Saiorse lifted her head to the sky. The night was cool and welcoming, even as the lioness herself was seething. Her blood still boiled, heart still raced. How could he? That low lieing dirt--to throw her away like she was little more than a gnawed bone. She had apparently done her service and he had decided she was of no more use. Betrothed since cubhood. He had bee nher ife from her first breath, only for him to show up with some tramp. Her lips curled in a snarl at the thought. Blood still welled from the gashes along her shoulders. They would heal and scar with time, but not the ones she had given to him. His would take time. He would live, but the b*****d would be a cripple for the rest of his life.
As he should be for what he had done. The grass swept at her sides as the lioness kept her pace. She moved like water over the land, shoulders rolling with each step. In some manner she wished for the exertion to take her away from her lifelong home, and pull the anger from her heart. In another, she hoped that she could tear the place apart, just as she had done to him, and let the heat in her heart boil until it over flowed, and consumed the world around her. All in all, Saiorse was far from a happy individual.
Rags had been watching the whole thing for a while; searching out for recruitment's for her king and his slowly growing kingdom. He had come to her and asked her specifically. To find an heir for him. Someone worthy of their pride. Worthy of him. That he would be proud to call his own. The fact that he had come to HER and asked HER alone to complete this task filled Rags with a swell of pride. She would do it to the best of her abilities. She would find a cub and spirit him or her away; teach them that there was no one else but their pride. That they would be loved and cared for.
That there was nothing more amazing in life then to be a goblin; and how filled with pride they should be. Or maybe she would even tell them that they were a long lost heir to the throne~ who knows. But while she'd been out searching for a cub to take in; she'd stumbled on an interesting scene. A male rutting with another female; and what appeared to be his mate coming in and finding him. She'd stuck around of course to hear what had happened. Why wouldn't she? It was delicious the chaos that she'd caused. The screams of pain from the male~ The vengeance she'd gotten. And most deliciously of all the pain she'd caused. She smiled and watched the female walk away; well hidden with her odd fur. She followed after her silently. She might have just found a new member of their pride. The lost and the lonely~ That's underground.
Saiorse paused, her sides heaving. How many hours had it been? How long and how far had she traveled? Her muscles ached, and now the wounds began to scream. The lioness let out an anguished roar as her paws faultered beneath her and she crashed to the ground. Her snarl turned to a pained grimace, and for a long moment she simply lay there. What use was there? What was she now? All of her life, she had been made up to be a bride, a lioness to run a den, and take care of all of her mate's needs. When she should have bit her lip, and stayed quiet, she had roared in his face. When she should have taken the hit, she lashed out. A grim smile took her expression. As much as she shouldn't have been, she was proud of 6:47 PM
that. The lioness was unendingly satisfied with how his blood had pooled, and how his threats and growls had gone quiet. All of her upbringing said she should be horrified. So.. Why now was she so pleased with herself?
Ragdoll had kept a safe distance; and when the lioness seemed to be slowing down; Rags had gone off on her own to find something to hunt and kill. She was starting to get hungry after all and when a goblin wanted something to eat well then that was what they ddid. They ate. She'd been lucky; and had found something offhandedly. A boar. It had been surprisingly easy to catch and kill before it made too much noise; and it was far enough away from her other 'prey' to not give herself away to it. She smiled as she ripped through the boars flesh and dug out all the pieces that she wouldn't need to eat to make it lighter.
She took a few large chunks and ate them quickly; getting all of what it was that she wanted before grabbing it in a way that would allow her to carry it over her shoulders and took off towards where the lioness had gone off and smiled as she saw her just lying there on the ground. She dropped the boar and looked down at her as if with a slight anger or disgust. "What a stupid thing you are~ lying in the middle of the Savannah~ acting half dead.”
Saiorse could not suppress the jump as she started at the lioness's voice. A snarl rippled over her face as she pulled herself to her feet. "Watch your tongue, old woman." Her tail lashed as she pushed herself forward. What a stupid old crone. Who was she to so much as speak to her? How was this her business in the least? A small voice whispered in the back of her mind.. Perhaps she should give the old crone a taste of what she had dished out to that male.. With a growl, Saiorse dismissed the thought. The lioness might be old and careless with her words, but she wasn't worth the time it would take.
Rags just started to laugh when she called her old. This girl was quite obviously delirious. It was the lack of blood to her brain. She sniffed her over and raised an eyebrow. Well that was interesting. "Are you honestly going to threaten me with a growl~ how entertaining." She said with a slight chortle. "Why don't you calm down and rest while you're leaking so much blood. And eat some of that boar~" She purred to her sweetly.
The lioness's growl punctuated itself with a drop in tone, swinging dangerously low, but softened in volume as the offer of meat was made. She eyed the lioness, then the boar, all the while wondering what brand of daft this lioness was. "...You change like the tides, old woman. First you say I'm stupid, and then you invite me to dine." She looked sidelong at the patched lioness, eyes suspecting and narrow, but it wasn't long before she decided that a meal was in fact a good idea. The blood of the meat seemed to send waves through the lioness, restoring some of the energy she had lost between her wandering and her crippling of the male. She was still unsure about this.. New Creature. She was unlike any that Saiorse had encountered so far in her short life.. Put.. Perhaps.. Perhaps thing might just work out…
