Waa'sesere was poised to strike, a needle in her mouth, teeth clamped firmly around it. She always found needle-craft so awkward, it was just hard to do with awkward paws and jerking motions because she just couldn't find the rhythm to the stitches. As she leant forward, poking the sharpened bone needle through the hide of the rabbit skin – already removed from it's meat- she growled to herself as the needle refused to pierce the pelt. Spitting out the needle, she pushed aside the pelt with an irritated scowl.

She was craft-challenged, she knew, but she was nothing if not determined. So needlecraft was not for her, perhaps jewellery making was, or mask making. There were plenty of options...which she was fast depleting. She was dedicated to craft, but craft didn't appear to like her.

She pushed herself to her feet, the adolescent stretched, her bones creaking as if she was older then she was simply because she'd stayed still for far too long. It was painful to be so still. She stifled a yawn and peered at the sky, wondering where her day had gone. Had she really spent most of it staring at needles and hides? She shook her head and began to move slowly, stretching her legs with a slow walk. For a moment, she wondered if she should seek out her mother, ask her assistance with the crafting, but she shook her head. No. She'd do it on her own.

She just needed a little break. Just a small one. She nodded, and fastened her pace, enjoying how her muscles no longer seemed to ache.

A quiet, uneventful morning did well to set Krioni on the prowl for some fun and entertainment. Heck, just about anything or anyone to catch his attention, to draw his interest. If it seemed things were just quiet today, the springy cheetah would probably hit the roguelands to engage in some merriment or mischief, perhaps both.

At present, he lie sprawled on his back, tail swishing almost irately about. With a small snort, Krioni rose to his paws, shaking himself out. A cloud of fine dust felt to the ground around him. Where to go? Who to see? While walking, he caused a few birds to start from the long grasses. It was a brief distraction, but he did delight in the few moments of chase they gave him. When they were out of reach, he slowed to a stop and sighed. Perhaps there would be other birds around.

Dipping himself into a half crouched creeping stance, the spotted male moved along, alert to whatever may come. A rustling of grass drew his attention. Raising to his full height, even pausing to sit up on his haunches for a moment, Krioni spotted a young lioness nearby. Oh, she looked sort of like Rags, perhaps a daughter. "Hello there!" He called, hopping a few steps before moving to jog along side. "What are you doing? Hunting? On an errand? I can help, if so. You're, uh, one of Rag's daughters, yes?"

Waa'sesere startled as the male cheetah approached her, having not recognised him for a moment, but soon coming to realise he was just another member of the pride. She didn't know how personally, but she had seen him around. He was so...bubbly. It was odd.

She blinked at his questions, all said together giving her no time to answer until he finally paused. "Hullo," she greeted him, her voice quiet and while not welcome, it was not dismissive either. "No, I'm just...walking. Stretching my legs and trying to find something to entertain me rather then crafts," she explained, before nodding. "And yes, I am Rags' daughter."

She hesitated, before offering her name. "Waa'sesere," she told him. "I'm afraid I don't remember your name, sir?"

The cheetah briefly flicked his ears back and dipped his head in apology for obviously startling the other. He flashed her a bright smile and straightened himself up again. Perhaps this girl would help keep him entertained.

Krioni either hadn't noticed the tone of the young lioness' greeting or he didn't really care to mind it, he bopped his head with each answer before letting a frown pull at the corners of his mouth for a short moment. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Waa'sesere, daughter of Rags! Your mother is quite nice." At least, she had been so with him. First impressions had a way of really sticking with him. "That's quite alright! I don't think I've given to you before," He said with a warm laugh after making a little face at being called 'sir'. "My name is Krioni! Or Kri, if'n you prefer that. I'm fine with many names. I'm not near formal enough to be called 'sir' though. Do you have any nicknames? If not I can see if I can make you one."

His tone shifted to something slightly more serious, but nonetheless still energetic. "I say! This sore lack of entertainment simply won't due! You can go back to your crafts later. With each others help, I'm sure we'll find something to do." Apparently it hadn't dawned on him that the other might want to be alone to pursue whatever she wished and, as such, he didn't bother asking. "I was chasing some birds a little bit ago. That was quite enjoyable. Swimming could be good. Fishing too. What do you like to do, other than crafty things anyway?"

Waa'sesere nodded her head at the comment of her mother. Rags was nice, or so she'd always thought. She'd always been fond of her mother. She was glad to hear that he had never given her his name, else she would have felt weird about having forgotten it. "A pleasure to meet you, Krioni," she said formally, not using his nickname. She had never really interacted with the pridal members much, and was a little awkward. Was she supposed to use his nickname straight away? Or wait until they knew each other better? This was all odd. "Ah, no," she said, looking confused. "I have only been called Waa'sesere before. Do I need a nickname?" It wouldn't improve her crafts, having a nickname, so she wasn't quite sure why she'd need one, but if he thought she did...

He was so energetic. She was almost tired just listening to him speak. Entertainment did sound good though. Listening to him list his activities, she tried to think of something other than crafts that she did, and drew a blank. "Crafty things," she concluded. When she wasn't crafting, she was...well, crafting. She had to practice a lot, since her skill didn't come natural to her, but rather the result of lots of hard hours put into craft. "And walking," she added, almost as an afterthought. Was that an activity? Not nearly as fun as crafts, but other than eating and sleeping, that basically summed up her days.
