My music taste has changed, or gotten way better, over the past year and a half. I went from liking some really horrible bands to liking good bands(Good in terms of actual material, not just good as in they sound good'). I still obviously like some of the bands, more so the better of the bunch, but I'd like to push myself to liking better music lol. So, I'm going to force myself to delete some of the artists/songs that are so shitty and dont' deserve to be liked.

So, this is where you come in, suggest what I need to replace. I like two main groups of music; techno and metal. I like sub-groups to each, but those are the main groups. I can't stand screamo, j-rock/pop, and s**t like that.

Things to base suggestions off(don't give me random a** songs, for ******** sake lol) ((These are basically rthe bands I like))
Metal/etc
Demon Hunter
Dream Theater
Edguy(Not their songs like 'Aren't you a little pervert too' or whatever, that was complete s**t)
Avantasia
Kamelot
Apocalyptica(Their instrumentals)
Dragonland
Nightwish(Some, I've only heard like.. four songs lol)
Stravaganzza(I've only heard two songs, but I like the two songs. But it's not in English.. I have no idea which language.)
Opeth(Not so much their grunting songs lol. God, I heard Master's Apprentice and it was horrible to me compared to their softer songs)

Techno
Itamobrothers
DJ Mangoo

That's it lol. I don't like techno that's just an artist redoing another song like that casiandra s**t or whatever. I like lyrics, but I also like songs without lyrics.

Okay, suggest now. blaugh

Well I'm a big...well...HUGE music junkie XD
So here is what I suggest:

Bullet for my Valentine : their 2010 album called Fever. Their earlier work was more kinda screamo, but I think they did a good job on this one, and its not so much screamo.

Junkie XL: Booming Back at You

Basshunter: I like most of his music, but he is from Sweden so there are a few songs that are not in English.

Scooter. His music overall is pretty good. There are a few weird songs in there though.

Tiesto: I know you said you didn't really care for people that sat there and remixed stuff, but hes got some pretty good original songs. I'd say he's worth checking out.

You are the apple...

Let's see here...I'm just gonna go through my WMP and iTunes, so there's gonna be a lot of well known and not so well known groups...

Rock/Metal and its subgenres:
August Burns Red
Texas In July
Breaking Benjamin
Brian "Head" Welch
Haste The Day
Write This Down
At The Drive-In
The Devil Wears Prada
Drowning Pool
Project 86
Rob Zombie

Electronica (mainly techno, trance, and dubstep):
Daft Punk
Art of Trance
Skrillex
Chrispy
Dirtyphonics
Liquid Stranger
Nightcore (The original Nightcore, not all those crap "remixes" people make)
Skism

There's also a Japanese band called Blood Stained Child who have a really decent mix of techno/metal in all their songs.

and I am your core.

To be completely honest brah, considering the kinds of stuff that OP posted regarding her tastes in Metal, you may be hard-pressed to impress her with any of the bands you posted. I don't listen to Demon Hunter, nor do I care to, but I can certainly say that none of the bands you mentioned sound anything like Edguy, Avantasia, Kamelot, Dragonland or Opeth.

Demon Hunter and Opeth are the only two metal bands listed that i have listened to, and i really dont have anything else that sounds like Opeth so i just went off Demon Hunter.

I've listened to many of those bands, and they suck imo, sorry. From what I think, none are like Demon hunter, which is who you based it off lol.
I do occasionally listen to Breaking Benjamin, though.. Rarely though lol.

I would share more like Riverside, but unfortunately there aren't many bands that sound quite like them. I'll be sure to let you know if I find any, though.
