The morning had started out slow. Again. Why this still surprised the she-wolf was anyone's guess. Every morning was slow. And in typical fashion, her minipets had woken her up. They were quite the good little alarm clocks, if rather annoying. Maybe she needed to find something else to amuse them so they stopped picking on one another? Maybe toys. They needed toys to play with. Or brains.
After finally getting moving for the morning, she lazed about until classes. Only one today, which was nice. And after that...the weekend. No classes for a few days! Perhaps she'd find something exciting to do for once? Maybe a prank? Or...LW sighed. She needed more friends that she could hang with.
Class over and nothing to do but roam the halls, LW prowled along and found herself feeling bored. This was unusual as she normally liked roaming around. Frowning as she walked, it finally dawned on her why they were bothering her today. The she-wolf felt cooped up. Maybe there was a full moon approaching or something? Either way, she wanted out of this building! And wanted to run on four legs instead of two! Ah...there was a good idea. Grinning, she pranced along towards the school grounds where she could shift forms.
It was nice outside. This was definitely a good idea. The exhilarating feel of shifting from a humanoid form to her wolf form left her in an almost giddy mood. Shaking her fur out the she-wolf took of to get a good run in. She ran until a welcoming burn greeted her legs until she slowed to a trot. Slowing further, she finally sat near a tree and looked around. Now what could she do out here?

Unlike LW, Gabrian wasn't particularly upset over the prospect of a slow day. The nix, in fact, rather liked slow days, given the fact that meant he could indulge in some well deserved alone time. Then again, his alone time wasn't really alone; he was usually accompanied by one of his minipets; at the current moment, he had a rather languid, sleepy looking Floresce wrapped around his neck. It's head was nuzzled on his shoulder as it snoozed, only partially hidden by the demon's head.
He figured he might go to the river; he hadn't had time to practice with his violin since before the Christmas town raid, which he was doing his best to forget, with very little success. Having reached the riverside, he lowered himself down to the ground, reclining against a random tree before placing the musical instrument on his lap. Before he could actually prepare himself to play though, the Floresce that had been napping, opened his bright blue eyes and turned to look towards the right, lifting his head from the demon's shoulder.
The motion was enough to drag Gabrian's attention from the violin and towards the near distance; he was technically expecting another student to appear, not a... was that a wolf? A minipet perhaps? It seemed to be a bit too big to be a pet, "And who might you be?" he called to LW, apparently utterly unaware that she was a student like him, at least for the time being. His head turned for a moment as he scanned their surroundings, "Hmmm..." noticing no one else around, he extended an arm, almost as if trying to coax her to come nearer. The Floresce seemed to narrow it's eyes for a moment, but then settled back upon the demon's shoulder.

Sitting as she was, she had let her eyes drift almost all the way closed as she listened to the sounds around her. Not far off was the river. The running water had an almost melodic quality to it. A faint breeze also teased at her fur and the she-wolf found herself relaxing. Even the scents around here were pleasant!
A voice broke into her dazed relaxation. Blinking and glancing around, she narrowed her eyes as she squinted. Was that a boil over there? Who was he talking to? Looking first to her left, then her right, LW didn't see anyone else. Violet eyes rested on the boil again. His arm was extended in her direction, like he was beckoning to some stray pet... So was he speaking to her then?
Curiosity getting the better of her, and he looked vaguely familiar (had they been in the same train car?), the she-wolf got up, stretching and shaking to resettle her fur before prancing over to him. Once closer, she took the chance to sniff at his hand. He definitely smelled faintly familiar. Otherwise, she had no clue who he was. But hey! He seemed to want some company while sitting out here.
Tail wagging and eyes bright, she sat down next to him and tilted her head, watching him. She spared a glance for the Floresce, but when all it did was narrow its eyes and nothing else, she ignored it for now.

Huh! Interesting.
But then again, Gabrian was always interested by the minipets he could spot near campus, both wild ones and those that belonged to others. It was one of the reasons he had to fight to keep his dorm room from being a disaster zone; he'd had to make a set of parameters and rules. Like for instance, he would keep all his pets in the closet bar a few lucky ones that would not wreck the place. The only ones he usually kept out where the wishing pets, the Floresce, the Death charm, and the Reindeer. The later two more because he couldn't keep them in the closet (they seemed far stronger and more... intelligent than the rest) than anything else. That didn't mean he wasn't always keen and wiling to take more in however.
This creature however, seemed far too tame to be a stray, "And whom might you be, my dear?" when LW was done sniffing his hand, he reached out to scratch her behind her ears, his features softening easily into a relaxed smile of sorts, "Don't you have an owner?" apparently, the Floresce on Gabrian's shoulder had realized what the demon did not, because he let out a soft snort, managing, just barely, to roll his eyes slightly.
"Oh, pay him no mind," he told the wolf, "He's just frustrated over the fact he can't seem to woo the lepus he likes," that said, he retreated his hand away from LW and motioned to the violin on his lap, "Would you like to listen to some music, then?" it was, perhaps, amusing to note that he seemed far more open and relaxed around the wolf than he was around any students he'd met so far. The minipets, after all, never judged.

It was curious how he seemed to treat her like...like she was nothing but the wolf she currently was. Did he not realize that she had another form? Or that she was a werewolf and therefore also a fellow student? This was...amusing. Very very amusing. Now the question the she-wolf was fighting with was...did she say anything to him? Or let him continue to believe her to be someones 'pet'? The comment about having an owner almost made her say something. Almost.
Of course whatever thoughts she'd had of speaking in general were washed away when he scratched behind her hears. Oh Jack! This was heaven right here! LW leaned into the scratching unashamedly and totally ate up the attention. Her tail was wagging in appreciation of the scratching. A soft sound may have escaped while she enjoyed the ministrations of his fingers. People needed to give head scratches like these more often. The soft snort of his minipet registered faintly, but enough so that she flicked her gaze up to it. Ah, so that one knew what she was.
As his hand pulled away, she may have leaned towards it before catching herself. Alright, there might have also been a spark of guilt for not mentioning yet that she wasn't a pet, but a werewolf. Except his next words once again distracted her thoughts. Play? Play what? The she-wolf leaned a little and glanced down at his lap. He played violin? Music! She did love music. Especially the kind she could dance to. But would he play it if he thought she was anything but a wolf?
LW was probably going to that special place that bad boils and ghouls go to for this. She yipped once and nudged his hand towards the instrument. Hopefully anyone that knew her in this form didn't see her just yet. Then again, only what? One person had seen her like this? Yep. The special place.

The Floresce kept watching the wolf, snorting again when she almost fell over as the demon retracted his hand away; if pastel rainbow fish-snakes could laugh... Davy certainly was (it sounded more like a strange snicker, but still). Alas, Gabrian was apparently used to his pet's behavoir, seeing as how he easily ignored it and instead smiled at the wolf, "A fan of music, I see?" he took only a moment to lift a hand and shove the Floresce's head back on his shoulder before addressing LW again, "Well then, let me play for you, my dear. It's been a while since I've played for anyone, specifically and by request."
The nudge was, apparently, all the demon needed from her, for he turned slightly and lifted to place the violin under his chin before. The music that followed was hauntingly sad, albeit melodic and as he played the song, his eyes closed. He seemed perfectly relaxed and at peace with what he was doing, which... probably wouldn't have been the case if the ghoul had been in her other form. It never so much as occurred to him that perhaps she was a student - by all means it should have occurred to him though! After all, he had a snake form, and he knew Alessa had a rabbit form, though then again... he'd made the same mistake with the rabbit girl upon meeting her. In fact, he'd almost eaten her when he met her, though he kept on insisting it'd been due to the fact she'd been peering over the river in which he'd been resting in... in snake form. Anyone could have made such a mistake!
The only reason he hadn't eaten Alessa had been that she'd stumbled back in a rather... human like way, even despite her rabbit form. That and she'd tried to talk (rant, technically) him to death, which had been a sure fire way to notice she was, in fact, a student, and not a wild animal.
The music only paused briefly when the demon opened his eyes and turned his gaze towards the wolf. After a moment of considering, he placed the instrument on the floor and easily reached out for the canine, apparently intent on placing her on his lap before continuing if she'd let him, "You look rather warm, actually, and I'm afraid I feel slightly cold. Would you terribly mind sharing some heat?" it was as he said that, that his snake like tail peeked from behind, curling up and then back down on the ground, as if to maintain that yes, he was reptilian in nature, and yes, the heat was most welcome.

If she had been in her other form, she probably would have blushed a little at how it seemed a very special gift almost that he was playing for her. Oh man. Ohmanohmanohman. She was so totally going to that special place. LW wasn't sure yet if she was glad or not his Floresce hadn't informed it's master, in one way or another, that she was not a pet. As long as the snake-thing kept quiet, she would continue to remain in this form and keep the boil unawares. But oh man was that guilt starting to ease its ugly claws into her.
However when the first few notes were pulled from the wooden instrument, LW found herself sitting quietly with her eyes closed as she listened to the melody. There seemed to be something sad about it, but it was also strangely appealing. Beautiful in its own way. Oh yeah. She was very happy that she hadn't said anything yet. This was...well currently, the she-wolf couldn't find words to explain how relaxing and enjoyable this was. A soft sigh escaped at the end of the tune and she opened her eyes slowly.
Wide violet eyes stared at the boil when he finished his song and he reached out towards her. LW didn't move away but she didn't jump right into his arms either. Candlejack! What did she do?! Say something or seal her fate even more in the special place? I promise to feel bad about this all later. Moving cautiously closer, she gave him the canine equivalent of a grin and allowed him to place her in his lap however he wanted. The words digging your own grave slid through her mind.

It was special, true, but it was more due to the fact he was usually so prone to edging away from others before they could ask him to play than anything else. If someone would have been able to corner him and ask him to play a song for them, Gabrian wouldn't have been able to turn them down; as much as he tried to be a lone wolf, it was hardly possible to be one when one thrived on physical interaction. When in solitude, he was out of his comfort zone, which was ironic. Alas. What was a boil to do?
The fct she did not jump into his arms was hardly surprising to him; most pets didn't jump into his arms (barring his wishing pets). He, in fact, actually paused as soon as he grabbed her, as if expecting her to squirm and wish to be put down; when she offered no resistance though, he moved her towards him, taking a moment to put his face near the scruff of her neck to inhale, "You smell of wilderness," he told the wolf, "But you seem to be much too sweet to be wild. I rather like you," this was all voiced into her fur before he placed her comfortably on his lap, against his chest and raised the violin up.
"I gather you enjoyed that," he was technically talking about the music, not the er... snuggling, actually. However, it was at this point that the Floresce decided the whole ordeal was too much for it to take (granted, this was probably because Davy was already bored and wanted some action - what better way to entertain himself than by alerting his master?). The snake-fish lifted his head and chomped his jaws over a piece of Gabrian's hair, giving it a few small tugs as he gurgled softly.
This motion only seemed to annoy the demon however, whom frowned slightly, "And what, exactly, do you want? I am quite sure that my playing for her is not any of your concern. You don't really ever give a damn about my playing anyhow, so what, exactly is the matter with you?" the Floresce, for his part, let go of his master's hair and gurgled some more, pointing a fin, and then his tail at LW. Gabrian, however, seemed entirely clueless as to what his pet was trying to tell him.
For now anyhow.

Grooooooan. She was feeling absolutely guilty about all of this now. But...all the attention! What she-wolf wouldn't melt at such attention! And then the music. Oh she was going to be apologizing for years for this one. LW promised herself that after one more song...she would tell him the sad truth. That she was, in fact, a fellow student and not the pet he thought her to be. Why? Why did he have to be so...so...ah my god! He was wonderful, that was what he was!
She didn't squirm when he grabbed her, but she did when his face met the back of her neck area, at her scruff. It was close enough to snuggles and nuzzles so of course she all but melted. And then his words. Jackdamnit! She was a horrible and mean she-wolf. In fact, she should remove herself from his lap right now and...the violin was raised up again and she forgot about why she was a bad little wolf.
Enjoyed it? Who wouldn't have enjoyed it! Her tail wagged a little in response as she waited to hear more of his music. Except the Floresce was making movements again. Stupid minipet. It seemed to be trying to inform its master of the truth. Ah, come on! Was it such a crime to listen to him play his violin? Head tilted, a violet eye regarded the Floresce. Just one more tune! Pleaseeeee?! Hopefully the stupid thing would let her get away with that. Besides, after another tune the she-wolf's guilt will have climaxed and she'd have to tell him. Maybe. Hopefully. Jackdamnit! A whine escaped and she nudged his hand again. Yep. Bad little wolf indeed. Maybe she could steal another snuggle out of it before revealing herself?
... ...
That might be asking too much, if the Floresce was anything to judge by right now.

Oh, it had much, much less to do with it being a crime and more to do with the fact the Floresce was currently bored. The best form of entertainment was drama, and freak outs, or at least... that's what the snake-fish seemed believe, if the way he kept insisting on tugging at his master's hair was any indication.
Alas, despite the fact Gabrian fancied himself a rather bright, young demon... he had no jacked-damned idea what his pet was trying to tell him. The fact LW interrupted him by nosing his hand and whining in that sweet, needy sort of way puppies seemed to have did not help matter much, "What the-" he frowned and tried to push the Floresce's head gently with his free hand, causing the the snake-fish to seemingly 'growl' in frustration. It was right about then that the creature decided that enough was enough and it moved to uncurl himself from Gabrian's neck.
The creature flopped with a soft 'thud' on the ground, and then in one rough, swift movement, snapped his long tail, attempting to curl it around LW's body. He seemed to be doing everything in his power to point out and draw attention to LW's skull pin, which, in Davy's modest opinion, was a dead give away.
Amusingly enough, the demon's first reaction was a scowl at his minipet, "What, in Jack's name has gotten into you?" he was trying to keep the werewolf out of the Floresce's reach until, after a few failed tries on Davvy's part, he finally managed to draw attention to LW's skull pin. The moment that happened, Gabrian paused, his hands still holding the wolf, and then... stiffened up, looking much like a deer caught in headlights. He held his breath for a beat, two, and then let it out in a soft, unsure, "Oh, Jack..." he remain mostly frozen though, still holding the wolf, as if unsure what he was supposed to do with her. His mind told him that throwing her away from him was horribly rude, and yet at the same time, keeping her on his lap was not the most appropriate of things; in his vague defense, his mind wasn't really entirely with him. It was having trouble shifting gears and getting past the fact he apparently had an unknown, (most likely) female student on his lap, and he'd been nuzzling her.
This had not been in his list of priorities for today.

Really? Was it really asking too much? All the she-wolf wanted to do was listen to that sweet haunting music again! It was strangely relaxing and drew you in. And this boil was so very nice. No wonder guilt hung heavily about her. How could she have let the demon believe her anything but a student?! Maybe it was a good thing, then, that his Floresce decided to get more animated in its ways of trying to inform its master what she was. Except she hadn't been expecting what it actually did.
Snake-thing was so dead. So very dead. At least, that was what she kept shouting in her mind. On the outside however, she reacted in the only way that any creature having a serpentine thing wrap around them would. Freeze up like a frightened rabbit before freaking out. LW was frozen, hardly breathing. Just what in Jack's name was the Floresce trying to do to her? It was taking almost all of her willpower to not jump from the boils lap. She didn't want to hurt him by accidentally...hitting him somewhere. Or dig her nails into his legs. There was already enough guilt eating her up.
When she finally felt the boil freeze as the gears started to turn (thanks to his Floresce), LW helped him to decide whether or not he should continue holding her or not. The she-wolf freaked out. The feeling of a snake creature she didn't know wrapped around her was too much for the she-wolf on top of the guilt... oh jackdamnit! It had nothing to do with the Floresce anymore. LW felt terrible.
Wiggling around a little, she dislodged herself from the very comfy position of being sprawled in his lap and jumped a little so that she was standing in front of him now. Awkward probably wasn't a strong enough word to use in this situation. Should she just bolt and pretend none of it had happened? With a groan, LW sat down where she was, glaring at the Floresce wrapped around her still. "I'll get you back, mark my words." She said softly to the creature before a heavy sigh escaped and she let that red fur recede along her until slightly tan skin replaced it. That big red tail was curled around her in a guilty fashion.
Cheeks a little on the red side, LW looked up at the demon, hands tightly clenched together in her lap. "Umm..." Jack! What was she supposed to say? The words just ended up tumbling out in one huge word garble. "IamsososorrybutyourmusicwassolovelyIcouldnthelpmyself-" Her mouth snapped shut and she just sat there with an owlish expression, cheeks still red.

If Floresces could smirk and look like smug snakes... well, this one sure as hell did. It even had the nerve to turn his head and nuzzle LW's neck and head when she whispered to it; the movement had no real love, the teasing nature of it only more obvious when the creature swiftly uncurled his body from around the werewolf's. Almost as if anticipating she might try to maim him for being so bold. Having decided his job was done though, he curled up languidly to watch the ensuing chaos (or at least, what he obviously hoped would be chaos).
When LW yanked herself out of his grip, Gabrian offered no opposition. In fact, he remain rather stock still throughout most of the ordeal, his hands still posed as if he were holding something in them. The gears in his mind had obviously stopped turning, because for a long, awkward moment, all the demon could do was stare at the wolf in horror.
Her transformation seemed to kick him back into reality though, seeing as how as she began to shift, the boil stiffened again, dropping his hands down to the ground. He was, in fact, deeply considering shifting into his serpent form, offering her an upset hiss and slithering to the river bank in order to sink into the waters where he would be safe from embarrassment. Or at least... where he could go lick his pride and ego, which were currently in tatters. The only thing that kept him rooted in place, instead of listening to his panicked need to go into the water... was the fact he'd have had to leave his violin behind, and he honestly didn't want to do that. Not after he'd only just gotten it back.
Gabrian was still trying to school his features into something (anything) other than mortification mixed with vague horror by the time the ghoul decided to speak up. It was actually, probably the fact that she looked just about as embarrassed as he did that 'saved' her from a scathing, hurtful remark and his prompt departure. In fact, it was obvious the demon was torn for a moment before he took in a deep breath and then released it in the form of a sigh, allowing his head to to flop down against the bark of the tree he'd been leaning on, "I'm afraid..." he murmured as he reached up with one hand to rub his temple and then wash it over his face before turning to look at her again, still clearly embarrassed, if his blush was any indication, "That you're going to have to slow down. I didn't catch a word you said. Except the 'sorry'," here, he paused for just a brief moment, "Apology accepted..." though honestly, now he was in a bit of a bind, because this girl here... knew. What in Jack's name was he going to do about that?

He was just staring at her with that...look. It was keeping her cheeks red and making the she-wolf fidget. Really? Was it really that big of a deal to be snuggling? She privately thought that demons needed to loosen up if that was how they reacted. Or practice snuggling more. Still, she felt very abashed. And seeing his own blush wasn't helping with that feeling either.
Then there was the floresce.
If she had still been in her other form, her ears would have been flat against her skull. It really was probably a good thing that it had swiftly moved away. After it nuzzled against her in that teasing way, she would have strangled it. The only reason LW hadn't gone after it while he curled up to watch the show, was because she didn't think it would be polite for her to murder the poor boils pet. Especially after what she had let happen. Instead, she settled for glaring at the devious thing.
Taking a slow deep breath, LW stopped glaring at the floresce and looked back up at the demon. She chewed at her lower lip, careful not to pierce her lip with her teeth. That would be bad. Her tail curled tightly around her as she worked to slow down her speech. "I..." Wait. He accepted her apology? LW blinked at him slowly. "I-I'm very sorry." She said finally in a small voice. "You're..." the she-wolf gestured towards his violin before clenching her hands together again. "You play beautifully." Man! She didn't know what to do right now.
Before she really knew it, LW had a hand extended towards the floresce in a gentle non-threatening manner. She'd already forgiven him. Looking back up at the demon she gave him a bashful look. "I sincerely apologize. I just couldn't help it. You're very sweet. And you're music..." The she-wolf trailed off and waited. LW wouldn't blame him for losing it and giving her a piece of his mind. She more than deserved it right now. It was probably too much to ask for him to play again.

The Floresce, despite being curled up a short way aways, was still looking on as the scene played out, his eyes mostly trained on LW, as if this were the most entertaining thing he'd seen in a very long while. In fact, when Gabrian turned to look at his pet, he could have sworn the thing was smirking; if it'd been a cat, it'd probably would have been purring, "You're a nuisance," he told the Floresce, whom didn't even have the grace to look sheepish. If anything, his smirk widened a touch, "Stop gawking, Davy. It's rude," the demon lifted an arm and offered it, and for a moment, it looked like the creature was going to stay where he was, but after a beat, he uncurled and then resumed his previous position, comfortably tucking himself away under Gabrian's neck. That didn't mean it couldn't still tease the ghoul though, if the small smirk he sent LW was any indication; it almost seemed to shout something akin to 'yeah look at where I'M at, and YOU'RE not!'.
When the demon had managed to secure his pet back in place, he turned towards the she wolf, whom was still posed a way aways, almost as if she were now scared to approach. Half of him almost seemed to decide that it served her right, but his other, much nicer side, decided to throw her a bone, since she looked so utterly appalled by her own actions, "You're forgiven," he repeated, and then reached out with his hand to pat the ground beside him, "You're welcome to take a seat," this time, hopefully not on his lap though; he wasn't entirely sure how to deal with the fact he'd been holding and nuzzling her, so he was more or less choosing to address that fact a bit later. First things first, "That might be because I'm a Nix demon," he told her, "It's what we do," a pause, "Part of what we do."
When LW lifted her hand, Davy eyed it critically, his eyes narrowing as he turned to look first up at her face, and then down at her hand before he repeated the motion. A couple of seconds flew by, during which he sniffed her hand, but when it seemed obvious to the floresce that she wasn't intent on inflicting bodily harm... he easily slithered to uncurl from his master's neck and reached out to bump his nose against the she wolf's hand.
While his pet's behavior was... rather interesting, the ghouls words were enough to make Gabrian look away, looking rather embarrassed, "You weren't supposed to see that..." the words were murmured, but they were loud enough for her to hear. It was rather obvious that he was referring to the sweet part and not the music itself. When he finally turned back to face LW, he narrowed his eyes slightly, as if evaluating her, "Can I trust you with a secret?" then again, what choice did he have?

Her gaze was traveling back and forth between demon and minipet. She couldn't seem to pick which one was safest to stare at. The little devil of a snake-thing pet solved that though. Her eyes stayed on it, frowning at the smirk she just knew it was making. Evil thing. When it, now wait. What had the boil called him? Davy? When Davy finally slithered up to take his perch and shot her yet another look, LW's tail thrashed a little behind her. Like a pup that had found something it wanted to pounce. What the Jack? Was it just a minipet trait to be utter pains?! LW sighed mentally.
Glaring contest over with Davy, LW took the chance to look the boil over. She swore she'd seen him somewhere. But as to where, that seemed to have slipped her mind. He said it again, that she was forgiven. It eased her shoulders a little. And...wait what? He was patting the ground beside him and offering for her to sit there? The she-wolf was surprised by this and her face probably showed it. That was not what she had expected from him. No, she was expecting to run as fast as she could before some demon boil was able to strangle her. LW chewed at her lower lip trying to decide if that was the smart thing to do. But, he had said she was forgiven. Twice even.
She moved slowly, sort of in a half crouch as she crawled closer. LW still expected some sort of...retaliation maybe? for her actions. Such was the life of a werewolf. Her brothers would have been all over her for something along these lines. Sitting next to the demon now, LW didn't really start to relax until Davy seemed to make peace with her. For now anyways. LW didn't trust the floresce. He had a mischievous nature to him.
So this demon was a Nix, was he? Well, LW had to admit she didn't know demon kind that well. What the Jack was a Nix? Not that it mattered too much. Her head tilted to the side a little when he looked away in an embarrassed way. Ah geez! She hadn't meant to make him feel so embarrassed! The she-wolf blinked at him in confusion. What was wrong with appearing sweet? It was nice to meet someone like that every now and then. The confusion only deepened and might have had a little bit of alarm to when he turned a slightly narrowed eyed stare on her. Her tail curled tightly around her legs and she leaned a little away. Oh man was she going to get the reaction she had been expecting after all?
"S-secret?" She seemed to make herself smaller and the thought of shifting and running raced through her mind once. Jackdamnit! She was a tough she-wolf! She could take whatever he dealt out. "What secret?"
