Closing black eyes, Jukwa'lililokuwa let herself relax in the shade of one of the many trees scattered about the area of the Rogue lands she'd decided to settle in for the time being. Her black paws rested in a patch of sunlight, and her pale pink, white, and yellow fur shone slightly in the rays. The shadows allowed her to keep cool, and to enjoy a tasty kill in peace. Zebra was, after all, her favourite taste, and the laid back nature in which she got to enjoy it was a seldom-known luxury. Tearing flesh from skin with careful precision, she toyed with a bit of Zebra skin, letting her slightly bloodied maw wipe on her paw as she thought about the day.

Why about the day? Well, not much had happened, and the Lioness wondered sometimes when something would. It usually took a while, and choice encounters were hard to come by, especially when you were a roaming rogue like she. Not searching for a Pride, nor for a permanent mate, Jukwa loved the calm of the day, but still, action was nice too. That, and she'd been longing for company for quite some time now.

Now, Shelai'doan was even more bored than the female. Having not gotten much interaction, save with a cub he'd taken in as his own, the silvery cheetah was actually quite hungry. He'd not been able to catch anything in the last few days, so he slowly made his way towards where he already smelled a fresh kill. As it turned out, probably for the male's luck, it was a lioness, who seemed rather friendly enough. Approaching her cautiously, pale golden eyes gazed up at her from under an unruly lock of silver mane. When she gazed up at him, he smiled, that sweet innocent smile other lions usually associated with Shell.

"....Shellshell was wondering if she wouldn't mind sharing a few bitesies. Hunting has been hard, it has, and poor Shellshell hasn't eated for a bit of days." He knew his linguistics were odd, and sometimes confused people, but that was the way Shelai'doan spoke for the most part. A cryptic, yet obvious tongue that he, himself had become so used to, it was obscene.

The pale femme looked up from her kill, only to see in front of her one of the ODDEST Cheetahs she ever had seen. Purring softly, she let her tail flick back and forth, "Shell, was it, darling? Sure. I don't really give any care right now. I'm mostly done anyways." Her eyes studied the other curiously, and she gently pushed the thing towards the obviously hungry great cat. Poor baby. He really did look famished. Jukwa's scrutinizing gaze ran over his body, silver broken only by strange green rings and wave-markings that...made no sense to her.

Her own were like her mother's, and she wondered if his were as well. Parents were the usual cause of markings like that, but the young woman didn't want to ask. Watching him carefully, she spoke softly, "Enjoy, Shell. I'm Jukwa'Lililokuwa. It's nice to meet another rogue out here." Especially one who had the kind of hard time that she had every so often, since she wandered on her own.

He smiled brightly at her, purring as he sunk his teeth into the remnants of the lioness' kill. The young Cheetah ate with gusto, chewing like it was the first meal in weeks, rather than days. He took no notice of the Lioness watching him, just kept on eating, his wave-covered hips sinking to the ground, and his paws stretching out as he lay down. The heated blood gently running down his throat was so appetizing. He adored a good kill after a few days, seriously. Raising his head to meet her eyes, he grinned at her, "Thank you so much, miss Jukwa! Shellshell couldn't be happier!" Then he dug back in with a vengeance, just gulping down what little was left.

When he was done, the Cheetah reached a paw up to rub against his maw, blood leaving his silver fur and moving down to the emerald rings about his paws. Moving towards her on elegant, dancing pawsteps, he leaned his head down, and licked her head, just a gesture of appreciation. He didn't get too much of kindness from others out here in the wild. Tail sweeping in the ground back and forth, he turned on his paws, "Shell must thank her so much for the meal, but he needs to go now. He has a little one to look after!"

Jukwa smiled sweetly at him, gently licking at his cheek as she stood as well, "That's okay, honey. Rogues always part their separate ways eventually. Gods know I do, always." She gently shook herself, as if that could rid her of the sleepiness from the sunshine and full stomach, "And responsibilities always come first. I totally understand that." She yawned again, and watched as the Cheetah took off towards a more remote area of the plains. Shaking her head with a smile, she was happy to say he had been one of the more interesting encounters of her life. A male like him was hard to come by!

She enjoyed playing games, but even more, the young femme enjoyed a good friendship, which seemed to be what she had just come by with Shelai'doan. Stranger things had happened, she supposed. Who knew, perhaps the world out there held stranger encounters for her, more males and females for her to meet, more friends to have, and maybe, someday, a mate or cubs. Cubs for her to love, nurture and teach, to guard and to treat with the most love that she had in her being. The male had actually gotten her to start thinking about that again, something she didn't usually dwell on...too deeply. For now, it was only to wander away, and let her steady paws carry her to the next new adventure. Maybe she'd even get lucky, huh? Who could ever know~
