Welcome to the Aerandir first annual V-day bash! This is a place for the Guardians of the Aerandir and their friends and family to come by and enjoy the festivities. If you have gifts to hand out for V-day, just leave them in this thread and the recipients will be able to come pick them up!
There will be some raffles for assorted plushies and minishop items, and if the bank starts working, a very special raffle!
So come on in, have a seat! This is the perfect place for a V-day roleplay! If you could, keep your OOC chitchat in ((parenthesis)) or [brackets] so we can keep this thread mainly IC!

The great room of the community center has been painstakingly decorated with pink, red and white streamers brough back from the mainland. Each available table has been covered with brightly patterned tablecloths, bright heart shaped bowls on each table containing an assortment of candies. The windows have each had big red, pink and white hearts taped to the slick surface; the hearts look like they've been hacked at inexpertly with a pair of dull scissors. These decorations are courtesy of Julian.
Bowls of punch and large plates of specially ordered appetizers, cookies, cupcakes and small sandwiches have been strategically placed around the large room. There is a small pile of festively coloured plushies on a small table in the center of the room.

biggrin It's just turned the 13th where I am!
Alyosha walked in to the main room of the center in the dead of the night, a large basket of goodies in hand. Although it had already been "hearted" by Julian and Nyxa he had a few more things to add to the fun. His trip to the mainland had been most fruitful.
From the basket he took a large, flimsy box and grabbed a handful of what was inside : party poppers. The little things were loud but hopefully not so much so as to frighten the young Aerandir.
He also brought out some lightbulbs and wandered around, fitting them to the, until now, bare bulb holders which hadn't been in use since the last group of Archaeologists had been around. He had kick started the generator into it's full power mode, thinking that perhaps, in time, he'd be able to find someone with the expertise to wire up the houses in the village. As he flicked the switch light, both white, pink and red, flooded the room. The tiny floorstanding glitterball enhanced this effect, spreading little droplets of each colour onto the wall.
Alyosha's hand grabbed for the last thing in the box and then withdrew again. Those were for later. He grinned and exited back to his quarters, having Foenix's letter to complete and to make sure Acia was ok, being as she hadn't been out of her room all day.

Nyxa, Luc and Julian wandered into the festively decorated community center. Luc wandered around on his feet, still lacking the ability to freely fly. His tail thrashed around behind him as he inspected everything in his environment.
Julian opted to check out the candy bowls and eyed the party poppers warily, his attention next caught by the glitterball that stood on the floor. Suddenly the lights were switched on, and even though it wasn't quite yet dark, little rainbows of red, pink and white soon reflected from the glitterball onto the ceiling, floor and walls. A slight smile worked at the corners of his lips as he turned to glance at Nyxa, who'd turned the lights on.
Luc eyed the specks of light with interest, pouncing on the moving splashes of color that tracked along the floor.
"I hope the others show up soon!"

Alyosha, having taken the time to lie in this morning decided that he had better move to greet any guests who might be arriving into the community centre. He quickly washed and threw on some clean clothes, picking some more "valentine like" ones for today - hoping he didn't look too rediculous- it was meant to be fun afterall.
He reached the main area of the centre to find Nyxa, Luc and a little child whom he did not know already there.
"Nyxa! Thank you so much for organising all of this, it looks so wonderful."

Nyxa waved at Alyosha when she heard him enter, clapping her hands. "Thanks! I see someone came in after me and decorated, was that you?" She dusted her hands off on her thighs and eyed his outfit with a huge grin on her face, "Festive ensemble, Aly. Very nice!" She waved towards Julian, "This is my adopted son, Julian. Dfly gave him to me." Peering around the room she looked for Luc, who'd vanished.
Luc hadn't vanished, he'd just spotted the newcomer and wanted to investigate. He batted at the end of Alyosha's scarf, tilting his head this way and that. "Waarrrk?"

A book-bag around her back, Demon stood on the streets in Cetalu. She looked at a peice of paper in her hand, somthing scribled on it. She glanced up and saw matching letters and numbers on the piece of paper on a nearby building and headed over to it.
"This must be the place!" She announced happily, and she walked up to the community centre's door.
A week previous she had gotten an invitation to a valentines bash here on the island of Cetalu, suspected to be from her friend that is helping out here. After the plane and boat ride she had arrived, and Demon knocked on the Centre's door and invited herself in. Dazzled by the lights and valentine-day colors everywhere, she did not notice that others were there.

Dragonfly had heard that Nyxa had actually planned a party, and thus Dragonfly had made her way to the Community Center. She had of course, dragged Lunar and Veins along, and Iniko had come on her own accord.
She yawned a bit, scratching the back of her head, before pushing the door open to the center.
Iniko pranced happily into the room, letting out a loud cry of delight as the beauitful colours of the richly decorated room hit her eyes. She wanted one of the hearts.
She flapped her wings relentlessly, trying to get enough lift to reach the window, and pull down one of the hearts, to no avail.
Lunar peered cautiously around the room, red wings fluttering a bit as he inched his way in. The surprising thing was that he was actually entering the room before Veins! A shock in itself...
Veins hung back, silently watching Lunar's nervous antics, and smiling softly as the other stepped into the room first. He was finally growing some courage, it seemed...
Entering last, Dragonfly gasped at the rich decorations, and grinned as she gazed around the room.
"Looks great!" she remarked, chuckling softly at Iniko's antics.

"Yeah, I picked up some things from the mainland when I went over there." He looked down at the small boy "Ahh Julian... nice to meet you" he smiled, and then looked down as his scarf was tugged on. He ginned and brushed the little Aerandir lightly off with his fingers, taking care not to get them too close the the small but sharp beak.
He turned as Nyxa walked in the doors followed by Iniko, Lunar, Veins and Dragonfly.

Following the lights to the main room, she heard voices. Inside she saw all the colors of the valentines day bash, and she saw the three people in there. She soon spotted two Gyrphons, standing by their guardians. Only seeing pictures of them before, she went wide eyed.

So... this is the island then.. Ieyasu thought to himself as he found himself in the village of Cetalu. Glancing around, he simply took in the sights of the village, before his attention centred on the largest building. Must be the village centre or something...
Deciding to check it out, Ieyasu approached the centre, hesitating only for a moment before opening the door and entering. He was greeted with a barrage of red, pink and white, with lovehearts decorating various parts of the room. There were people in the room also, he noticed, as well as a couple of little winged gryphons. Is that them..? he wondered for a moment.

"Demon, good to see you" Alyosha called out. "You too, Dragonfly" he looked at her little Aerandir who was careening around excitedly as usual, trying to get a hold of the tissuepaper hearts.
He wanders over to a table with candies at it and grabs one of the bowls, wandering round the newcomers and offering them all heart shaped candies.

"Ah! Alyosha, right?" she said as she snapped into reality. She gazed up into the lights for just a moment and then directed her attention to her back-pack, the bottom splashed with salt water. "Oh, i hope that didnt get my clothes wet!" She was planning to stay at Cetalu for a few days, It was a long ride back to the mainland and she didnt come all this way just for a couple of hours of party-ing.
Taking it from her back and setting it in a corner, she opened it up gazing inside, then shuting it back up again. "it'll be fine.."
"Are these the gryphons ive heard so much about?" She directed her question to Alyosha, although her gaze went past him to the gryphons.
