Zephyranth yawned loudly as her father head butted her again and again, it wasn't until he started swinging that heavy tail of his, that she knew he meant business.

"The sun is still up, bright and annoying." she hissed, as she stretched, adjusting her glasses and hair.

"I don't care, its your mothers day to deal with you, you need to go find your airhead of a sister and go meet the others." he growled, stomping his way back up the lighthouse stairs.

"But dad..." she called, getting met with the slamming of the door.

"Stupid broken family, stupid sun light, stupid....ARGH!" she cried opening the door and squinting. Zephyr enjoyed the night lights, the blinking of the stars and the ease on her eyes. She hated the feel of the warm sun, baking her delicate skin. She wasn't much of a tom boy like her sister Seraphina or an airhead like cornflakes or like him...her annoying brother.

As she made her way down through the beach, towards the woods, she wondered if today would be another fight. Her parents, always fight. Stopping at the fork, she sighed, to the left her mother and siblings but to the right, it was an escape. No one had to know she didn't meet with her mother. No one would care, and besides, it looked much more shaded.

Laughing, she turned and headed down, not knowing at all where she was going, humming a little tune.
