Prologue to my story
Called Hansha Mahono

The rain was coming down like an atrocious whip and lightening flashed across the black velvet sky. Drops of icy water were violently slashing onto the young girl who was running for her precious life. Rocks were tearing her bare feet and branches slashed her blue tattered dress to ribbons while she fought the urge to stop and just die. Tears blinded her and mingled with the harsh rain that ran down her face.

The faint barking of dogs and shouting of soldiers were muffled by the cracking of another roaring thunderbolt. The little child was too frightened to even look back to see how far her pursuers were. All she could think about was to run and hide from the horror that might become of her.

As she jumped over a rotting log on the broken path, she tripped and rolled painfully down a steep hill. Freezing cold water met her at the bottom and was engulfed by darkness. Fighting desperately against the current, she breached the surface of the river and swam to the riverbank. Gasping for air, she crawled away from the artic waters and looked up towards the hill's edge. Dogs were barking madly and once she saw the outline of the soldiers, she painfully got on her feet and continued to run.

When she barely had any strength left in her to escape any longer, she came upon a cave. Once she was inside, the sounds of the outside were quieter, but she knew the danger was far from over. She fell to her knees, trying to stop herself from trembling in fear and exhaustion. She then looked around for any refuge she could have. Looking towards the farthest corner of the cave, a flicker of blue light caught her attention. Wiping her eye, she crawled towards the brightness. It was coming from behind a small boulder and once she managed to push it aside, she saw a stone stairway leading deeper into the abyss of the cave. She thought of turning back, frightened by what she may have to face, when the shouts from the soldiers reached the entrance to the cave.

- Where the HELL did she go?!
- She mustn't have gone far!
- Hey boss! The dogs have a lead!
- Good, let's go. She must not escape! You know what Monoko said. If she gets away, it's our heads!

Fear once again shot through her as the noises were coming closer. Her only way of escape was down. She crawled down one step and then pushed the small bolder back in place. She put her back against the solid rock and prayed that they would not see the flicker of blue as she had only a few moments ago. She carefully went down the stairway and as she did, the air felt cooler on her tear streaked face than it was outside.

When she finally got to the end, the light was so bright; she had to cover her eyes. Once her vision had adjusted, she attentively looked around and saw that the glimmer was coming from a gigantic crystal in the middle of a fountain.

The fountain was magnificent with roses dangling on the side and when she approached it, she noticed that it was made of pure white marble. Designs of dragons were sticking out from the sides and she saw that the roses were circling them as though they were a part of the art. Water jets were spraying the crystal making it shine more than it already was.

Looking into the fountain, she could see the clearest water she had ever encountered in her life. She plunged her hands in the cold liquid and drank until her thirst was quenched, and then she washed her face that was full of mud and dried blood from the scratches that she had gotten from the branches. That's when the searing pain came up to her mind. She looked down and also noticed that her feet were badly cut and bruised. She looked around and cautiously climbed onto the edge of the fountain. She sat down and slowly put her feet into the water to numb the pain. She was thinking on how bad she felt about soiling the water, but it could not be helped. When she thought nothing else could happen, a blinding light flashed and it blinded her as she fell to the ground in surprise.

When it subsided, she glanced around in alarm, climbing back to her feet ready to run from anything that might harm her. She was waiting for the searing pain to return, but none came. She looked down at her feet and saw, with disbelief, that the wounds had completely vanished. She looked at her hands and face in the water and they too were healed. Only her dress was the remaining memory that she had not just dreamed everything. She stared at the fountain in wonder and that's when she noticed that there was a gold shimmer in the center of the crystal. She sat on the edge of the fountain once again and slowly put her feet back in the water. When she didn't get anymore flashes of light, she stood up and drudged between the water jets to get closer to it. She then held her hands up and touched the surface of the blue lighted object, being careful not to touch the spiky areas that looked as though they could pierce anything in seconds. Once her gentle fingers touched one of them by accident, her hands went right through the surface. She pulled them out quickly and screamed in surprise and fear. The shout echoed throughout the cave and horror shot through her once again. She tightly clenched her eyes shut and listened for anything that might sound suspicious. Had the Soldiers heard the sound?

She stayed in that position for a few minutes and when she hadn't heard anything alarming, she slowly reopened her bright green eyes and a faint cry of relief seeped through her tiny lips. Remembering what had happened; she brought her hands up to her face and was glad to see that they had not been harmed. She looked at the golden object once more and reached for it with shaky movements. Her hands went through the crystal once again and knowing that she would not get hurt, she grabbed the object with both hands. Taking a deep breath, she clenched it tighter and then pulled it out.

Looking at it more closely, she noticed that it resembled a key. She looked at it under every angle and was fascinated by how the gold seemed to shine like the crystal was. Both ends were bent in a shape of a slim crescent moon that weren't facing the same way and in the center of one of them, four thin golden wires were holding a tiny red gem. She also saw that there was some type of runes engraved on the side of the key and when she looked at it more closely, she remembered that she had seen it before in one of her great grandfather's old books.

Flash back

- Great grandfather? What is this writing?
- Ah my dear. It is an old language from ancient times. Not many know it.
- May I learn it?
- Hmmm I'm not sure...
- Please great grandfather?
- Alright then. But you have to promise that you will not utter a word to anyone that I am.
- I promise.

Laughter then back to Present

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she remembered her family. Had they survived? What will become of her now? She closed her eyes and tried not to cry again. When she reopened them, she tried to remember the runes she was taught and read the key's message out loud.

"Oh almighty one, once you are awakened, you shall find the one you seek to help vanquish the evil within. All ye who read this shall unlock the legend of Hansha Mahono"

Bewildered by what she read, she stared at the key with growing unease. That’s when it became brighter and her eyes blurred. She looked away from it and saw that the crystal was glowing profusely as well. Her eyes grew wide at the site that was before her. The long spikes were bending and then the whole crystal melted and mingled with the clear liquid of the fountain. She quickly held her arms in front of her face, still clenching the key with her shaking fingers, as another blinding light flashed throughout the cave and a huge gust of wind knocked her to the ground. Gasping for breath, she painfully lifted her head.

Floating at the top of the fountain stood a young humanoid fox like creature. Its eyes were closed and he seemed to be sleeping. It was wearing a velvet maroon gown and it hid the hands and feet. Designs of the same runes were printed on the end of the sleeves in the same golden color as the key. On its forehead, there was a V shaped bandana with a red stone in the centre. She saw that its fur was the color of fresh fallen snow. This being frightened her. Tears spilled from her eyes once again and he brought her hand up to them and whimpered.
- I want to go home. Mommy? Daddy? Where are you? I don't want to run anymore! I want to go home!
- You may not go back young one for there is no place to go back to.

She opened her eyes in terror and looked around. The sound of the voice had not only come from one place, but from everywhere! She felt the tone in her heart, soul, and mind all at once. She then thought about the creature. Sniffing, she held the key closer to her heart.

- What do you mean?
- (It spoke with his mind) Behold and you will find the answer you seek.

It slowly lifted his head and opened its eyes. They were the same color as the crystal had been and that made her wonder what this creature was. Where had it come from? It lifted its hand up in the air and the emerald earrings she had only noticed now started to glow. The liquid quickly rose all around him and quickly turn into bright blue flames. In the centre of the blazing mist, an image started to appear. She saw a village, her village, being burned to ashes. People were running all over to try and find a place to hide. Screams of agony were heard over the roaring of fire that was spreading from one hut to another. Swords were plunged in anyone that was in their path and fear could be felt throughout the village. The young girl, desperate to save her family ran towards the image only to be brutally stopped by an invisible barrier. She pounded the barrier with her little fists and screamed for her mother. Tears rolled down her cheeks. The image faded to reveal a site that she would remember for the rest of her life and she could not bare to see. Hanging in the trees were dozens of villagers including her own family. She fell to her knees and clenched her eyes shut.

-Enough! Please! Don't make me see any more!

The flames turned to water once again and the fountain returned to it's original form. She looked at him with painful stinging eyes.

-Who are you?

-I am the guardian of the eternal key.

-The eternal key? (Looking at the key in her hands and then holding it up to him) You mean this key?

-Yes. (Floating down towards her) You have unleashed its power and have also summoned me. Only the purest of hearts can penetrate the crystal ceil without any harm. You have been chosen by the key to protect the earth from destruction.

- But how do I do that? I'm not old enough to protect anything! My big sister could! Mommy always told me that she could help anyone!
- The key has chosen you as it has chosen me. I was 7 years old like you when I found this place. The key had chosen me to be its guardian and to find the chosen one. I have been imprisoned here for 100 years now.

- But why me?!

- You have one of the purest of hearts. There are others, but only you can save the earth.

- What can I do? How can I help?

-You must accept your task that is in hand. You must accept the key's power. Seek the others. Help the earth.

She looked at the young creature and then the key. She thought of her family and of others that could go through the same fate. It glowed in her hand and she nodded.

- I will accept its power. I will accept my task.

The fox lifted its arms up in the air and its voice echoed throughout the land. Birds, mammals, fish and insect raised their heads to the sound.

-And so shall it be done. Your journey begins now.

fighting... why do we need that?
Is it something that would always come forth in everything that is life?

From small creatures as ants to bigger creatures like elephants. You will see fighting.
No matter what you do or no matter where you go, It is there biting and knashing at your heels.
You say that it will not consume you, but yet you judge the others for what they do or say and then the fighting will begin because they are different. No matter how many times you say you don't do it, you do.

Listen...is that all we need to do?
a voice... is that all we need to stop it?
Words... What should we say?

It's hard to choose a word that would not offend even the smallest creature. But words and expressions is what we live with. we have to do something to interact with people don't we?
But why does it lead to fights?

I believe greed can be a big factor in this. People who want everything and not give in return. People who don't care about others and how they feel.
Maybe this thought is all in vaine. Maybe we should just let it go...

But we can't. There are still people like us that want to help others; That want to make things better. We can't give up over the others who are so blinded by greed and that cannot look away from what they have to see what is in plain site of them.

Maybe one day we will be able to change this fighting to love. If only it would be easy. But nothing is easy. You work for what you believe in. You work for what you want in life. Why not help others while you travel the journey? Why not help eachother; for that is what we should do.

Shed greed. Shed the jelousy. Shed the hate. Be free. Be free to be there and help. Be free to express yourself in ways that makes you fell better about youself without having to put the others down.

be free...

Time... What it that? Why should time even exist.. Would the world die if it was gone? Why can't we control it?

People keep saying there isn't enough time to do anything. Is that true? Can you really say that? It's hard to say yes isn't it?

Why can't people just grasp the time they have and do something with it? Can't they just stop what they are doing, run outside and say "I have all the time in the world!" ? Why not? That is the question.

People say "oh but that's because I have places to go and things to do." Why? Why do you need to do it?

"Because of money. People need money." Why? Does money make you truly happy? What if we had all the time in the world and nothing to stop it. Would money be that important then?

"But what about living? You can't live without it" Why is that? Who decides that? What if moeny didn't exist? What would you do then?

"...." Hard to see life without money isn't it? What would happen if time stopped. And everyone was immortal.. Where mistakes could be reversed. No more war..

War... why do we need that? Is time the cause? Is time telling us we have to fight?

"No.. that is greed." But why? killing people will make things better? I don't think so. Killing only makes things worst. Killing is not the answer. but time... time will tell people that right? But how long do we have until time runs out.... Time.... such a frail thing isn't it? Yet it's there like a wall where you can't pass through. You need to live with it. So why not make the most of it?

Run. Go into nature and smell the air. Nothing there can harm you if you do not want it to. Listen to the animals and the leaves talking to you. They are. Feel the breeze on your face. So warm and comfurting. Time may take that away with war and greed and jelousy, but will you let it? Don't. Just breath in the life you have. For life is precious. Be friendly and ignore the hate. Time can't take you. Only if you let it. ...
