The First Fall Created It
The Others Only Made It Grow
The Last Can Break It Apart

Whoever said Hell was the creation of Lucifer’s falling was only half right. Hell was created because of Humans causing Lucifer to fall, because of their selfishness. Lucifer had been guided to Earth by God’s direction to check on how the human race was fairing. While on Earth Lucifer made friends with a human who was dying of a sickness. Lucifer seeking to save his friend gave a feather to save the man. Lucifer explained that an angel’s feather would grant one spoken wish. The man wished for the sickness to disappear and it did along with the feather Lucifer had given him. The man was grateful to Lucifer and allowed the angel to stay with him for many years until it was time for Lucifer to return to Heaven. Like any human the man was afraid of death and sought to keep the angel around to ensure his avoidance of it. He captured Lucifer and took something from the angel that was not for the man, the angel immediately fell. The ground then opened and swallowed them both trapping them forever in God’s new creation… Hell. The human now turned demon was set to rule the plane for forever and watch the souls who had done wrongs such as he had.

Fifty-five millennia have passed since the time of Lucifer’s fall and Judgment Day is upon the earth. Angels have begun to descend to the earth to prepare the human race for judgment day. At first the humans began to shape up and things began to look a lot better on earth but God never told the other angels the reason for Lucifer’s falling. As the saying goes if you don’t know history your doomed to repeat it.

One of the angels that had descended to earth made friends with a rich human who needed help. The angel gave up a feather to help the rich human reciting the old tale that it would grant one voiced wish. The human tried it finding no reason not to believe in the angel and was surprised to find that it did grant his wish. While the human was grateful to the angel he was far more devious than his predecessors and quickly seized the angel and any others he could get a hold of trapping them and making sure there was no way to get back to Heaven. The man quickly began to figure out where the angels were landing on earth and set up traps to capture them. He sold feathers to the poor and full angels in an auction to the rich. To stop the government from stopping him he wished all governments away, the world fell once more to corruption.

[X] is a rich man who has many angels that he has bought already. However he still attends the auctions waiting to see something interesting and as of yet he has been disappointed. Kai is an adolescent angel who fell from Heaven accidentally. His wings are not even fully formed yet and don’t hold the powers of fully matured angels. The man who has been capturing all the angels decides he does not want to care for Kai when other angels explain that he needs to be raised specially to gain the powers of his wings like they have. The man decides to sell Kai in the auction, without revealing that causing a certain type of pain could bring judgment day immediately. [X] Attends the auction when Kai is being sold, enthralled by the angel he buys the adolescent.

User ImageIt had been a accident he hadn't been supposed to go down to earth. He had been playing with some others of his age when he was suddenly falling. He might have been fine had he had the time to figure out where he was but that had not been the case. As soon as his feet had touched the ground something had sprung on him and he was suddenly consumed in darkness.

When he had come to the young angel was somewhere unrecognizable to him, he knew his arms were bound behind his back and his head hurt furiously. Vaguely he remembered someone yelling about judgment day and how they would bring it about but his head was too foggy for it now. He didn't comprehend anything that was going on, his mind too tired and fogged. All he knew was that he was being dragged onto something with bright lights then suddenly there was a strange pain between his wings ripping through his body and he felt his wings solidify to where a human might be able to see and touch them.

"Alright folks final auction of the night is a very new item, quite a treat. This here as you can see is an angel but if you'll note his wings are not as developed as any other angels we have sold in the past, this here is a adolescent angel." The auctioneer called out to the crowd as he stuck a wing revealing tool to the small boy's back which sent an electric shock through the boy causing him to cry out. The small angel's wings were revealed to the crowd. "This means his wings aren't quite developed yet, it also means that his feathers have no power yet so you have to raise the pretty boy. However that also means no one has dipped into his supply of feathers yet. So what do I here for this here unique little creature."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Meandering through the crowded marketplace, Ellion ignored most of the shouts coming from vendors on every side. It was his habit to come at least once a week to see what new products were on display and what was popular. As a businessman himself, he felt the need to constantly be up on the latest consumer trends.

At the far end of the endless rows of stalls was what had become one of the most successful businesses in the entire lot; angel auctions. While their feathers were prized for their powers, even a single feather could run a small fortune, let alone whole angels. However, Ellion had recently begun trading in them himself. Many of the richer men and women in society couldn't be bothered to go down to the auction themselves, and years of building a trustworthy reputation and good relations were now paying off as they trusted him to select and purchase angels for them, which he would gladly pass along for a little extra.

When he caught sight of the latest offering, Ellion couldn't help but smirk to himself. Not only was an adolescent angel a rarity, but it would be far too easy to drive the price down to bare bones. Passing through the crowd, he whispered carefully, "He expects someone to pay full price for a mere child? It's like selling a foal for a known racehorse's price! With all the work that has to still be put into it...who knows how much trouble it could be!" As his own words began to travel through the crowd, the young noble noticed a drop in interest and smaller increases between offerings.

After allowing for the customary first rounds of spectators, he called out, "Two thousand dollars!" Though it was only a few hundred above the last offer and still about a fifth the price of a fully grown angel, the rest of the crowd hesitated, muttering amongst themselves but without stepping up. Once it was clear no one else was betting, Ellion stepped around the side and waited for them to hand down his prize, counting out the proper sum from the envelope he kept carefully tucked within his inner coat pocket.

User ImageThe bidding seemed to stretch on forever the price going up slowly between the men in the crowd as they bid on the small angel who still seemed unaware of what was going on. The price suddenly halted only going up a bit more before the auction was closed. Some men pulled the small angel from the stage towards the man who had called out the final price. “And that ladies and gentlemen concludes our auction for this week." The auctioneer called out..

The small angel was slowly beginning to gain his senses about his surroundings. He was in a crowded place with lots of people that much he knew but why he was there and why he could sense other angels, adults around him he didn’t know. Had he been found and was being taken back to Heaven now? “Uh….” The small angel groaned as he tried to stand up only to have his head spinning once more.

“An adolescent?” came a sharp voice from somewhere near. “What is he doing here, on Earth? He has to go back to Heaven, if he stays here they’ll ruin him. That and they’ll bring judgment day before were ready.” There were a bunch of voices now somewhere around him in different places, he could hear them and it only seemed to make his head hurt more. “Hush, lower your voices they drugged him.” Came the sharp voice again. It was other angels around the market who had spotted him while they were with their masters.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Taking the young angel as he was handed down off the platform, Ellion held him aloft for all to see, rather than having him walk along on his own. After all, the boy seemed to be out of sorts, and the last thing Ellion wanted was to be slowed down on his way back home. Looking into the angel's barely open eyes, he smiled and said, "You look confused. I'll explain everything on the drive home, I assure you. That is, if you're feeling up to it. Honestly, I could wait all day if I had to."

As they passed by a few other noble men who had brought along angels, Ellion heard the whispers among them and even turned to look as one called out in concern. Smirking at the older angel who had first spoken, Ellion said, "How rude of you. You really think I would do anything to hurt such a precious gift? In any case, he's mine now. It's no concern of yours, so why not tag along with your master and keep your nose out of other people's business?" he hissed, bringing his face in close to the top of the young boy's head.

Continuing on his way out, Ellion was pleased to see his chauffeur still waiting for him near the entrance of the marketplace. Slipping in to the back seat with the boy in his lap, Ellion distracted himself by petting the boy's hair and twirling it around his finger. Though the angel still seemed rather subdued, he felt it would be a fine time to begin introductions. "Are you awake enough to speak? My name is Ellion Episkazo, and from this day forward, I am your new master. Perhaps as a child you do not know about the state of affairs on earth, so allow me to fill you in." For the remainder of the ride, Ellion explained what had been happening on earth with regards to Judgement Day and the angels who had already come down.

When they finally reached his large home, Ellion stepped out of the car with the boy still in his arms. "I myself have several angels, although I do not really keep them for my own interest. Rather, I house and clean them for a limited time after buying them so that I may present them to other well-off men and women who will pay more for them than I originally did. It really is a good business, and I ask that you not look too harshly on me for it. There are worse masters in this world, I assure you." Once they were inside, standing in the wide-open entrance hall, Ellion ordered a maid to prepare a guest room upstairs and to let him know when it was ready.

With nothing more pressing to do, Ellion took the young angel into his own room and sat down on the edge of the bed with him still cradled gently against his chest. "So, what about yourself? What is your name, how are you feeling...and what do you think of all this?" While he traded in angels as one might livestock, Ellion never took them for granted and understood how similar they were to humans. The current state of relations between celestials and humans was regrettable, but he had never been one to rock the boat so long as it benefitted him. Still, his new toy was but a child, and one who would need much care from the looks of things.

User ImageThe young angel still didn’t seem quite aware of things as he passed hands from the stage hands to the man who had bought him. He was glad he was being held as such because he wasn’t sure his own feet would hold him at the moment nor was he sure if he could fly down here on earth. Golden eyes focused slightly when the human holding him spoke, he could only nod agreeing to listen to the man. The older angel who had spoken first seemed unperturbed by Ellion’s hushing of her. “You humans are cruel enough to trap us I see no reason to doubt that you would corrupt one of our young to falling.” She answered harshly when she was sure that her master could not hear her.

“Maha Valeo.” The young angel called softly to the angel woman.

“Varna lema ai er.” The woman called back soothingly as she was pulled away by her master.

The young angel reached out a small hand after the woman as she faded into the crowd before allowing to fall back softly against his master’s chest. His mind was too foggy to do much more, whatever they had pricked him with clouded his mind and made him docile. When he found himself in a dark place once more he gave a soft whine only to be soothed by hands running through his hair. The young angel made it know that he was awake by shifting in the man’s lap a bit. The man was correct he did not know the state of affairs on earth and as he listened golden eyes grew wide. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing, angels unable to do their jobs because humans captured them and used their feathers.

He still couldn’t believe what he was hearing when he was brought into the light again now in a different place. The man also had angels held in his home. “Essa… Kai, my head feels foggy, can’t focus well. Want… want to go home.” Kai answered softly beginning in his native language but switching quickly to the humans knowing that he probably wouldn’t understand his language.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Smiling down at the boy with pity, Ellion said regretfully, "I'm afraid it's not that simple. In the first place I wouldn't even know how to get you back to heaven considering you don't seem to be able to fly yet, at least not with these flimsy things," he said, tugging gently at one of the boy's wings. "The second problem would be that I own you now. I am your master. I did not buy you simply so I could release you, even if you are so young. Indeed, I bought you specifically because you are the youngest angel I have ever seen here on earth. I like rare things, and I believe it will be especially interesting to watch you mature. I hope that doesn't seem too odd to you," he said, wondering what others would think if they heard him.

Continuing along the same line of though, Ellion mentioned,"I'm not sure what that woman was talking about in the marketplace, but you need not fear me or your life here. To all my angels I am gentle and benevolent, or at least I treat them far better than many others would. You especially should look forward to my good graces during your stay...you are unique, at least here on earth. Something you will notice about me is that I tend to be drawn to strange people, those who tend to stick out from the crowd. However, I should warn you; I am a just man. I will never harass you should you not give me reason to. If you do anything naughty, though, I cannot make any promises. I reward and punish everyone equally based on their actions. Please keep this in mind."

As he was speaking, the maid came in and informed him that the guest room was ready. Thanking and dismissing her, he stood with the boy and brought him into the adjacent room, laying him down carefully on the bed before taking a seat by his side. "I'm sure life here will take some getting used to, so please let me or any of the house staff know if there is anything we can do to make things more comfortable for you. Speaking of which, are you hungry? I can have something brought up here if you like. Those working the marketplace auctions have never been known for their kindness, after all..."

User Image“Other angels, the adults can send me back they know how.” Kai answered almost desperately giving a soft groan as one of his wings was pulled on. The man was right he probably couldn’t fly with his wings as they were now, at least not as high as he would need to be, it was why he needed the magic of the adults to send him back. “My… master… you mean like a teacher?” Kai questioned confused by the term. “I’m not supposed to be on earth, I fell accidentally that’s why I’m the youngest here. It is not strange to want to watch a young angel mature, at least I think not, the adults do so all the time.”

“I don’t know what she was talking about but if she knows something then another adult would too and would be able to explain it. We young ones don’t get those sort of lessons until we mature and are about to make our first trip to earth.” Kai explained. Maybe if an adult explained what the female angel had meant than the man would send him home. “I don’t understand what you mean.” Kai stated when the man spoke once more this times about good graces and strange people. He also did not know what the man meant by harass or punish meant. Did the man mean to scold him should he fail a lesson, would he be allowed to continue his lesson if he were stuck here on earth? He needed those lesson so he could mature, so he could control his magic and find his affinity.

“I am not hungry, everything feels too funny to allow for nourishment. They did something to me at that place, they revealed my wings more than once without my permission and they have made my body heavy and mind foggy. Why would they do that?” Kai questioned, he needed to understand, but at the same time he could feel exhaustion grip his body.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Oh really?" Ellion asked with some curiosity. "Well, I have a few other angels around the house, perhaps I can ask them about it," he mentioned, seriously considering it for a moment. While he certainly wanted to keep this boy here for himself, he thought about what might happen if he remained on earth. The boy was still in an important period of growth, if angels matured similarly to humans. "Can't the adult angels here on earth teach you everything you need to know? Why would it be so important to return to heaven to learn? There are certainly enough adult angels here on earth that one or more would make excellent teachers, and if that is all you require I can easily get you that. At least then I would be able to keep you here and watch over your progress myself."

Hearing the boy's acceptance of his desire, Ellion said, "That seems nice. I suppose in heaven it must be the kind of society where everyone looks after one another, regardless of family ties or relationships. There are some cultures like that here, however...they never seem to be as prominent than those like our own. That is...where almost everyone is in competition besides friends and family. But I'm sure this makes little sense to you, or is at least inconsequential at the moment," he said with an understanding smile.

Putting a hand to the boy's forehead, Ellion decided, "It doesn't seem to be an illness. If what that angel said was true, then they drugged you. as to why they would do all that stuff...the worth of an angel on the market is generally related to the size of their wings and how thick their feather coverage is, so buyers are always interested in seeing an angel's wings before they purchase them. Hence why they would have kept showing off your wings. As for the drugs, they probably give it to every angel they capture so they can transport them without resistance. Unfortunately, you are smaller and weaker than the adults that usually come down here, but they probably gave you the standard dose. In other words, they just gave you a little too much. It should wear off with time."

Finally standing once more, Ellion suggested, "Why don't you go to sleep now? Whatever they gave you should wear off by morning, and in the meantime I'll speak to some of the older angels about your situation. Goodnight," he said with a wave, not waiting for a reply. After a chat with the maid who had prepared the room, he headed downstairs and into the kitchen, where one of the angels he was currently holding was helping to prepare dinner. "Excuse me, but I need to speak with you for a bit," he said, hoping he would be able to coax some information out of at least one of the angels around the house.

((Would you mind playing the part of any of the older angels around the house we bring into the story? Since you know the mythos.))

User Image“Really?” Kai questioned surprised. “I don’t know, I suppose they would be able to teach me, they would know everything I have to learn because they learnt everything I have to.” Kai informed. “I have to return to heaven because I don’t belong here, younglings like me aren’t supposed to be on earth until we mature and have learned everything. We have to get our adult wings or we can’t return without help. Why, would you want to watch my progress?” he questioned.

“Everyone is kind in heaven, the adults always know what we younglings need and they watch after us. I don’t know anything about family ties, is that a human thing? I haven’t gotten all the way through my human studies, I had just started them.” Kai explained softly blushing at his own lack of knowledge. “If I have to stay here, will you show me the human world?” Kai continued softly, he had such a desire to learn things but the other younglings always teased him. As the young angel continued his questioning he became tired however like he had expended all his energy using his magic but he knew he hadn’t.

“I don’t understand this drugged thing, they do it too make us sleepy like when we use our energy too much? I hope it’ll wear off I don’t want to be sleepy forever and I don’t like those other humans. Our wings aren’t to be revealed except to others of our own kin and our bond mate should they be not an angel.” Kai explained yawning. The young angel shook his head to attempt to stay awake. When Ellion stood Kai looked up a bit confused. “Goodnight.” He answered softly before laying down once more wanting to sleep so desperately.

“Sir? How can I help you?” the female angel questioned when Ellion approached her. She exited the kitchen intending to find out what her ‘master’ wanted.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.As he had exited the boy's room, Ellion thought about what it might be like in heaven for the first time. From what the boy had said, it seemed as though heaven and earth were quite different, at least the part of earth he knew of. Perhaps the angels felt something akin to culture shock during their first descents, especially those who had been captured and sold. While it intrigued him that there were such vast differences between the two places despite the physical similarities between humans and angels, he quickly put it out of mind, needed to focus on the questions he had.

As the female angel approached him, Ellion said, "Thank you for coming. Before I begin, I would like to let you know that I was already lectured by another female angel in the marketplace today for what I've brought home, so you can skip that part if possible." While he knew it sounded cruel and flippant, he really had no time to listen to the same lecture twice. After all, he still had minor business to attend to that evening, and he liked to have as much time as possible to himself. "Today when I visited the marketplace, I purchased a young angel. Now, when I say young, I mean very young, he looks like an adolescent, though I forgot to ask his age. How long do angels tend to live, by the way?" he asked, having failed to do any serious research on the celestial beings despite trading in them.

"At any rate, as I was bringing him back to the car to return home, I passed several angels along with their masters, as you might imagine. One of the females said something to me that made me wonder what she meant. She said that if he remained here on earth that humans would ruin him and that we would be expediting judgement day. Do you know what she might have meant by this?" While Ellion had heard rumors that the angels had begun to descend to earth in preparation for judgement day, he had never thought too deeply about it. In his mind, even if they only had a few more days or months, he would continue on as he always had. It was the only way he knew how to live, and he would prefer to remain that way than try to prevent something that might be inevitable in any case.

Continuing, Ellion mentioned, "I was speaking with the boy upstairs for a few minutes before leaving him to rest, and some of the things he said piqued my interest. I was wondering if you could elaborate." Giving her a looking to let her know her actions were being evaluated, he began, "First off, the boy said the adult angels would know how to send him back home. Is this true? Second, he mentioned many times over the words "lesson" and "teacher," and said something about still needing to learn things. Whatever it is he needs to learn, would he still be able to learn it here on earth if I found a knowledgeable enough angel to teach him? He gave me the impression that all adult angels have gone through the same kinds of teaching."

Pausing for a moment, he added, "The boy is wearily naive. Every time I asked him something he acted as though he'd never heard half the words I was using. Even human children his age would have understood me, at least the educated ones. Are all young angels like that? It seemed as though I could never get a straight answer out of him if both our lives depended on it. Thank Heaven it doesn't."

User ImageThe female angel nodded softly when she was thanked for her approach. She was quite surprised to hear the man before her had been lectured by another of her kin. Angels were mostly reserved in their lectures, even when they had been captured the angels had sort of accepted it knowing things couldn’t happen like they were unless their lord intended it. The female angel continued to be confused until the man said that he had bought an adolescent with those words she gasped covering her mouth in surprise as her eyes widened. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing an adolescent on earth.

“We are unsure on how long we live, each of us has a duty to fulfill, if we don’t do so then we die. Those of us that complete our mission are sometimes given another but I am unsure. If you brought home a youngling than what that woman said is true earth is no place for a youngling, there are too many things here that could corrupt him causing him to fall. If he falls depending on how it is brought about then it could bring judgment day the moment he falls.” The female angel explained worriedly.

“All younglings are given a care taker in heaven. Unlike humans we angels do not have parents to care for us and raise us. The care taker sees to the younglings needs and sends the youngling to a teacher so that they may learn what they may need to fulfill their duty. All angels learn the same things but few retain all the knowledge on the surface, much of it we store away if it does not apply to our duty. We can however bring it back when we reach our next duty should we need it. Only those with the duty of teaching everything keep all they have learned on the surface. Very few of the teachers ever come to earth however.” The female continued her explanation. “If he does not understand everything you say then you do have a youngling. Angels do not begin human speech lessons until after they have acquired their adult wings, it is also why younglings are were never on earth before they would give away our existence to easily.”
