Their journey hadn't taken long to get back to their home, heartland. Yes, theirs. Now, they were mates for life and he had finally gotten his head together when he saw her. It was as simple as their reunion and they had both been beating themselves up over their last argument for so long. It was unnecessary when thinking back but with everything that's happened, Boris would of liked to think they had both grown a lot over time, now they knew exactly what they wanted and that was each other. Nothing more in the world could compare.
Which is why he decided to do something special for her. The sporadic times of day had now landed a ray of purple, blues and blacks across the sky, it's large moon decorated in a beautiful blue, a long with white, heavenly glow of the stars were what was left to light up the land. It was perfect.
He stayed looking up at it for a while, having told Madoka to meet him at the edge of the forest where the river was; it was where they last had their argument. He didn't want anywhere in heartland to leave a bad feeling so he was determined to make it up to her. Fireflies were hovering around giving the darkness a mystical tinge, they could almost be mistaken as faeries as they flew over the gigantic mushrooms and other growths within it. His ears kept a slow twitch, so his chimes could be heard. They would lead her way... He was certain they would.

Madoka had been told by Boris to meet her at the river. She had a basic idea of where it was and she was on her way there. She was happy that Boris had ask her to meet him there, in the past he would go out, and not ask her to follow or meet him and it had made her feel lonely. So now things were changing, and he was taking her places!
Madoka bounced her way there. She giggles happily as she was building up with anticipation and when she spotted him by the river she perked up even more. "Here I am!" She called out to him, but as she got closer she realized this was where they had their first and only fight. Madoka wondered if something was wrong, but Boris's body language didn't show anything for her to be worried about.

Madoka's voice was soothing lyrics to his ears, he had been anxiously waiting her arrival since he had finished setting up, now she was here his lips curled in to a grin. He turned on his hooves and bounded over to her, out stretching his neck to nuzzle her cheek lovingly, in greeting like he used to do. "Madoka!" He chuckled. "I'm glad you found your way, I would have walked here with you, but... As I said..." He winked, turning again as he lept behind a bush. His mouth wound around a bunch of thorn less stems before trotting back to through the bush to her front, a bouquet of colorful, hybrid flowers bunched up, just for her.
He had been gathering them all morning, carefully picking out ones he thought she would love. Blues, pink's, yellows. Every color of the rainbow. His tail swayed gently behind him, from over the top of the flowers, he couldn't help but scan her moonlit frame. She was beautiful, from the faint black of her mane that faded out in to vibrant pink tips, to the deep black of her coat and the symbol upon her rump. He blushed gently, moving closer to her, slipping his eyes solely to look in to hers.
"Surprise!" He muffled through the stems, Ears falling back in anticipation.

Madoka's heart had started to race. She wasn't to sure what was happening, and as it was dark out, she couldn't quite tell what he was doing. But she happily returned the nuzzle, and was completely surprised to find a large gathering of flowers. He was presenting them to her, she watched each flower, the colors were so bright, they almost glowed. She wiggled her butt some, and she giggled happily. No one had ever given her flowers before!
"I like them very much!" She beamed at him. She couldn't help but giggle at him trying to talk about them. They were simply perfect, and she stepped forward and nosed them carefully, and took in a breath to smell them. "Thank you Boris." She said softly to him. Glancing up to catch his eyes.

Boris blushed lightly, tipping his head to the side shyly, admiring Madoka's gentle touch and her appreciation for the flowers. He let his eyes slip to her, his head still tilted as he gave a slow nod, tweaking a lopside smile with what he could with the flowers held in his mouth. He carefully rubbed his cheek affectionately against hers, purring as they touched then turned to move over to a log next to the riverside as he carefully placed the flowers down on it, before lifting his head, ears flickering gently.
"I'm glad you like them. I spent all morning fusing over what you may like." He chuckled, lifting one hoof to carefully rub against his other leg all flushed. He had never really done anything like this before, not properly so he was worried he may not be doing it right. She seemed happy so far so his doubts could be kept at bay for now.
"Would you like to take a walk?" He asked, letting his eyes meet the moonlit sky before he nipped at his boa and lifted it so it left a hoop next to his shoulder, in offer for her to join him. His eyes were gentle and loving as they peered over the boa at her, ears flattened neatly back in to his hair.

Madoka watched him and smiled. He was so sheepish and cute. She was falling for him all over again. She happily made her way to stand next to him. Letting the boa fall over her shoulders. She glanced up at him, and wondered to herself how she managed to be so lucky. She nuzzled into his neck softly.
"I'll follow you anywhere." She beamed up at him. Madoka closed her eyes for a few moments, as she nestled against him. Whether Boris realized it or not, he was always sweet and romantic with her. Even the normal nuzzles and touches made her heart skip beats.

"Great! Lets get going." He beamed, turning eagerly with her by his side. He guessed it wouldn't matter where they were going just that they were going together! He started to walk ahead with her close to his side, close enough that her coat bristled against his and made him purr quietly like a soft hum. His eyes wandered ahead in the sweet silence, following the water as it lapped and danced under the starlight.
"Remember when we first met?" He asked softly, chuckling lightly. "I was trying to teach you how to fish... Did you ever try again on your own?" He asked, he wondered if she had ever taken much of an interest in it after that or if they had been so wrapped up in each other and the events that followed on from it that they had forgotten the little details.
Boris must have gone over their many memories like riding a rollercoaster over and over again. He never got bored thinking back, they made him smile everytime. That way he knew they had so many more exciting memories to come and enjoy in the future, to relive them with her instead of on his own this time.

Madoka didn't care if there wasn't a destination for them to walk. She would talk forever as long as she was by his side. He body was warm, and she wanted to wrap herself around that. And then his voice broke the silence and she looked up at him.
Did she ever remember! It felt like yesterday, though she would have thought he'd forget it. Things like first meetings, where girly memories usually, not many stallions remember such things. She remembered tripping and stumbling into the water where he was fishing...
"Fishing... That I did." She smiled, the golden ring he peirced her lip with, glistening in the light. "Still do once in a while... But I never was as good as you though. Madoka isn't quiet as graceful. " She laughed a little. "Remember how clumsy I was?" She blushed some thinking about it. She wasn't very cat like now either, but she didn't trip over her own hooves as often! And if it weren't for that, the two of them might not have ever met.
