 The water was sparkling as the sun's rays reflected off it's rippled surface. It was making him dizzy. How was he supposed to know which way is up if the sun seemed to shine from every direction?
Eh, oh well. He can't control the sun either way. Or the light that shines, or the water that reflects. He took off from the small hill and glided towards the lake's beach. A blinding light flashed across his vision and Fungi shut his eyes tight in order to stop the sudden pain. "Argh!" Suddenly the ground was too close- he was going to crash!
A poof of dust was pushed into the air as he crashed no where near his intended destination. He grunted and got up. Stupid sun.

 Rose Syrup was enjoying herself at Narrow Lake. Peppermint Swirl, her other flight member, was out foraging. She was just going about a few chores at the lake, collecting water and personal upkeep. The Sun was very bright that day, she was enjoying the warmth of the sun and the cool feel of the water.
She was just soaking up the atmosphere when she suddenly heard a lond scream and an "oof!" a few yards away. She went over to have a look. It certainly wasn't peppermint, so it must have been a wyvern of another flight. She tilted her head at his squished state on the ground and greeted him.
"Hi."

Fungi grumbled as he tried to dust his body and remove the dirt stains, which were now permanent, from his wings. He looked up and tensed as he heard noises coming from a few yards away and posed to defend himself from an attack.
Suddenly what came into view was a very pink wyvern. He slowly blinked at her response to his presence, wondering what to say. He didn't know her, so it would be awkward for him to ask questions. But on the other wing, she was near his territory, so he had the right. Fungi blinked again as he realized several seconds had passed since she greeted him and he had not yet answered. Well, might as well go simple.
"Hello."

He was unkempt, a bit muddy but a really rich purple underneath. It seemed very normal for him, falling out of the sky. "Do you fall out of the sky often?"

"Hm... What? Yes." Fungi stuttered out, fidgeting as he thought of what to say.

Rose giggled at Fungi's slight discomfort either from the fall or her. She liked to think it was the latter. "Oh, I don't fly very much, I usually stay on the ground foraging, doing chores, et cetera."
"What are you doing here?"

Giggling? Why was she giggling? Maybe there was dirt on his face; he quickly rubbed his face as he tried to rub off more of the permanent dirt stains.
Another question? This wyvern was very... noisy. "Me, here? Living." he said to her as he peered at her curiously. "Flying... more fun."

His head ticked to the side in a twitchy manner. Introduction over. Now what?

He looked like he's never spoken to anyone before. It felt so awkward talking to him. Rose shifted her eyes from him to the lake, to just about anything. "So... Are you ok?"

"Ok with what?" He said as he stared at her blankly, no longer twitching. Or blinking. Was he still breathing? Oh wait, his chest moved for a second. Ok, still breathing.

"Well, then I guess you are," she smiled sweetly.
The sun was shining very brightly, it was also getting a bit warm. Rose was starting to feel uncomfortable, and she knew it wasn't from this conversation. "I think we should move into the shade, it's starting to get a bit warm. Or maybe cool off in the lake?" her eyes twinkled.

"Mm' kay." Why was she smiling? She did have a pretty smile, though confusing. Did he look amusing?
"Hm, sure." he said back to her question, forgetting to point out which option he preferred over the other. "Sounds fun."

Rose giggled at his response. He really did seem like such an awkward wyvern. How interesting. "Fungi, which would you prefer? The lake or the shade? If you'd ask me, I think you could use a small wash off from all that dirt," Rose smiled.
She started for the lake, cool water sounded wonderful under the blazing Sun. She walked happily, looking forward to splashing in the refreshing water.

"The lake." Fungi replied to Rose. Wait. Why'd he say that? The lake always shined light into his eyes. He hates the lake.
"Sounds fun." That can't be his voice. Seriously. It didn't seem his body agreed with his opinion however as he made to follow Rose towards the body of water.
