F'ren, for all his bluffs and flirting, had NOT been ready for this day. His head was a muddle of confusion, lust and rage, most of it, not his own.
He'd been taught how to spot the signs, to notice the glow, the increasing agitation she might feel, with the easy going Toulonth though she seemed to want to keep it to herself until the last minute, so she wouldn't worry Hers.
The fist scream of a lusty green broke F'ren out of his chores, it took him a few moments to realise that the feelings flooding him, were Toulonth's, not until he realised the emotions seemed to be a million times stronger than any other flight he'd experienced before.
Toulonth on the other hand, hadn't been her usual self for days, she felt torn between her body's natural instincts and the desire not to worry or stress her rider out but finally she could no longer resist, she seemed to be a completely different dragon, teeth bared, snarling at any other dragon she considered too close for her liking as she dived down into the feeding grounds and blooded her first kill. A few herdbeasts later she screamed and shot into the sky, twisting and turing already, daring the males to come and get her.

Rising dragon generates set amount of numbers
Chasing dragons will roll to match numbers.
First to match all the numbers of the rising dragon wins
During this time RP is not optional.
Each post must have an action in it
The rising dragon does not roll again, but will make an action post of her own after each contestant has rolled

Seemed that another green was rising. Now was his chance! Lifth waited until Toulonth launched herself into the air to chase after. The Flight was on!

S'kor had rather been expecting this for a time. With the other greens begining to rise it and his dragon rumbling in the back of his mind, he knew that his old bunkmate would soon rise. He had really asked if Scarath needed to chase her. S'kor would not want to find out what happens if Scarath happened to catch her.
I would be rude of me not to chase her Mine. They had been bunkmates. So when Toulonth, glowing, headed down to the feeding ground Scarath went down as well. He hummed as she screamed and bared her teeth. When she took to the sky the bronze took off after her.

It itches! Why won’t you rub harder? The blue keened pathetically and arched his wing higher, giving more access to the skin at his shoulder.
Because you’re flaking enough as it is. I think you’ve scratched at it enough in the space of a night for both of us.
V’al, who was more comfortable speaking to his dragon now mentally than verbally, gave his reply in a calm tone. Lerath was a busy sort, spending all his energy finding the answers to the endless questions his brain produced, and the constant answering and explaining had made V’al better at communicating.
Something about the responsibility had made him more self-assured and calm – at least until a green’s cry tore through the hot Trine air. Lerath stiffened, then shifted, pulling away from the oily rag in V’al’s hand and launched himself into the air, indifferent to his itch.
V’al stared after as the blue surged after the forming cloud of males, then threw his rag down. Do you have to chase them ALL? he demanded, but there was no answer of course.

She's flying! Linnaeth pointed out, with an degree of volume that was -entirely unnecessary-, at least in S'in's mind. I'm going to chase. That's alright, right?
Linnaeth asked, though S'in could tell that his partner was already airborne even as he asked.
You already are. Is this the theory that it's easier to ask forgiveness than for permission?
Well... it could be... Linnaeth sounded amused, though the current of seriousness kept S'in's response to a thin smile, instead of the laugh he might otherwise have given at the brown's surprising impertinence.

Toulonth roared, Males... after her, this was good. She turned almost on a wingtip to wing above and past them, the other way. Toulonth was feeling a little smug, they weren't as fast as her! .. that was until she had to swerve to avoid a Brown, she screamed again and wheeled off once more, narrowly avoiding being caught by the speedy Brown.

Scarath wondered if she was going to be difficult to catch. She was fast to start off but nearly swerved right into a brown. He flapped his wings to follow her course. As large as he was, he couldn't turn quite nearly so quickly, but on the other wing his size made for a little bit.

Lerath’s heart leapt as the brown nearly crashed into her. Would it be over? So quickly at that? No, she’d escaped, and he mirrored her artful change of direction some distance below her. He was maybe one of the more ridiculous competitors with oil dripping and running down spots on his hide, but he was doing well. He had only to climb to catch up with Toulonth, dodge around those larger males, and then, and then….

He was exceptionally pleased with himself, one of the last in the air and he'd come closer than most, though her swerve away from him had nearly put her into the claws of another. Even if he didn't catch her, there was plenty of reason to be proud of himself.

So many competitors! Lifth did not make a loud fuss as some of the other, but did try to step up the pace a bit. He was determined to win this one.

Touloth was forced to recover as an air pocket popped beneath her, causing her to drop a little and nearly getting caught by a few other dragons.
NO! not so soon, she forced her body faster, flapping her wings hard to maintain her greater speed.

Toulonth was quite a bit faster than he had remembered. It was going to be quite a challenge to catch her before the other males did.

Lerath thought the plummet was intentional and gave a hard pull of his wings, pull him himself up and more directly under her. He twisted, half thinking she meant to cut through them and hoping to catch her, but she leveled once more and he recovered swiftly, resuming the race.
