Lia's Parents

Personality: Gavin is a complicated sort. As a child, he was perfectly sweet, if perfectly mischievous. He liked to fly as high as he could in his dragon form, kiss his momma's cheek, sit on his father's shoulder, steal his brother's books to get his attention, tickle his sisters, and in general steal as much of everyone's attention as possible. As the eldest in his family, when his parents were killed (because his parents couldn't have died accidentally) he felt it was his responsibility to take care of his siblings. The biggest thing that needed to be done to protect them, to him, was to find their killers and make sure they could never hurt his family again. However, this was entirely against his personality. Gavin was never the vengeful, or even the violent sort. So he had to pretend he was a killer. In pretending, Gavin might've lost a part of himself, or he might have just locked it away somewhere that no one - not even his Livvy - could find.

When his parents were reborn as elves, the normally loud and extroverted young man suddenly became quiet. He never really cried, but he seemed to develop some unexplainable anger towards the king of Lynwood. Of course, it could very easily be explained by his brother, who he once pestered on a weekly basis and now rarely went to visit. Don't be mistaken, he was ecstatic that he could hug his mother again - even if she had pointed ears that she was quite enraged over. Seeing his father, though, was painful. He wanted to feel like he could tell him that he'd taken care of the family, that they were all safe and happy. But he wasn't sure if he'd done his job properly. He's slowly becoming more of himself, though - smiling more easily, not hiding behind false emotions.

Gavin is probably the happiest, most enthusiastic father in the world. Even though he and his son, Tidus, have next to nothing in common, he loves his children more than anything (right there on par with Livvy). He loves to spoil his children, buying them anything and everything that they want so long as it doesn't disrupt the order of their household, constantly taking them to the movies, the zoo, amusement parks, and out for ice cream. Despite what Livvy may think, he won't spoil Lia any more than he has tried to spoil the twins. She just happens to want much much more than they ever did.

The princess Thali and Gavin were always good friends - even if she was technically his sister's best friend. As a kid he always looked forward to seeing her as much as he did his future love interest Livvy. He, his sisters, and Thali got into loads of trouble, breaking all the rules and more than a few bones. Gavin is terribly fond of the Guardian of the woods, Drysdan, who rarely lectured him, and never gave away their location when they were in hiding from angry guards. Some people have speculated that he and Thali would've dated if it weren't for Livvy and Vate, but Gav would be disgusted by the idea. Lia, however, delights him. He takes to her like he took to Mali when she was little, except that Lia seems to bring out his mischievous side as well as his doting father side. He is all but oblivious to his wife's feelings toward Lia, but will be determined to fix things as soon as Lia speaks up.

Name: Alivia “Livvy” Reinel Kantor
Race: Woodland elf
Gender: Female
Status: Married!
Personality: Alivia is an awkward elf. Her parents mysteriously disappeared when she was very young, leaving her older brother struggling to care for her until Averi and his wife saw fit to welcome them into their home. This may have caused the troubles she had in the future. Alivia, though often kind, can be cold and distant. Especially towards her younger sister, Thali. The elf was firmly convinced that it was her right to be ruler; and the infant princess, upon being born, had stolen that right from her. It wasn’t fair! Their mother had been said to be unable to carry children to term. Why the sudden change? Why did people focus on Thali?

Alivia did eventually get over the rivalry. Or, she became a better actress. She seems to be able to build relationships well; especially those close to Gavin. She enjoys spending long hours with him and the rest of her family.

Well. Except Lia. Talia’s arrival seems to sparked the dying flame in Alivia’s struggle with sibling rivalry. She seems jealous of the attention Lia receives; she hides it well. In company, she will make a show of treating Lia as well as she treats any other child. She may subtly attempt to get Lia into trouble, perhaps acting as if something has upset her more than it has. She wouldn't lie, but she can make a mountain out of a mole hill. Did Lia break something? Oh, it was one of her favorite vases. Can't Gavin do something about Lia's clumsiness?
