This is a fight between Trafalgar Faust and Darina Rue and will take place in an Arena shaped after what was once Ama Fields. The field is covered in flowers with ponds of water every once in a while. There are spots were the grass and flowers grow tall enough to hide someone should they wish too. There are other spots were the flowers grow closer to the ground, making it impossible for one to hide, thus meaning it all depends on where one is located as to how well they can hide. The combatants will enter one from the south and the other from the east, a fair distance apart. So, without further adieu: Begin!

Rina stepped onto the field, looking with narrowed eyes across the feild. She had a hand on the hilt of her sword, she could not see her opponent, something that bothered Rina very much. Sighing heavily she thought to herself,
"What am I even doing here?" She eyed the tall grass. Rina had hunted enough to know that it was a perfect place for one to hide. She watched the grass ripple in the soft breeze, nothing unusual, but certainly her foe would have a light enough step and sense enough not to be that obvious. Or perhaps he would not focus on stealth. Waiting made her uneasy.
She drew her sword and crouched low to the ground amongst the tall grass, awaiting the fight that was about to come. She was not much of a strategical thinker, but in this moment of calm before the storm, her mind was wracked with old fights she had been in, moves she could do...yet...she knew inside that her fighting style was much more of an "in the moment" deal...a thought which made her smile. ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± "I wanna know the answers No more lies"

TRAFALGAR FAUST I will never falter I'll stand my ground
Entering the arena, and being engulfed in the sunlight that basked the field in its light and warmth. His pale blue, almost white, eyes squinted as they adjusted to the circumstances. Even thought it appeared that he was wearing a layer of eyeliner around his eyes, this wasn't the case. That was just the way his face was, but he didn't mind. The patch of grass that he currently stood in was barely enough to cover the bottom of his boots. As the wind picked up, the scents of the many flowers, and his opponent, were scattered in the air. A smirk appeared on his face and then he yelled "Miss, are we actually going to do this to the death?" He was aware of her gender because of her natural scent.
Trafalgar was wearing his traditional line of clothing: black boots, black pants, and a black trench coat. His shaska was sheathed and at his hip, and his hands in his pockets. This was the naturally relaxed mood that he had, this was the calm before the storm, this was before he let himself loose. He waited for a response, but turned and faced her general direction.

Rina said nothing, by speaking, her opponent made the direction of his location clear. However, the fact that he knew of her gender puzzled her. How did he know? Perhaps he had seen her before this. She shook the thought from her head, her fingers clenched around the blade. Was she to make the first move?
She crept close to the ground, slowly towards the direction his voice came from. Certainly, she wouldn't have to remain in stealth for long...she could feel the throbing in the back of her knees from being in such an awkward position. She was half tempted to just give up the stealth and simply take him on with a loud battle cry. However, one lesson her father had always taught her, a lot can be told about the results of a fight simply by the first move.
Her sundyed brown hair fell into her face in the breeze, she had cut it short with her sword making it choppy, she made a mental note that she needed to cut it again or it would hinder her. The pain in her legs and Rina-like impatience caused her to slowly began to stand, squinting to see if she could see her opponent.
To her luck she could see him, a figure dressed in black. Luckily he did not look as though he were ready to strike. Her fingers did not relax on the blade, but she relaxed a bit inwardly. At least she knew she would not be getting caught off guard right away.
"Well...I didn't plan on killing you, but I suppose that depends."
She smiled slyly, mischievously even. She was confident she could win this fight...so why not play around a bit?

TRAFALGAR FAUST I will never falter I’ll stand my ground As the scent grew closer and closer, Trafalgar was partially worried. No, not about the fact that he could possibly have been killed in a single stroke, but more so in regards to not having any limits set on him. The only lives he actually desired to take were those of the citizens of Ilquint, everybody else could be killed, but in all honesty, that would be something he would like to avoid if possible. A couple feet now separated the two of them, and he had yet to even touch his weapon or twitch a muscle.
The girl popped up from the grass and said something about his life potentially being on the line. That was all that he really needed to hear, he would act like this was a fight to the death and lives would be spared on a whim at the last moment. That sly smile of hers somewhat annoyed him, the battle had not even begun but she was already confident that she could win. ”What exactly does that depend on?” he asked the brunette in front of him while releasing his scabbard from his waist, now holding it within his left hand which clearly bore the three rings of his friends. ”Wait a minute” he said with a grin appearing on that pale face of his, “You aren’t on your period are you? I really don’t want my life hanging on the line depending on your mood swings.” He already knew the answer to his question, but was just trying to get underneath her skin.

Her fingers became white-knuckled on the hilt of her sword,
"You going to fight me or is your weapon as sharp as your intellect?"
She waited for his response, she didn't like this guy. He was too calm and it irritated her. Rina hated to be irritated above all things. The jewels in the hilt of the sword gleamed in the light of the midday sun, as if it were ready for what was to come. She swung her sword from her left side back to the right, as if testing out the weight of it, warming up for a moment. She was ready, she was looking forward to beating this guy...wipe that ridiculous grin off his palid face. ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± I wanna know the answers No more lies"

TRAFALGAR FAUST I will never falter I’ll stand my ground
((OOC: It’s all good, I’m sorry I think I’m the one not giving you enough to work off of.)) It seemed as if his words hit a sore spot, either that or this girl was just a tad bit hot headed. Even though she was angered she had not chosen to strike, Trafalgar thought that was actually quite remarkable, it meant she was not completely controlled by her emotions. ”Thanks for the compliment! But I think this thing is a tad bit more dull, lets compare it to you.” Once again, using his tongue like a spade, trying to get under skin.
Even though neither of them had actually made a physical move, the chances were that they were already battling each other. The first move in any fight is critical, and right now they, or at least he was, baiting one another. Normally during the raids, there would be little to no resistance so this part of fights was actually handled in a blitzkrieg fashion but Trafalgar was highly opposed to such methods, saying that they were no fun. ”If you’re in such a rush, lil missy, then come at me” his remark was based on the size difference between the two combatants.
Let’s see who will reveal their hand first. Trafalgar had one or two aces up his sleeves, and that was part of the reason for why he didn’t want to be the one to move first. He was not willing to lose any upper hand that he might have had, and with him being the taller person he most certainly did have a fair bit of advantages working for him. As she practiced her swings, his eyes analyzed her movements, and he noted that she was fairly familiar with that blade.

A voice in the back of her mind was telling her that he was merely edging her on. He was waiting for her to take that first move. But Rina often ignored that voice in the back of her mind. What good was it anyways? "That's it....as you wish, but you'll regret it." She growled trying to keep her voice even but she was sure that he could hear the irritated tones underlying in her statement. She ground her teeth and gripped her sword. She then rushed forward, tired of waiting. She loved the rush of adrenaline once in the heat of battle. She launched forward off her left foot into a small leap, thrusting her sword in his direction. She figured this could be easily blocked but it was enough to get the ball rolling. ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± I wanna know the answers No more lies"

TRAFALGAR FAUST I will never falter I’ll stand my ground
((OOC: Linkin Park lyrics correct?.)) Finally! The emotions got the best of her, she ignored her reasoning and rushed him. It was just what he wanted, but for some reason or another the first move was quite basic: a simple lunge. He side stepped and watched as the blade was driven right by him. Lunges are meant to pierce and therefore have to be traveling in a straight line he remembered some mental notes that he had made. He was far from being a master with sword, but what he did know was enough to get him by when it came to weaponry.
Trafalgar touched his left hand upon the blade, switching his shashka into his other, the sound of his metallic rings clashing against the metal of the sword. One word came out of his mouth, ”Amusing”, but the way he used it could be interpreted to have many meanings. To take a peak into his mind, he was commenting on the ornate decorations of her jeweled weapon and how something so dazzling could be so deadly. He was a tad bit confused, and lost in thought as well. He just couldn’t figure out why she had chosen to begin with a lunge, a sweep would have been better, but then an idea came to him: she was just warming up.
Trafalgar really hoped that this was the case, if not then the fight would be little to no fun. He chose not to retaliate to her motion, still not completely acknowledging the fact that she was his opponent, still not believing that she was a threat to his existence. This calmness would probably cost him an injury in the future, but if it was to continue angering her, he would continue until the point in which he was satisfied with her movements.

I originally had planned Rina's quotes to be "angry at your dad" music, but I was much more fond of Linkin Park. biggrin }} She smiled despite herself, this guy just showed he had some brains. Perhaps he wasn't just all bark and no bite. She gripped her sword and turned quickly, she quickly wiped the smile off her face.
She didn't rush forward again, Rina knew better now. He was smart, obviously. Certainly he would have to be this day in age. Although Rina hated how calm he was, she rolled her eyes and forced herself to be calm, perhaps she could also play his game? She would try to keep her senses again, maybe get him off guard thinking that she would find a lunge to be her best move. She walked forward at a nimble pace, then stopped a few feet before him.
She stood in a duel position, her body paralel to her enemy, her sword in her right hand. Rina decided that this would be better, more effective, if he were to be forced into making a move, instead of waiting for her to move. She had done this many times with her father in the past, but it had been so long. This gave her time to size up her opponent, although she didn't see much. She never quite understood how to tell weaknesses and strengths. Which was probably why her attacks seemed always so random, a Russian Roulette of a fighting style.
"Alright wise-guy, show me what you got." She smirked, confidence in her voice, "En guarde"

TRAFALGAR FAUST I will never falter I’ll stand my ground
((OOC: Linkin Park's older material was better than their most recent release, or at least in my opinion)) As she moved away from him, probably not liking somebody touch her bejeweled sword, his eyes stayed on her and a sudden spark of interest being shown within them. She had regained her composure, no longer just relying on her instincts. A few feet was all that stood between the two combatants, the only difference, between now and what happened a few minutes ago, being that he was the one being provoked. "Very well, madame" he said, announcing that he will be making his move.
Marco switched his sheathed sword back to his left hand, and placed his right upon the handle of the sword. His eyes turned feral for a fraction of a second before a grin appeared on his face. Taking a few steps forward, he unsheathed his sword but in a manner that would cause a horizontal swing out towards Rina, and then taking another step forward he swung the wooden scabbard at her as well in a follow up attack. His body all moved simultaneously, just like the various parts of a factory, all working towards the final product. The Lilith member just revealed one of his secrets, he was ambidextrous.

Rina was impressed with the way his body moved, as if not hindered by a weaker side. That was when she realized, he may not have a weaker side. She had never fought someone who didn't have any weakness in their left or right sides. Rina really didn't have much time to think about her next move. His follow up attack with the scabbard had hit her so it stung a bit. A reminder that this was a real battle, not just an imaginary duel.
She swung her sword but still kept it close. She lightly moved even closer to her enemy, keeping him on close guard. Rina went for some quick cuts with her sword. Rina enjoyed quick actions as opposed to long, time consuming moves. ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± I wanna know the answers No more lies"

TRAFALGAR FAUST I will never falter I’ll stand my ground
((OOC: Definitely true, I think they are just giving into whatever the mainstream wants)) Trafalgar was not in the slightest bit surprised that she had managed to block his blade, something he would have to fix, his unsheathing was not the fastest out there. The scabbard served its purpose, but then he was caught off guard. Despite the pain that would have surely traveled through the girls body, she came at him. Within his mind he came to the assumption that she was a veteran fighter.
Like a storm that continues to pour down rain, her sword strikes were quick and relentless. His eyes were not able to keep up with them, and as such he had to rely on his animal instincts and the reflexes that came with being part feline. Blocking with either the sword or the scabbard, avoiding when possible, and trying to scan for opening to break her stance. With all the multitasking it was no wonder about what happened next: he was pierced shallowly.
He parried away the blow and glanced down at his left bicep and noticed that the blood was seeping through the black material of his coat. The pupil of his eyes changed, but this time did not revert, and Trafalgar let out a roar! This was not the a growl or a bark, but the legitimate roar of a fierce beast. The animal within him seizing control of his body at the sight of his blood. Calming himself, and taking deep breaths, he silenced himself and changed back to normal. "Sorry about that" he said to her, apologizing over the fact that he lost his head for a moment.

"The Announcer" Coming soon to a an arena near you! "Ladies and Gentlemen! I am happy to announce not only my return --after a long and well deserved vacation-- but also..." A pause, "The arrival of a new arrival to the shores of Lagrima, and a unique outsider who is joining us for this fight!
Welcome, to this arena, Frank E. Stein and Kadel Idiolance! Frank, Kadel, today you two shall be fighting in a rather unique arena.. While the fight shall be placed indoors, you shall find yourself in a large room --approximately the size of a football field-- that has been designed to look like a meadow at night. Scattered across this meadow are various sabres which are made of real steel and fully functional. What makes this arena more unique are the stone arches. Upon stepping through one of these pillars you shall be teleported --randomly-- through another.
Without further ado... let the match... Begin!"

The field of battle... was an usual sight to Kadel. It wasn't often he fought in such a unique place, and he had been around enough to have gotten his fair share of unique places. This was took the cake though. The night cast meadow was littered with various blades, and should Kadel have been in the art of using sabers he would have loved the field. Kadel relied more on thrusting with his rapier like blade more than slashing, as a saber was used for though. Still, all in all it wasn't that bad. At least weapons were readily available should he need them.
"I love it!" Kadel simply glanced over at his companion and gave a light smile as she looked around like a puppy who had just arrived at a new home. She looked excited, and if Kadel didn't know her, he'd say she'd been excited for the fight. That wasn't the case. Ilithien had argued with him about doing this, but it was mainly for training for Kadel. Plus, he wasn't worried about dying. Unless his opponent was insane, which was possible, Kadel figured he could probably just give up and save himself the trouble of getting murdered should the time come. Hopefully Ilithien had the common sense to stay out of the way rather than running straight into combat. "It is nice, I'll give you that." Kadel responded softly.
Kadel and Ilithien made their way through the meadow in relative silence, the only real reason they were making any noise came from Ilithien's ooh's and Aah's as she examined just about everything she passed. Kadel smiled as they went, enjoying the fact that she seemed to be drawn to just about every object that littered the field, even if some of them looked identical to others, and she reacted in an identical fashion to the same blade design. Ilithien didn't use any weapons, hence her fascination with them, which was also why Kadel slept with his swords right next to him to keep her away from them. She was almost a kleptomaniac when it came to some things. "Got you." Kadel did even bother to turn around as Ilithien jumped onto his back wrapping her arms around his neck and holding on as he continued walking. She was weird sometimes.
"Are you trying to tire me out before my fight?" He asked without so much as glanced at her arms. To no surprise, he reached down and linked his arms beneath her legs to help support her while she hung from his back. Apparently, this was a normal thing, but so far what had been normal about the pair that had entered the arena? Particularly since only one of them was actually there to fight. The other was only there because she had argued her way in. "Hm, maybe. That or I'm tired." Ilithien responded. Kadel shook his head slightly as he continued on his way through the meadow, looking for his opponent. Ilithien could certainly be bothersom at times. ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤◢ ◣◥ ◤ 'People don't usually fight to kill'
