Lani'luana paused in her musings and turned her gaze to the sky, sniffing the breeze carefully. There weren't many clouds in the sky yet, but the wind was definitely picking up. A storm was on its way. Not necessarily a bad one, but there would most certainly be rain. Lani needed to find some shelter and soon.
Gazing through the tall grass, she thought she spied some trees and rock formations. She would make for them. She moved with purpose and was there just as the wind began to really pick up.
It was a strong wind and pushed against her. The smell of rain was quite strong now. She was very lucky that the rock formation was quite large. She knew she wasn't the only creature who would be using it for shelter, but she didn't see any others and only hoped she wouldn't run into anyone hostile.
She managed to find a crevice between the rocks and settled in as a light rain started to fall.

Baridi Mokovu sighed as the skies showed promise of rain and perhaps worse. He was never a fan of rain, he never like the way it made his fur cling to his body. He loved as the wind picked up however, it was comforting. It reminded him of home, the cold frosty lands and dark endless nights.
He spotted farther away a bunch of trees and rocks, they showed promise of cover from the rain. He pushed his way through the tall grass and made his way to the cover. Once he got there he scanned for a nice place, the rain had already started pouring. He quickly ran into a crevice before the rain would become to heavy and drench his pelt. He pushed his way in unaware if anyone else was in here and shook the rain off that made it onto his pelt.

Lani certainly didn't begrudge anyone else shelter from the rain. After all, it wasn't as if this was her den. It was communal property and up for anyone to use. However, she didn't like getting splattered with rain. She stood carefully, mindful of the rocks and shook her pelt out slowly. She eyed the new arrival with caution. She hadn't always had the best luck when it came to finding company.
"Hello," she said softly, so as not to startle the lion. Lani didn't think that he'd noticed her presence yet.
"I'm sorry that you have to be stuck here with me," she said with a chuckle, "But at least there is plenty of room to stay dry."
She eyed the lion carefully, wondering if he would try to attack or not. She hoped that he would merely settle down and wait out the rain with her.

Mokovu jumped the slightest when a voice spoke up, it was soft. He turned to see a brightly colored wild dog, she was quite pretty."Oh no I am sorry if I sprayed you with rain, I did not realize..uhm yea" He bashfully looked away before looking back at her as she continued to speak. "I do not mind company at all, it makes my night less plain" He said with small smile and laughter. He moved over to find a comfy spot and once he found one he settled down to lay. He looked back at her and gave a friendly and kind smile. "By the way the name is baridi Mokovu, call me Mokovu or Kovu"
He looked outside briefly and saw the rain, it didn't look like it would let up tonight. It seemed the two would be here for a while. Perhaps they would even be here overnight.
