I tend to stick mainly to RPG's and games that are unique and stand out or have exploration elements to them. More and more, I'm finding that JRPG's are growing cliched and boring, so my tastes lie more with the American Brand of RPG that has popped up.

This sums up my reaction to Skyrim pretty well)
Minecraft is wonderful for so many reasons, though unfortunately my dinosaur of a computer has trouble with it unless I've turned all of the settings way down. Defeats a lot of the fun if you can't appreciate your work at a distance or use that massive light tower that you created as a reference point as a reference point since you can't actually see it due to a short render distance.
Terraria is a brand new 2D game in the same vein as minecraft. It's available for only 10 bucks through Steam. I couldn't possibly give it a higher recommendation. If you go try it I guarantee you will end up thanking me.
I also have a long history of table top roleplaying game experience, primarily working as a DM.
