User ImageName: Oscar Thwaite

Nickname: Oz, T

Age: 17 18 19 20 21

Birthday: 21st April

Sign: Taurus

Gemstone: Diamond

Blood Type: O-

Fav. Food: Pizzas with 'The Lot', anything greasy or deep fried, though he'll eat practically anything, the kid has an appetite!

Hated Food: Green Vegetables. Specifically brussel sprouts, beans, peas and broccoli.

School: Hillworth Grammar School

Hobbies:

Sport: Oscar is heavily into sport, his main favorites consisting of basketball, football and baseball. He plays all three (when they're in season) for his school, and wouldn't be adverse to trying other sports out. He's also in the know of a lot of sporting info. Think of him as a Sports!wiki, knowing win/loss records, game margins and player stats (even some heights and weights). If it's relative to sports of a player, chances are he's got the info. Oscar also likes to watch highlight reels on youtube. He has a soft spot for injury clips. Sports is just something that comes naturally to him, like some are with singing, or maths, or drawing, Oscar is like that with sports.

Working Out: Oscar loves to keep in shape. He spends a fair chunk of his spare time in the gym, working out, or jogging. A guy's got to look good right?

Girls: Oscar likes girls. A lot. He'll often be distracted in conversation if a pretty girl walks by, and he will almost always feel the need to hit on any piece of good looking a**. He finds it hard to have a girlfriend, just because there are so many options out there. He also collects certain 'sporty' magazines.

Console Games: Oscar is an avid videogame player. Whilst not highly skilled in any particular genre, he can pretty much adapt to any game and can give most people a run for their money. Forget Nintendo, he's a hardcore Xbox/Playstation fan. If given the choice, he would much rather play a shooter than an RPG, especially if there are others around to play.

Parties: Oscar loves to party. If there's going to be a party he'll be there. Don't worry, he brings his own drinks.

User Image

Virtues:

Charismatic: Oscar is a charmer, and uses both his looks and word to his advantage. Whether it be winning a new friend or girlfriend over, or trying to make something go his way. Whilst he’s easy on the eyes, Oscar also uses a lot of flattery in his day to day life. ‘You look good in that dress,’ and ‘hey man, that’s a killer jacket’ are just some of the things he’ll say. Of course that doesn’t mean everyone will fall for his charms, some might think he’s a total douche, but most of the time Oscar will try to win someone over with his charisma. Flattery comes easy to him; he has no trouble working out what to say to someone that might soften them up. This also has helped him in the ladies department, many girls have fallen for the Oscar charm, and perhaps many more will.

Independent: If Oscar learnt anything from his parents it was how to be independent, but not independent in a loner sort of way, more independent in a ‘does things himself’ way. Never really bothering to do anything for their son forced Oscar to learn things by himself, this led to him becoming very independent at an early age. Oscar is happy to go it alone and do things by himself, not wanting to involve others when he feels he’s perfectly capable of achieving something on his own.

Trying: ‘If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again’ is one of Oscars main mottos in life. He’ll give one hundred and ten percent to anything he’s interested in, as long as Oscar is keen. He’ll give it his all, and if something doesn’t go right the first time, he’ll brush himself off and try again. Of course he won’t always succeed, but as long as Oscar feels he’s given something a good go then that’s fine with him. He’s also been known to try and help someone else, if they need a hand and Oscar feels it’s something he knows about and is interested in, he’d offer his services. If he’s in a battle, Oscar will stop at nothing to try and win. If he’s in a game of soccer, you can bet he’ll do everything he can to try and make his team come out on top. If a pretty girl is having trouble with her car, Oscar will be there, trying to help, even if he’s only interested in getting her number.

Outgoing: Oscar is the complete opposite of shy and a total people person. In class he won’t hesitate when he’s singled out by a teacher, during a game he’s not afraid to tell a team mate they’re doing something wrong. He’s happy to converse with someone who might approach him on the street and doesn't have a problem with small talk. He loves to go to things where there are lots of people around, like parties, clubs and festivals, and he’s not really one to shy from the spotlight. Oscar also knows how to have fun, and has no problem getting a party started. This means he has no hesitations about talking with someone, and this can make Oscar seem very approachable.

Flaws:

Bitter: Oscar can also be quite bitter. If he feels like you've done something to make him look bad, or wronged him in some sort of way, then he can act very bitter towards people. Things that can make him bitter towards you being a d**k, showing him up, changing the outcome of something he feels should go a different way. Oscar tends to think things should go his way, so if they don't and he can blame you, then he's going to be cold towards you in the future. He'll try to ignore them, or give them very few words. He'll scowl at you, letting you know how he feels. He also wont let up on his grudge so easily, and it could take some time before he treats you normal again, if ever.

Stubborn: Oscar is incredibly stubborn, and is reluctant to relent in most situations. If he’s taken one side in an argument, he won’t budge on his opinions. If his schoolwork is taking him a long time, or if there’s something he doesn’t understand, he probably won’t accept your offer of help. If he’s made a bad choice, he’ll stick with it, trying to prove he can do something, even if the chances are he won’t be able to. Whilst his stubbornness can be dismissed at times, there are others when simply letting go would do wonders. But his need to be independent would overpower what he feels would be the right choice, and so would continue to hold fast to his own opinions, actions and ideals. If Oscar does ever let up on his stubbornness for a time, it would be so begrudgingly, and he wouldn’t be completely comfortable in withdrawing. This stubbornness can make it difficult to work with other people, fighting the Negaverse, or with just simple, day to day things.

Annoying: Oscar likes to think he’s cool and an approachable individual, but to some people, Oscar can come across as annoying and a bit of a jerk. His continual flattery can become irritating to some people, to the point where others might think he's insincere or fake. Oscar can’t see that his personality might be unbearable for some, and wouldn’t see the fault in himself if something went wrong due to his traits. He'd find it hard to imagine people wouldn’t like his qualities.

Lack of Interest: Oscar can come off as being very lazy in some aspects of his life, in reality, he only really gives any attention to the things he’s really interested in, and could care less about the things he’s not. He can often be found at the back of the class, dazing off when the teaching is lecturing about The Most Boring Subject On Earth. More often than not, he wishes he could be doing something he likes, and really can’t be bothered with anything else. He’d much rather be playing games on his Xbox, working out at the gym, kicking a soccer ball around, talking with his friends or chatting up a girl than doing homework or sitting in school in front of a blackboard. This also goes for people, if Oscar isn’t doesn’t find you interesting, then chances are he wont be talking to you for long. If the conversation drifts to a discussion of history or architecture or something else he finds dull, then he’ll try to swing the direction of the talk back towards something he likes, or just leave the conversation all together.

User ImageSenshi: Sailor Janus, Senshi of Locks.

Challenge: "This is a lockdown"

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Leg-lock
This attack binds the legs of the opponent together. This prevents the opponent for using their legs in a normal fashion. If they wanted they could still hop around, however their movement/agility/evasiveness would be seriously hampered. Oscar uses this attack by saying "Leg-lock" whilst thrusting his palms out whilst lunging in the direction of the opponent. This cause a ghostly paddlock to shoot out in the direction of the opponent. If the paddlock collides with the opponent the above effects ensue. If the attack misses, the paddlock dissipates and Janus must wait one turn before being able to use the move again. This attack can be used 2 times per battle and lasts up to 15 seconds.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Limb-lock
An expansion of the Leg-lock attack, Limb-lock fully binds the arms and the legs of the apponent to their body. Think Petrificus Totallis, but still maintaining full use of your head. They can still, like before, hop around, however the have lost any arm movement as well. This attack pretty much leaves the opponent vulnerable to attack. Like the Leg-lock attack, Janus says the word with palms outstretched in the direction of the opponent. A larger ghostly padlock appears and shoots in the direction of the opponent. If it hits the above effects ensue, if it misses, Janus must wait one turn before he can attack again. Because the ghostly padlock is larger than the previous attack, this attack has higher accuracy, and can be used 3 times per battle, with the effects lasting for 10 seconds.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Status-Lock
Unlike the previous attacks, Status-lock doesn't not affect the movement of the opponent. Instead it 'locks down' the powers of the opponent in their current state, keeping then in their negaverse/sailor/whatever state, but unable to use any of their abilities that come with being powered up. Like before, Janus says the word with palms outstretched in the direction of the opponent, a large, red, transparent lock would appear and shoot towards the opponent. On contact the effects of the attack would be invoked, also, to show that the opponent is under the influence of the eternal attack, they would exhibit a red glow/aura around their body. This attack can be used once per battle, and lasts for 25 seconds.

Oscar's parents met when they were both still in high school, and at 16 years of age, Calliope found herself pregnant with 17 year old Jackson's child just 6 months into their relationship. Convinced they were in love and it was the right thing to do, they both dropped out of school to care for their unborn child. Both their families found their decision to keep the baby and drop out of school so disgusting, they both abandoned their children. Oscar was soon born and the couple seemed happy, a year later they were married and everything seemed fine, but soon, problems started to make their way into the happy family. With their lack of education, both parents found it hard to get much work. His father grew to see him as more of a burden than anything else and so cared less and less for his son as he grew. His mother, fearful of abandonment from her one true love, tried whatever she could to please her husband, adopting the same attitude towards their child. With neither parent really caring about him, Oscar was left to bring himself up. He soon began acting out, causing small incidences with the police in the hopes his parents would take more notice of him, but his actions were fruitless, and as time wore on, he decided to not bother with his parents anymore and concentrate on himself. With some minor misdemeanors under his belt, it wasn't long before an offer to attend Hillworth Grammar arose, and Oscar, noticing it was a boarding school, was quick to pack his things and move into the Halls on an athletic scholarship, leaving behind his parents, and not wanting anything to do with them anymore.

Jackson Thwaite: Older than his wife by one year, he truly believed that dropping out of school to raise his child with his partner was the right thing to do, at the time. With the abandonment of both their parents, as well as the difficulties of obtaining a job thanks to his lack of education, Jackson began to put the blame onto his son, resenting him for what his life had become. His feelings to his wife did not alter, still believing that they're truly meant to be together. The struggle with jobs lead to struggles with money, and more inner turmoil for Jackson, looking for some kind of salvation, he turned to alcohol, and even dabbled in drugs, anything to get his mind off of his derailed life.

Calliope Thwaite (nee. Anders): There were big red hearts in the eyes of Calliope when she first met Jackson, and there have been ever since. Believing her husband to be a wonderful man, she's gone on with his every idea and wish, not once thinking for herself. When times got tough and Jackson began to slide, Calliope became scared that her soul mate would leave her and so, would do anything to please him, even adopting the same attitude he had towards their son.

Oscar's views and relationships towards his parents are the same, that they aren't worth his time, and that he is glad that they're out of his life and (hopefully) he wont have anything to do with them again. His upbringing has made him more than capable of looking after himself, and found that leaving his home for Hillworth Grammer was the last thing tying to the rotting life of his parents.

User ImageJanus is an inner satellite of Saturn. It is also known as Saturn X (Roman numeral X = 10). It is named after the mythological Janus.

Discovery and orbit
Janus occupies practically the same orbit as the moon Epimetheus. This caused some confusion for astronomers, who assumed that there was only one body in that orbit, and for a long time struggled to figure out what was going on. It was eventually realized that they were trying to reconcile observations of two distinct objects as a single object.

The discovery of Janus is attributed to its first observer: Audouin Dollfus, on December 15, 1966. The new object was given the temporary designation S/1966 S 2. Previously, Jean Texereau had photographed Janus on October 29, 1966 without realising it; Dollfus named it at the same occasion. On December 18, Richard Walker made a similar observation which is now credited as the discovery of Epimetheus.

Twelve years later, in October 1978, Stephen M. Larson and John W. Fountain realised that the 1966 observations were best explained by two distinct objects (Janus and Epimetheus) sharing very similar orbits. Voyager 1 confirmed this in 1980.

Janus was observed on subsequent occasions and given different provisional designations. It was observed by the Pioneer 11 probe when it passed near Saturn on September 1, 1979: three energetic particle detectors observed its "shadow," Janus was observed by Dan Pascu on February 19, 1980 and then by John W. Fountain, Stephen M. Larson, Harold J. Reitsema and Bradford A. Smith on the 23rd.

All of these people thus share, to various degrees, the title of discoverer of Janus.

Name
Janus is named after Janus, the two-faced Roman god. Although the name was informally proposed soon after the initial 1966 discovery, it was not officially given this name until 1983. Epimetheus received its name at the same time.

According to the OED, the adjectival form of the moon's name is Janian.

Physical characteristics
Janus is extensively cratered with several craters larger than 30 km but few linear features. The Janian surface appears to be older than Prometheus' but younger than Pandora's. From its very low density and relatively high albedo, it seems likely that Janus is a very porous and icy rubble pile.

Ring
A faint dust ring is present around the region occupied by the orbits of Janus and Epimetheus, as revealed by images taken in forward-scattered light by the Cassini spacecraft in 2006. The ring has a radial extent of about 5000 km. Its source is particles blasted off the moons' surfaces by meteoroid impacts, which then form a diffuse ring around their orbital paths.

Thanks to Wikipedia for the information on Janus, the moon.

Upgrade to Super Sailor

Five Battles

Eight Regular

Eight Solo

Battle. A battle story is where two powered-up individuals (senshi or Negaverse) enter into battle, whether it be between themselves or a monster who will be played by the roleplaying team. These stories need to have a definite beginning and end -- you actually have to finish these suckers, not just let them dwindle off into a ??? ending. That's why it's better to plan out how it goes between every participant beforehand. These are the stories in which fighting happens, and a youma's dusted! Or someone else gets dusted! Dust happens.

PLEASE INFORM THE ROLEPLAYING TEAM/THE MULE IF YOU NEED A YOUMA, AND WE WILL PLAY ONE FOR YOU. (IF YOU ARE WILLING TO PLAY THE YOUMA FOR SOMEONE'S STORY, WITH ACCEPTANCE FROM THE RP TEAM, YOU WILL GAIN ITEMS)

Regular. Although you can be in your senshi form, a big battle (three or more) does not happen. A small battle between two contenders can, but it needs three or up to become a battle story. This is also where normal RP between two or more people happen. This is your day-to-day life or your senshi patrolling.

Solo. This is a solo story with just your character. It can either happen diary-style or a "slice of life" story. Solo stories must be at least 450 words.

You cannot swap down battle stories (as in, you can exchange battle stories for other things, but you can't exchange other stories to count as your battle tally). You can also exchange regular and solo stories as part of your tally. Three solo stories count for one regular. One battle story counts for three regular or three solo (not six solo, sorry!).
