 Nanashi was walking through the forest with his buddy Jake. Recently they had met this beautiful Phim, Ash, who was the most lovely shade of greens. He had become deeply enamored of the vixen and was desperate to see her again.
The only problem was that his friend was equally interest in the Phim. Which presented them with the current problem, they had invited Ash to come visit their forest in hopes that the vixen would fall in love with one of them.

 Jake sighed as he looked over at his friend. This was going to be rather difficult. How could he fall for a female that his friend liked too? In truth he wanted to say that he liked her first but that wouldn't be fare considering he was never sure when Nanashi started liking her. He looked away as he walked next to him. He hated to say he was jealous but he was. Unlike him Nanashis coat was allot better looking then his. It was way more colorful and better looking.
Thinking about it he found himself looking down at his own coat in despair. His was nothing like Nanashis... Nanashi also seemed to have a way with the girls as well. He wouldn't be surprised if Ash already liked him. Maybe she did and he was just the odd man out. He never was good at talking with girls. He would often get tongue tied or stutter especially around beautiful vixens... and Ash happened to be the most beautiful Phim he had ever seen.
The only thing he could do now was just hope he even had a chance and try not to screw things up. He had to try to keep a level head and be sure not to say anything embarrassing, stupid, stutter, tongue tied... well hell... his ears fell. The list just keeps going...

 Ash descended from the sky briskly, her recently injured wing healed completely thanks to a vixen she had met several days ago. The red-eyed vixen touched the ground with grace, flicking her tail with a sweep to clear the thorns she had almost landed in. The 'Phim was here to meet her two new friends, Jake and Nanashi.
Now, if one had told her about their affections she would have laughed and dismissed the idea, merely because she couldn't see why someone would desire her affections so much. She was content believing Glacie, her best friend, was the one that got the most attention, and content knowing she was the side-kick. So, when two males suddenly became interested in her she pushed it off as a friendly interest. How wrong she was.
Two blue males were walking through the forest. Nanashi and Jake! She smiled pleasantly, approaching the two and folding her wings. When she was sure they could hear her she settled onto her haunches, tail wagging.
"Hello, boys~"

He looked over at Jake, and was going to say something but before he could he heard the most lyrical voice, beautiful and soft. "Ash!" He whirled around and smiled at her. "You made it..." He nudged Jake in the shoulder. Although their last meeting had been quite flirty, he knew Jake could get uncommonly nervous around vixen's that he really liked. He really felt sorry for his friend, considering that Nanashi had been born with a silver tongue. He didn't get nervous or shy.
"Say hi." he whispered to his friend, "And try to smile at her."

Jake stopped dead in his tracks as the voice belonging to the beautiful Ash hit him. He knew it was hers right away... Her sounded like heaven. Oh how he wanted so much to tell her that... but his nerves got the best of him. He slowly turned around and locked eyes with the beautiful female. Of course when he spotted her everything in his head of what he was going to say vanished. It was completely empty. He had to admit if it wasn't for Nanashi mumbling something to him he might have just stood their like a statue.
"H... Hi..." He blushed as he put on his best smile for her.

Ash smiled at the two males once more, shaking her head and letting out a laugh. "Of course I did, silly~" She glanced at Jake when he stuttered, tilting her head. Was he alright? Was he sick? In fact, both males were looking at her oddly. Oh dear. She smiled still, happy to see the silly males once more. She extended her previously injured wing, head tilting once more, hair falling in her face.
"My wing finally healed." She chimed out, folding her wing once more and fixing her hair, tail wagging. "What have you two been up to, lately?"

"Good....I was worried about your wing..." He smiled, "Well I joined a tribe...I don't think you knew that....Kemet....I met a bunch of nice phims there...You wouldn't believe it...So many in one place...." He grinned, "I like it there a lot." He walked over to her, nudging Jake to follow.
He stood on the right side of Ash, giving his friend a look of disbelief. Oh god....it's started already....He sighed.

Jake followed in step with Nanashi. He was glad to hear that her wing was doing good. He waled over and looked at her wing. "I'm glad to see that your wing healed..." He smiled at it. "I was... worried that you wouldn't be able to fly again... that would have been sad." He blushed lightly. "I haven't really done much... just kinda wondering around." he looked at Nanashi. "Yeah he joined a tribe. I haven't really seen where it is but he comes down to visit."

"A tribe?" She asked, smiling at the males, noticing how worried they were for her wing and laughing. "Oh, it will be fine. Thank you for the worry, I guess being unable to fly would be sad... but Glacie can do it without problem, I guess it wouldn't be too bad." She smiled at the males once more, noticing how odd Jake was acting and nudging him with her nose, tail flicking back and forth with a tiny smile on her face.
"Well boys, tell me, have you found someone pretty to call your own?" She asked, tilting her head, long hair falling into her eyes.

"Well....as a matter of fact..." Since Ash seemed to be completely oblivious to her charms, Nanashi took it upon himself to show her just how attractive she really was. "There is this....mint colored maiden that had caught my eye..." He leaned in and licked her cheek affectionately.
"She is so beautiful.....sexy...and funny....though she can be completely oblivious to most things."

He blushed as Ash nudged him with her nose.
"Mm..."
He really didn't know what to tell her. He most defiantly didn't want to tell her that he had spent most of his winter and spring alone by himself... that would just show how pathetic he was. Of course as soon as Nanashi opened his mouth he couldn't help but looked at him surprised that he openly hit on her like that.
"Mm... great..." he mumbled. "I didn't do much... just me... alone... no one what so ever..." He looked away not wanting to watch the two.

Ash flushed a bright pink as Nanashi spoke, eyes widening in surprise. She was dumb-founded for a second, laughing nervously after both males had spoken, looking at the ground as her tail wrapped around her thin frame. "I-Is that so...." She stuttered.
Had Nanashi just called her beautiful and sexy? She had no idea how to respond to that, no idea what to even think after such words. She was going to die right here and there in embarrassment. She looked at Jake, and then Nanashi, realizing that it was her turn to speak and fluttering her wings nervously, the fluff of her tail covering half of her lower face.
"Ah well... uhm... s-so are you two hungry?"

He chuckled as he watched her face heat up, "Yes...that is so..." he smiled at her and gauged her reaction closely, "Hm...." He couldn't help it, she was so cute now that she finally understood the depths of his emotions.
"I suppose I could eat....But....Don't think that you can dodge this conversation ash..." He shook a paw at her, smirking widely. "I'm not the only male after your heart afterall."

Jake stood and watched her reaction. She couldn't really fall for someone so corny as Nanashi could she? No affiance to him of course. He was relieved though when she seemed nervous about the whole situation. Maybe that would give him a chance at trying to tell her how he felt. That was until Nanashi blurted out about another male. He comically glared at him and tried to gesture for him not to tell her. He wanted to tell her himself but when he saw him about to open his mouth he tackled him and placed a paw over his mouth.
"Ah ha... hungry!" He smiled at her. "Yes, Im starved what about you?" He got off the male then walked to Ash and began to usher her away from the scene.

Ash blushed further as Nanashi spoke, ears flicking as the blush grew. She shook her head, laughing nervously. "A-ah, well, I... I'm sure your mistaken. I mean, why would... aha. Yes yes, I'm hungry, shall we go hunt?" She had dodged the question by answering Jake's, offering him a smile that clearly expressed her thanks. She allowed herself to be ushered away, tail wagging side to side as her nerves slowly calmed themselves.
