The first thing Ren noticed when he woke up was that this was not his room.
The second thing was that the sun was way too bright.
Blinking blearily, Ren reached a hand up, rubbing his eyes and letting out a yawn, burying his face into the pillow he was laying on. Despite realizing instantly that he was, in fact, not in his own bed (he knew each of his pillows too well to think he was there), the bed (or whatever it was that he was laying on) was rather comfortable.
Actually a lot comfortable. Ren closed his eyes again, breathing in deeply. It was warm too, and soft and he let himself drift back to sleep for a little bit, relaxing.
It was only after about another twenty to thirty minutes that it him that he should probably be very concerned about the fact that he was not in his own room.
With a low grunt, Ren sat up, a wave of dizziness hitting his skull almost instantly. Pressing a hand to his forehead he let out a string of mumbled curses, all of which were muffled by his arm as he reached his other hand up to push back some of the hair from his eyes.
Where am I?
Ren did not recognize the room. It was decent sized, around the same as his own, but - pink. And, uh. Girly.
What in Jack's name happened last ni - oh.
Truth or Dare. That was what had happened last night. And after Truth or dare...Ren scrunched up his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose as he attempted to figure out just what had happened afterwards (the cider was strong, okay). He and LW had left together to go back to their rooms, except he had been too tired and lazy to make it that far, so he had crashed...in...her...room.
He looked sideways. Sure enough, there was another figure a few feet away from him, red hair spilled out across the pillows. LW was sleeping soundly, curled up on a pile of pillows.
Ren looked down, panicking slightly for a brief moment until he realized that he was, in fact, still fully clothed and the haze of sleep and alcohol was wearing off, making him remember that he had, in fact, just passed out on LW's bed (well...pile of pillows) and slept like the dead.
This memory made him much more relaxed and Ren leaned over LW, prodding her side.
"Hey," he said. "Wake up."

She was having a pleasant dream. Running through the woods chasing...some unknown thing. This made the chase exciting! The feel of the forest floor meeting her paws was cool and relaxing. Oh how she loved to run in this form! It was nice and dark and...
Wait, now it was lighter. Annoyingly lighter. She buried her head into her pillow and curled up a little more. Why did the sun have to ruin such a nice dream?
Tail always flicking a little, like a cats might, LW was oblivious to anything being off about her room. Well...mostly oblivious. There was something that struck her as very odd and off. She had yet to hear the sounds of her demon cat and batling having another spat. There was no hissing or screeching. It was quiet and peaceful.
Too quiet and peaceful. But she was comfy, jackdamnit! The she-wolf did not want to move. And might have felt the beginnings of a headache. Why did she have a headache? What had she done that might have...ooooh. Last night. The party. Thing. What the Jack- Truth or Dare! Yes, that was it! And maybe too much cider. What did she remember about last night?
She thought she heard a sound, but it was probably just Austin (her hazmutt) curling up on his other side. A few minutes later and there was a prodding at her side. Nothing of this was unusual to her and she grumbled something like, "stupid..minipets.." before curling up even more.
Then...someone spoke. Her minipets couldn't speak. What...what the jacking hell? The she-wolf...might have overreacted just a tiny bit. Her eyes snapped open and she did the first instinctual thing she thought of. Sent a fist towards the speaker, hoping to get a good hit in. If she her brain had been less sleep fogged and she hadn't been recovering from drinking the night before, she would have recognized the gryphons scent.

It was, perhaps, a very good thing Ren had good reflexes. Despite his laziness and his tendency to fall asleep whenever and wherever he felt like it, he was still a gryphon. They were powerful creatures, fast and strong, and Ren had been raised well by his parents, taught to defend himself and to keep himself in shape. Of course, he had negated all of this by being pathetically lazy - a fact which had his mother and father sighing in exasperation more often than not - and by the mere fact that he just didn't care in the slightest.
Either way, it was his quickness as a gryphon that allowed Ren to veer sharply to the left to avoid LW's fist, his own hand shooting out to curl his fingers tightly around her slender wrist. The werewolf probably had no idea what she was doing, since she still seemed half asleep, but she had swung pretty hard. If he had not managed to duck away at the last second, Ren might have been the recipient of quite the shiner.
Also it was early. Way too early. One glance at the clock had Ren wondering just how in JACK'S name had he woken up this early?! And that it was way too bright to be this early. The early morning sun was painful to look at, and Ren resisted the urge to roll back over and go to sleep. It was giving him a headache.
Either that, or it was just the remainders of the cider from last nights' goings on.
"Oy," he said, hand on his hip as he leaned over LW, blinking. "That wasn't very nice, Miss Wolf. Here I am, trying to make sure you're still alive, and you try to beat me up?" He clicked his tongue. "That's not very sportsmanlike, don't you think?"

Her tail thumped...slowly. Was she dreaming right now? Or...was that really Ren holding her wrist tightly. It sure felt like he was really holding it. But why would he be in here? Her cheeks lit up a little and she preformed a similar omfg moment by looking over the both of them. Still clothed. A mental sigh resounded before everything finally started to work a little better. And then her cheeks lit up even more.
If...if that really was Ren..."OHCANDLEJACKIAMSOSORRY!" She said rapidly. Geez, here he was trying to be a nice gentleboil and she was swinging at him. Yep. Those cheeks matched her hair and tail at this point. "I am so sorry, Ren! I-I didn't hit you...did I?" With a soft groan at having actually swung at her friend, jackdamnit!, LW flopped back down, twisting so she was on her back and looking up. "Alive physically, but not mentally." She muttered. What time was it anyway? It felt too early after such a crazy night.
Crazy night. Wait, why was the gryphon in her room? Not that she cared in the slightest. To a werewolf, there was nothing unusual about having other people sleep in the same room as them. Still blinking up at him, the silence of her room once again nagged at her. Where the hell were her minipets? They should have been making quite the fuss right about now. The she-wolf frowned and slowly sat up, leaning against Ren's legs as she slowly scanned her room. The big pillow she'd had her head on twitched a little and a blue paw stuck out. Ah, there was Austin. Sleeping soundly like always. But...where were her two trouble makers...oh. She spotted a tail and a wing hanging out of a partially opened dresser drawer. On top of said dresser, lazy yellow eyes watched Ren, apparently still trying to figure out why their lady master had someone else besides them sleeping in here.
Yawning and stretching, she looked up towards Ren. "Why...what is the last thing you remember about last night?" All she remembered was drinking some more cider...and running from something. Whatever the something was, it sent shivers down her spine. "And what the Jack time is it?" This asked while she rubbed at her eyes. Wasn't there usually a curtain or something covering that damned window?

"Nahhh, you didn't hit me," Ren said, releasing LW's wrist. He flopped down next to her, fingers linked behind his head as he settled down into the pillows. He had to hand it to the werewolf; having an enormous pile of them made for an extremely comfortable bed. He made a mental note to spend more time in this particular room. "You almost did, though - good thing I'm faster than you."
Giving her a wink, he let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair as he tried to recall the events of the night previous. "Ah...." he said, his brows drawing together in concentration. He tapped his chin. "I remember the game - obviously. Some cider - ow - and some kissing, somebody kissing someone else's beh - oh, that was Natalia, wasn't it - and then..."
Ren paused, a shiver of disgust coursing through him. "And then that woman came and we all ditched. Nat went back to her room, and I didn't feel like going up one more floor to mine, so you said I could crash here."
He turned his head to look at her, a small smirk playing at the corners of his lips. "And of course I remember you and Miss Lemur having a bit of fun yourself," he teased. "Also it's about eight. Ish."
Ren sat up reluctantly, stretching out his limbs, and a wave of dizziness nearly made him keel over. "Oy, vey," he grumbled, pressing his fingers to the sides of his head, massaging his temples. His wings flickered out briefly before curling against his back, tail switching. "Remind me to not drink that much cider ever again. Or at least, not at places like that."
Ren bent over LW, giving her a quick peck on the lips. "Get up, sleepyhead - I need to go back to my room to shower, but if you meet me there in about twenty minutes I'll take you to breakfast."

Didn't hit him, but still tried to. Oh man did she feel bad about that one. And would continue to feel bad about that one for the rest of the day. She let her hand smack against her face as she grumbled into it. LW was so very glad he apparently was faster than she was...at least when she was still groggy from sleep. Fully awake though, they might have to test that one. And then find somewhere nice to flop down and take a breather from all the running. Speaking of flopping down, she heard Ren settle back into the pillows and that made her grin. Now the gryphon new about her little pillow collection. And that they were very comfortable.
The game. She remembered the game. And the dares. Yes the kissing too. A finger traced along her lips. Oh yes. She remembered the kissing. Now the cider though...she remembered taking one- now wait, she had taken a second hit off of it right when the party was...crashed. LW shivered and curled her tail along her feet. That woman was right. And then the werewolf professor...
"I...faintly remember telling you that." LW shrugged. "For future usage, feel free to crash in here whenever you want." She smiled and then it got purely devilish when he brought up Natalia and her having fun. LW tapped a finger against his lips this time. "I wasn't the only one," she teased right back and then blinked at him. "Eight. Ish." Oh Jack! No wonder she didn't want to get up yet. Especially after being out so late last night. This was too damn early.
The she-wolf snorted and playfully tugged (gently of course) at a wing. "I'll try to remind you. No guarantees if I've had some of the same cider though. And yeah. Neither of us should be drinking that much cider...someplace like that." She stretched again and decided that unless a very good reason came up, she was not moving from her spot.
Tail flicking to and fro, the she-wolf stared up at him, smiling after the quick peck. "Not quite as good as our dear sexy werelemur." LW winked and grinned. Apparently the promise of breakfast as a good enough reason, as she sat up and swatted at the gryphon. "You're a monster after my own heart. I'll meet you in your room in about twenty then." A shower sounded nice right now as well. The questions were a.) was she going to make it into the bathroom before twenty minutes was up and b.) would it be too much to ask that her pets behave while she attempted said shower?

Ren let out an amused snort, shaking his head - which was a pretty bad move, considering it made him all the more dizzy. Letting out a few choice swear words, he said "Good to know. Your pile of pillows is very comfortable. That being said, you're free to chill at my place anytime you want. It's usually unlocked." He gave a shrug, turning to look back at LW. "It's not like there's anything exciting in there for anyone to take as it is."
Yawning widely, Ren tilted his head, a devilish smirk crossing his face as he leaned closer. "Not as good, hmmm?" he said. "Well, fine, I'll practice and then come back and show you, how's that?" Giving a shrug, he pecked her again and stood fully up, stretching his arms above his head. "After all, our dear, sexy werelemur DID offer to teach me."
Waving to the werewolf, Ren left the room, tail switching behind him. Up the staircase, down the hall, he pushed open the door to his own dorm and made his way straight to the bathroom, stripping his clothes and stepping into the shower. The hot water felt wonderful against his slightly worn body and aching head, and he stayed in there much longer than he would have normally.
I'm never drinking cider again.
Almost twenty minutes later, he stepped from the bathroom, gathering up his clothes. He stepped into a pair of jeans, attempting to search for a shirt, but apparently Rhys had had one of his "moments." The lepus had thrown all of his clothing all over the room, most of it trailing into the closet, and his other pets were flopped around. Takashiro lifted his head briefly to cast a bored glance in his direction before curling up again, snoring lightly.
"Damn lepus...Rhys!"

She giggled at the lovely choice of words he used. So the she-wolf wasn't the only one who had a headache that was annoyingly insisting on becoming worse the more awake she proceeded to become. "Yes. They are. You might as well claim a couple favorites as your own for when you feel nap time on pillows is a must. And ditto." She gestured to everything he could see in her room. "Unless someone is in dire need of a pillow...nothing worth taking." A pause. "Well, except maybe one of my minipets. But I think the thief would regret that decision very quickly."
LW stretched her arms out and refrained from letting out the low groan when she felt her shoulders pop. That had definitely felt good...and there was a gryphon leaning even closer to her. She gave him some combination of an innocent and owlish expression. "Ah, yes she did. I'll have to wait and see if she succeeds then." Winking, she waited until his cute retreating figure disappeared before flopping onto the pillow she had been sleeping on. A huff emitted from it and her hazmutt, Austin finally stirred. Shaking his head, he looked around oblivious to any one else having been in the room. LW snorted at him and flicked his gas-mask before standing.
"Be a good boy and keep those two busy while I shower?" Austin thumped his tail and LW shook her head. That didn't mean anything. Still...she really wanted a shower, damnit! So, moving with caution towards her bathroom, LW was very happy to strip out of her clothes and step under the hot sprays of water. Oh god did it make her head feel so much better!
From the dresser, yellow feline eyes gazed down at the batling that hung half in half out of one of the drawers. The demon cat slowly rolled his shoulders befor preforming the swan dive...right onto Callix. The batling shrieked and flailed causing both of them to tumble to the floor. Once there, he flapped his wings and smacked at the cat until he was released and was able to take flight. He went straight for the bathroom. His lady master was in there afterall. Lucifer bounded after him, a kitty sneer on his face. Austin just relaxed on the pillows, tail wagging.
It hadn't even been seven minutes before there was a sudden flurry of wings and LW found herself being assaulted by a very distressed batling. "What the...CALLIX! You good for nothin-" about this time, said batling realized there was unprotected cleavage. The she-wolf snarled when he proceeded to attach himself to her front. But oh no. It couldn't just be him. Lucifer came charging in, intent on plowing into the batling AND doing the same thing as Callix. LW slipped as she tried to avoid him. There was a squeak, a shriek, loud yowling laughter and a crash. Dead. They were totally dead when she got her hands on them!
By the time the she-wolf was dressed and running down the halls of the monster dorms, hair down and flowing for once, LW was running about five minutes late. She found Ren's room and after giving a soft knock, opened the door and slipped in. "Sorry to take so...long." Her gaze traveled around as her hand rubbed her side and elbow. There was a nice bruise forming in both areas. She toed at some pants near the door and shook her head. "I think we are both having rough mornings."

"Oh, yes, it's truly been a delightful and lovely morning," Ren answered LW, his voice muffled by the fact that he was half under his bed, attempting to drag out any and all clothes that Rhys had seen fit to throw in the tiny space. His fingers closed around what he thought might have been a shirt, but when he pulled it out, was actually a coat. He threw it haphazardly aside, scrounging around a bit more. "In fact, I think I'll write a book on it. It'll be called 'The Minipet Files: How Renaissance the Gryphon seriously maimed his pets after they ransacked his room."
When his search under the bed still turned up empty, Ren sat back on his heels, reaching up to run a hand through his hair. The braid was starting t fall out, most of his messy hair falling in unruly strands down his bare back, and he pushed it out of his face, turning to glance back at the werewolf.
"What happened to your arm?" he asked, gesturing to the purplish bruise he could see starting to form, just near her elbow. "Or am I not the only one who had a little incident with their minipet this morning?"
Pushing himself to his feet, Ren crossed the room, making his way towards his closet. He rummaged around in it for a few moments before realizing that it was pointless and let out a melodramatic sigh, spinning on his heels to step over to LW again.
"This is ridiculous," he groused. "It's like Rhys decided one day to wake up and just get rid of all of my shirts. I'm going to throw him out the window, next..."
The threat was mostly empty, considering that Ren - very reluctantly admitted - that he did actually like his minipets, despite their rather unusual (and irritating) tendencies, and he held no real animosity towards them. Although, right now...
"Aha!"
Ren lunged towards the dresser drawer, yanking up a piece of red clothing triumphantly. "A shirt!"
Shrugging it over his head, Ren grabbed up his wallet, tucked it into his pocket, and then stepped back over to LW, giving a dramatic sweep of his arms as he bent over in a mock bow.
"Shall we head to breakfast now, milady?"

Her gaze was still looking around in that wolf like way, since she was in new 'territory'. That and she couldn't help but feel amused by all of it. His minipets were as horrible as hers were. Although she privately felt he should feel lucky he didn't have two minipets that liked to ambush her in the jack damned shower! "I think I'd rather enjoy reading that book." LW mused, looking towards his bed and the tail she could see sticking out from under it. "Maybe I'll help too."
Whatever he'd been looking for under his bed didn't seem to come with results. Getting a good look at him, she figured it was either the minipet he wished to maim...or a shirt. "Uh...well." The she-wolf lifted her hand to rub at the back of her neck while she watched him. "Yeah. You aren't the only one." Groaning she moved her hand to rub at her face. "I was ambushed in the shower." LW muttered. "And slipped."
He headed towards his closet and she took another step or two further into his room, looking around. Alright, so a little messy thanks to the clothes strewn all over, but it was still nice. LW eyed the bed and felt her nose wrinkle up at it. Beds were nice sometimes but she preferred her pillows. More movement and his dramatic sigh had the she-wolf looking back at him with a quirky grin.
"Aww! Don't say that. You know you like them." Like she was one to talk. "Alright, alright. So...can I offer up my minipets to be thrown out the window too?" LW thought on that. "On second thought...they would just glide to the ground." Unless she tied their wings to their bodies. That had potential.
Violet eyes widened as she watched him lunge towards his dresser. Did he spot the culprit of the current state of his room? Or...nope. It was a shirt.
She reached out and ruffled his hair when he bowed as he did. "Oh at this point, as long as it is somewhere our terrors aren't, I am so game. Food is just a plus." LW grinned and turned back towards the door, making sure to get a good thump in on the gryphon with her tail.

Ren gave a derisive snort, pushing back the hair that kept falling in his face. "It would be a bestseller, I'm certain. I'd win all sorts of prizes. And then have enough moolah to get some new minipets that wouldn't wreak havoc like my current ones do."
He said this loudly, intending for Rhys to hear him, wherever the lepus was hiding. Letting out an exasperated sigh, Ren turned back to LW, arching his eyebrows a bit.
"Oh?" he said, looking at the bruises and then offering her a devilish grin. "Do you need me to kiss it better for you, then?"
Despite having only met the werewolf the night previous, Ren was already quite attached to her. LW was not only sweet and cute, but she was unbelievably fun and silly; she was just the type to be able to hang out with, to feel at ease with. Ren felt comfortable around her, and it made him relax. The night had been...interesting to say the last, that was for damn sure, but despite it's rather horrific ending, Ren had surprisingly enjoyed himself, not to mention he had made some terrific new friends - all in all he was very pleased with how things had turned out.
Reaching over, Ren slipped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her from the room and kicking the door shut behind him with his foot. Ambling down the hall, he said "So. Breakfast. Yes. Where?"

LW had raised a hand to cover her mouth in a laugh. He was having as many problems as she did with her own pets. So LW definitely sympathized. Though she did have to admit, each managing to hid all the gryphon's shirts was very impressive. Not even her own miscreants would manage that. Of course, they couldn't manage to do anything without Lucifer and Callix going after one another. Such little pains! "Best seller indeed." She muttered and glanced around as well.
Hearing his question, a similar if a little more Cheshire grin graced her lips. "Only if you plan on kissing all the spots and make them better." There actually weren't many. It was mainly her elbow and her side. Possibly her hip too but she'd been a little...busy trying to wrap her fingers around a couple skinny necks to notice.
LW had found, while making her way up here and thinking about the gryphon, that she was surprised at how much she liked being around him. It wasn't that giddy butterflies in my tummy type of feeling. More like, ohay I just found a kindred spirit and a BFF for life. She adored the gryphon like a close packmate. Hanging around him was fun and had a laid back, amusing atmosphere that the she-wolf loved. It was nice and she felt like she could really be herself around Ren and not worry (not that she really did much of this) about what he thought.
She moved an arm around his waist and tilted her head up to look at him. "What? You mean I have to use my brain to figure out where?" LW stuck her tongue out at the gryphon and her brow furrowed in thought. "How about someplace off campus?" Her gaze traveled back up. "Can't say I'm too familiar with what is off campus. But a change of scenery would be nice."

Yawning widely, Ren half leaned on LW as they walked, reaching a hand up to brush some of the unruly hair from his face.
"Yes, using your brain might help," he said, and let out a mock sigh of despair. "I know it's difficult for you, but in this case it seems inevitable that you should use it, since we both need food."
The halls of Amityville High were relatively quiet. It was still outrageously early to be awake, especially on a weekend morning, so most of the student population was right where they should be - in bed, and asleep. Ren wished he was still asleep, but more than his desire to nap was his desire to keep his headache from making his head implode, and that meant getting some sustenance and liquid into his system - and preferably not a cider-ish liquid.
Water. Yes. Water sounded good.
"I like off campus," Ren answered her, yawning again as he stuck his free hand into his pocket. "It's a little stuffy in here and I'm thinkin' the fresh air would do good for the both of us, considerin' how we both need some sort of change of scenery. Or at least I do, since I'm about to pass right back out on the floor here. Lead the way, Miss Wolf~"

Arm around his waist still, she used her fingers to lightly pinch his side. "What about you?" LW didn't really notice that he was really leaning on her. Not that she minded. Small she may be, but she was a tough little cookie. Mmm...cookies sounded good. "You have a perfectly fine brain to use yourself." She let out a dramatic sigh and almost stumbled on her own feet. Yeah. Food was a must. A little extra sleep would be nice too. And a fully functioning brain.
The she-wolf didn't know if she liked how quiet the school seemed. She wasn't usually up at this time. Not by choice anyway. Her minipets did tend to wake her up at awful hours some days. Besides, it was hard to sneak around in silent halls without making some sort of loud noise. Even footfalls sounded heavier and louder than usual. At least, this was the case for people who wore shoes.
What? she didn't like shoes. One couldn't feel the cool soil beneath their feet or the vibrations of others walking if you had shoes to block this contact with the ground. And lurking was much easier to do in a shoeless state.
"Off campus it is then." LW wrinkled her nose. "Stuffy and smells...well like usual. But still." Hey, the Monster dorm housed some interesting creatures. There was always some sort of smell. She wondered, faintly, if a gryphons nose was as sensitive as a canines? "You can't pass out! I don't want to have to carry you back to your room." Or hers. It was quicker to get to.
Giggling a little, she lead them towards the footpath that would take them out of campus grounds and towards the town. She had to admit, she did like walking right now. It helped her to wake more. But did nothing for the slow pounding behind her temples. UGH!
"Aight, we gotta make ourselves a promise here." LW leaned her head back against his arm and glanced up at Ren. "We so are not allowed to drink that much again. By the way, anything that is food sounds good at this point. Anything particular suit your gryphon fancies?"

"Why won't you carry me?" Ren asked, pushing out his lower lip in a mock pout as he looked down at LW. "I'm sure I'm not that heavy. Or I could just turn into a gryphon and then you could...wait, no, that form is huge. Scratch that."
Outside, the air was calm, a very light breeze tousling both of their hair. It was relatively cool, though warm enough to not need a jacket, and the fresh air was a welcome relief to the stuffy inside of the dorms. Ren closed his eyes briefly, inhaling deeply. He could taste the far off scent of rain on his tongue; it would probably storm later.
"Yes," Ren said, reaching up a hand to rub the back of his neck. "Yes, Jack, no more drinking that much. Ever. Except on weekends. And when we're celebrating. And no where near that Jack awful headmistress or where there are games involving stripping or kissing people's butts. Unless, of course, you want to be there," he added, somewhat as an afterthought. "And in that case, just drink less. Or not at all, so you can be lucid enough to run like all hell when the time comes."
Glancing around at the near barren campus (why was he not asleep in bed like the rest of the more intelligent population on campus?), Ren let out a wide yawn, pressing his fingers to his face to cover his mouth. "This is pathetic," he said. Then - "Or, more accurately, we're pathetic. Man, my head feels as if it's going to fall off of my shoulders at any second. If that happens, would you please make sure to pick it up? I don't want some creeper finding it and throwing it away or using it as a mantlepiece decoration or anything like that. That would just be embarrasing.
"Oh, and," Ren added, tail flicking behind him as his wings fluttered. "I'm good with anything. Well. Okay. Preferably a place where, ah...I don't have to eat...any meat...would be good."
