw it and was mezmorized. He looked up, jumped, and swiped. He missed of course since it was much too high in the air. This didn't stop Tarik, oh no. He started to jump and race to catch it. He began to move right for the doorway. Ok. so there weren't any treats... but there was this pretty white floaty thing!

Giggling as she watched the little cub play and move about, keeping an eye on his movements. Realizing he was heading out, she leapt over to the doorway, grabbing him the scruff, careful not to hurt him. Turning around and placing him farthest from the door, "Can't let you go out." she said, "Mama's orders, Tarik."
