Jin-Soo ran at a leisurely pace, his eyes taking in the white-tinted dawn past the hills on his left. On his right, a wall of trees rose from the ground, from which bird-song began to originate. Behind and in front, there was nothing more than the wide, wide grasslands, with gentle slopes and curves here and there. He was running simply for the sake of it, and, considering his size and stature, it was obvious he could have gone for a long distance without tiring if he chose to. But he had just woken, and had not been up long. He was content; the wind weaved across his mane and broke away easily against his form. Food was all around, predators were nowhere in sight, and all, it seemed, was at peace.
He looked around with awe in his eyes, curious as to why he hadn't heard of the northern lands as often as he thought he should have. He had only come here recently, raptured by the few tales he had heard of others like him -- horses in varying colors, some even with two pairs of wings, and others with horns wrapped tightly around their head like a goat's -- and he hardly believed them to be true until now, when he had seen things with his own eyes.
Slowly, he came to a halt. He was on the crest of a low hill, and tall grass was billowing in the breeze all around. He looked about and wondered how a land so plentiful and great and varied... could be so lonely.

Stumbling sleepily down the hills, a patchy stallion blinked away the sleep from his eyes. The annoying chatter of birds had woken him up earlier than he would've liked this morning, but what can he do?
Well...he had actually rammed his body against the tree as hard as he could. Sending the birds twittering off somewhere only to have them fly back again seconds later. Extremely disgruntled, he stepped out from the little den he had made himself, hoping to find sleep elsewhere; if possible. Still disoriented as he was still half-asleep, he tripped over a large tree root sticking haphazardly out of the ground. Letting out a few choice words as he tried to regain composure.

Jin-Soo looked up quickly, ears flickering nervously at the sudden sounds he heard. Something large crashed against a tree, sending the birds flying in all directions. He might have fled with them, too, for although he was without a doubt powerful, he was an herbivore, a natural prey, and he wasn't going to risk his neck in this strange land until he had seen himself what it was all about.
But he saw, too, the birds settling back, apparently at ease. He leaned down, chewing on some roots to calm himself when yet another crash reached his ears, although it sounded more like a fall. Curses soon followed and he realized with surprise that he understood them. Was this, perhaps, another soquili?
His interest piqued, he trotted over to the source of the sound, already feeling much less alone.

Straightening himself up as he tried his hardest to wake himself up, he heard steady footsteps ahead of him and noticed the scent of another. Not really ready to meet anyone this morning, he merely swerved off to the side, choosing to hide between the trees, hoping his hide was good enough camouflage. Which it probably wasn't as the trees were far apart and he been by everyone and their uncle.

Jin-Soo soon reached the origin of the noise, although what met his eyes was not what he had expected. There was no soquili here, as he had hoped for, but instead a line of trees, with one very strange, misshapen one off to the side. It seemed to have a sort of white fungus growing across its smooth bark, and even hair grew off the side! His tail flickered nervously as it always did when he encountered something foreign but, remembering his previous loneliness, he was not so easily shaken off and instead, tentatively called out "Hello?" to what part of Rajput's butt he could see, wondering if, in these lands, there were plants that were capable of talking back.

((LOL HIS BUTT))
Rajput swore under his breath, his head finally turning to face Jin-Soo and muttered an extremely bland and toneless, "Morning." he inwardly groaned. The stupid birds decided to chitter-chatter above him and now someone was trying to talk to him. Oh life. He wasn't a social butterfly to begin with, and being woken up so early in the morning didn't make him exactly friendlier either. He turned rather slowly to face the other, noting the other stallion's markings; they were practically glowing.

((RAJBB HAS A BERRY NICE ONE IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF.))
Jin-Soo pressed his lips together nervously when the plant began to mutter what sounded like curses but, at the very least, he was sure this was the source of the sound he had been looking for. He was about to inquire after the plant's health and ask why it seemed to be in such a foul mood on this beautiful day (he thought for sure all plants would enjoy days with sun) when suddenly, the head of a soquili joined it.
"M-morning!" he replied, his loud, startled voice a stark contrast to the stallion's. Now, he realized that the plant he had been talking to was, in fact, not a plant, and he flushed, glad he had not made his observations aloud (if he were a human, he would have face-palmed at the fact that he had called the white splotches on the male's side mold) or asked about the "plant's" health as he had intended.
