Maisha was slowly getting used to rogue life. But...for someone who was used to being surrounded by family and pride members, Mai was finding the life very, very lonely. It was rare he ran across more than one other creature a day that actually didn't mind talking. And sometimes he went days without seeing anyone. It was...well, it was sad. Very sad.

The leopon sighed and settled under a tree, ears drooping as he escaped the heat. He was starting to get homesick again.

Ghasia was hunting. Badly. In fact, what she was doing probably wasn't classed as 'hunting' but rather as 'running after a rather frustrating gazelle who just wouldn't stop and be nice and let her eat him!' She was panting heavily as she raced after him, not running at full speed lest she tire herself out completely but still moving fact.

"Come back!" She called out, as the Gazelle turned sharply and bolted away, her pace slowing as exhaustion kicked in. She wasn't a bad hunter, normally, but today nothing seemed to be going right for her. She had planned to catch a feast to thank her brother for being so nice to her but it hadn't worked and now she was left exhausted, far from home and without food.

She groaned and flopped to the ground, puffing heavily.

Mai watched as a gazelle ran past him, looking annoyed and panicked at the same time. Blinking, the leopon lifted his head again and followed the direction of the gazelle a moment...then turned his head in the direction the gazelle had COME from. And saw a rather exhausted looking cheetah. Mai was NOT about to miss out on a chance to socialize.

Getting up, he moved over, curious. "Uhm...dinner get away?" Would explain why she was exhausted and the gazelle had looked the way it had.

Ghasia glanced up as a unfamiliar voice spoke to her, her body still struggling to regain it's breath. She managed to smile quite largely and friendly up at the male, taking in his rather odd build and unable to place his species for a moment. "Yes," she admitted wryly. "That seems to be a regular occurance with me! They just don't want me to eat them, unfortunately." She pushed herself up, still lying but no longer flat on her side. "My name's Ghasia," she introduced, pleased to have found company, even if she'd lost her food.

Mai was glad that the cheetah seemed okay, if winded. "Yes...they do seem to be rather adverse to being eaten. Perhaps one day, they'll finally see the sense in letting us eat them!" His words were joking, but not in a mean way. "A pleasure to meet you, Ghasia. I'm Maisha. Are you from around here, or a fellow wanderer?"

"Exactly," Ghasia agreed, only half joking in return. She knew she wouldn't want to die to feed another, but they were prey animals. Shouldn't they be rather used to it by now? She shook her head, dispelling those thoughts before refocusing on the male before her. "It's nice to meet you too, Maisha," she responded with a smile. "Me? Well," she paused. "Both, I suppose. I wander, but I have a home. If that makes sense." She laughed a little, returning the question, "and you, Maisha? I suppose you are a wanderer?" She had picked up on the 'fellow wanderer' comment, but perhaps he too had a home.

The leopon nodded. "It does make sense. Get a case of wandering paws now and again, than?" He wished his reason for being in the rogue lands was as simple as that. "I am indeed a wanderer. A new one, though." He'd been part of a pride not all that long ago. He...rather missed it, but he had someone he needed to find.

Ghasia nodded, agreeing with his statement. "I used to be a wanderer all the time, but I settled down, and then it just randomly happens now, when I just have to walk. I like being settled though," she said, sounding a little surprised by her own comment, before shaking her head with a laugh. She had always loved walking, but being part of a family group was always enjoyable, and it provided a security she had never had as a wanderer.

"A new wanderer? Well, how are you finding it?" She asked, perking up at the conversation of wandering. It had been a big part of her life for so long, that she was curious to see how this newly made wanderer was taking to it.

Mai chuckled, nodding. "That sounds like a few of the creatures in the pride I grew up in. They're mostly settled...but now and again they get wandering paws." He rather liked this lady! She was nice, and didn't mind the rather...well, aimless conversation. "I'm finding being a wanderer...interesting. I've met new creatures, seen new things...I miss my family a bit, but I started this for a purpose. And one day, I'll visit them again."

Ghasia smiled. "That is the nice thing about being a wanderer," she remarked lightly. "You can go where you want, and see whoever you want, whenever you like!" She gave a slightly girlish laugh, with a bright smile. She had liked the freedom of wandering, but still, sometimes it was nice to simply be in one place.

"Also, you hear some pretty fascinating stories from the people you get to meet sometimes," she added, tilting her head. "Which helps to keep you entertained for a while."

Mai nodded, smiling happily. "Yes...the freedom is nice. And the creatures I've met...their stories and faces keep me company during those times where I meet no one." He shifted from paw to paw. "By any chance...have you heard of a lake so big you can't see the other side?" He rather hoped so.
