Well, it had been a long journey, but finally the unlikely duo had arrived within the mystic lands of the Kizingo'zaa. Picking their way along the winding cliff paths to descend into the lush jungle below with little complication at all considering one of the travelers had never known what it was to see. As they reached the base of the sheer rock face engraved with thin walkways the tall, swarthy lion paused to take in the crisp breeze which carried the scent of sea salt and moisture even despite their distance from the shore. Even with the relief of the drifting currents this place was far more humid than the mountain side where the thick pelted male originally hailed from. These pride lands were also an all together different place than the Jini msemi swamps where Ozark had sought refuge, he could only hope that such a fact would suit his favor.

Waitinnnng.. we wonder if kitty is thinking second thoughts? Will they show acceptance or rejection? No one knooows.. The eerie voice of Ozark's companion was sluggish and hollow as it beckoned from several paces ahead. The young stray didn't need to see the serval's necrotic green hide to know that there was something off about his partner. Given how lethargic as Kioza was the sudden rash of excitement startled the lion. Ozark wondered if it wasn't something about these lands that made him particularly eager as he leapt in a graceful arc down to the soft, fragrant ground below, enjoying the way the dirt shifted beneath his paws.

He was slow to follow the echo of Kioza's voice, aware with the changing scents and sounds that the strange cat was leading him deeper into the heart of the Kizingo lands. It put the wary giant on guard, muscles tense with an acute alertness that came from many years of learning how to survive with his impairment.

User Image Rajani was playing, she was generally always playing with nothing at all. She tended to just sit there playing with nothing. She would bat away at what she would believe to either be another cub or a fallen leaf or something similar when really there was nothing there at all. She really wasn't quite with it but then that was just what she was like. On some occasions she would be seen to jump off rocks hoping to fly... she really wasn't the most normal of cubs.

Today she was playing but she was talking up at the tree. Occasionally she would poke the tree to try and get it to answer her questions and it did seem so very odd that it never did reply. Yet she carried on talking to it about anything and everything. Today the subject was on birds and how it was so very inconsiderate of them to nest in the trees without asking permission.

This way, thissss way... Kioza hissed from his perch on the bend of a fallen branch, his head falling disjointedly to one shoulder as if were prepared to roll right off his neck. Things had certainly changed since the pair had first met, back when the unusual serval had merely been an observer. Watching with only a vague interest as the blind lion made his way through the world. Hunting. Traveling. Defending his own backside. All without the advantage of sight. It was intriguing really.

Somewhere along the line, without his realizing it, Kioza's curiosity had become something more akin to fascination. And though he eventually extended a measure of effort to aid the admirable male, Ozark had always remained ever determined to be self sufficient. He was a strange one alright. Even now, as Kio attempted to lead him down an easier path through the dense jungle underbrush, he seemed to have his own ideas of where he should be heading.

Not that w--
Quiet. Without urgency or the influence of any one particularly strong emotion there was a firm authority to Ozark's tone. His ears swiveling like antennae, listening to the sounds of the jungle before them. I hear someone.

He stated finally, after a long moment of awkward silence. To which the serval replied bluntly, granted with a eerie chuckle at the way his companion stared at him. I don't hear it..

It crossed his mind to wonder how it was possible that the giant was capable of such a derisive expression. Apparently one didn't need the ability to see to be able to mock another or maybe it was just Ozark, Kio was willing to believe that. I'm not surprised.

Sheathe those claws, kitty... I'm only here to-- But the gangrenous serval was rushing to catch up with the neglectful rogue before he could finish his sentence. Bounding across the landscape, narrowly missing various obstacles, until he was traveling in line with his partner and watching from the vantage of the branches over head. For the most part Ozark ignored Kioza, save the exception of an occasional sharp glance when the serval was being particularly loud. His own immense frame surprisingly stealthy as he edged close to the sound of conversation. If it could be called such, he could only hear one voice as he called out. Hello...

Rajani's ear's flicked as she heard conservation though part of her believed it was the tree just talking back to her or maybe she was hoping it was. Either way it took a while for her to even think about what it was that she was doing as she was clearly so distracted by a tree. However she did turn around, one red eye and one blue searching the surrounding area.

"Hello?" She tilted her head curiously as she looked towards the direction the sound had come from. Did one of the other trees want to talk to her? She couldn't help but wonder and so she ran to some other trees tilting her head and sniffing each one but none replied or said a thing.

"How odd..." She looked around once more, without waiting to hear anything else she ran back to the original tree and sat down once more staring at the bark in front of her. She was completely normal of course.

Waaaaaait! Kioza hissed half under his breath as his gaze fluttered around the woodlands with an expression akin to anxiety. Only an idiot would go storming into strange lands, calling out to the Gods only knew what that might be lurking in wait. But then, the serval was hardly surprised. Ozark had proven on more than one occasion to be as brazen as the days were hot in the savanna. Apparently being blind also didn't lend much to fear.

Would you wait just a minute!? Could be calling an ambush on our heads kitty.. and then where would you be? Let me check things out. Leering down at the tall figure with his dark backside as if the lion were capable of reading his expression, far more agile feline slithered ahead. The greens of his pelt blending well against moss and lichen covered tree branches he weaved through while approaching the silhouette of a small form even darker in coloration than his companion. A cub all on its own, a little strange, but not entirely unbelievable in the more passive prides. Interes--ahh, thought I told you to wait?!

Ozark glanced up at the snake-like beast hovering in the trees as he was scolded. Expression ever frozen in apathy.I never asked for a scout.

Strong, yet husky voice assured as he carefully stepped over a root that lifted up from the soft earth beneath the pads of his paws. Moving deeper into the area where Kioza and the other now resided. Deep, quiet breaths filled his lungs with the air surrounding him, filling in the darkness by way of the scent of familiar flora and fauna. And in the middle of everything was the warm scent that was distinctly lion and young at that, not giving off the familiar pheromones that were so common of matured adults. And it doesn't seem there is any need to worry.

Ozark mused, careful to keep a safe distance from the young one in the area. He certainly didn't want to startle the poor thing, though the child didn't seem the least bit worried about the potential threat of lurking danger. Are you all alone out here, little one?
