⊠ Pokemon Origins: Rankurusu (Literally 'Ranculus') could be a combination of 乱 ran "disorder" or 卵 ran, spawn, and homunculus,
o - o - o - o - o - o ----referencing the small humanoid figure in the jelly.
o - o - o - o - o - o ----It also seems to resemble that of a cell (as hinted from previous evolutions).

◈ "おいで...!": Come here! Lotto's very affectionate, you see. As a Rakurusu, this Pokemon has its long, jelly arms that can do pretty much anything: Like your own arms and hands. Since Rankurusu's actual arms are quite tiny, it's near impossible to actually embrace anything at all. Combined with his very expressive and loving self, he seems to hug anyone he knows a lot with the arms he can now use. It just seems to be the way he greets others, though. Prepare for trouble constant hugs and glomps, everyone. Not to worry though, he knows what 'distance' is... I think.
◈ Curiosity can't kill... Can it?: Questions, questions, questions. It's what everyone has in their lives. Too bad this Rankurusu wants to know yours, too. Although he knows it's a flaw that gets him into trouble, he constantly keeps driving for more. Being the one who wants to learn about everything, he'll ask about things at any time, any place, and about anything he can think about at the spot. Including that untouchable past you won't let anyone know because you don't want them to worry.
◈ Don't sneak up on me like that...!: Being a psychic Pokemon, Rankurusu are naturally weak against both dark and ghost types. When these two types combine, though, unimaginable scares will frighten the daylights out of this psychic blob. Lotto is both scared of the dark and what monsters may be inside it, and his first reaction will be either to freeze or run for it. This doesn't exactly classify him as a total scaredy-cat (er, blob) though: Remember that he's great against fighting types. Brains over brawn, after all!
◈ Facing your fears: He can't do it. No matter how many times Lotto tries. He can't stand more than half an hour into a horror movie or video game. Still, as foolish he can be, he still tries... And fails.
