Amidst a bustling town square the two fighters appear, the town supports a bustling port-side economy and at least 1,000 population. to the north is a dense forest, and to the south, the sea. West leads to a towering lighthouse perched atop a high cliff. East lays the wonderful white sand beach. however there would be a good deal of walking before the fighters could escape the city.
Shimo

User Image
Bio:Shimo was not born in the traditional sense. Before he existed as Shimo in this plane of reality, he existed as a trans-dimensional being. When it was decided that this plane of existence was dangerously close destroying itself, Shimo, along with dozens of others like himself agreed to enact the procedure to anchor a physical presence in this world. the dozens of "Watcher" beings fused together, with Shimo's consciousness emerging as a result. He is unlike any being this dimension has experienced or is likely to ever experience, his body does not age, and he has walked the earth since man was young.
Abilities and Weapons:Shimo commands use of hydro-kinesis to a mind-boggling degree. as far as weapons he carries a single machete tied at his hip. Wherever he travels, clouds always follow.

Shimo
"If you lived forever, how would you see the world?"

User Image
"Such a wonderful day isn't it?" Shimo thought to himself as he handed a few coins over to the humble fruit merchant. He'd purchased a baseball sized speckled green and red apple. freshly harvested this morning and carried to the city. The marketplace was full of people, Shimo stood out with his pale blue skin, yet somehow felt contented with the ebbing and flowing of life all around him. Today, would not be a normal peaceful day, Someone would be arriving soon to take his life away. Because of this the sights and scents which normally filled him with such great joy brought him nothing.
It was around this time his mind returned to him, standing amidst a crowd, apple in hand. "It'd be best to move on." and so the soft footfalls led Shimo away from the cart and back amongst the throngs of people. He carefully flicked up the heavy dark blue woolen hood which covered his face in shadows, walking with the cloak hiding the rest of his body from view.He had no need to look out in order to see, He could feel his way via the water in the people's bodies. This technique should prevent him from standing out as much.

Eko was walking in the town square, wings covered by a black cloak. His sword stuck out, handle only, the cloak hiding it as well. His feet touched softly against the stone as he strode, carefully but aware, as if he would be attacked at any moment. His foe today was a diffrent one they told him, so he expected every possibility. His hands shook, from the excitement of the upcoming fight. It was sent his blood to boiling but he enjoyed it, in a sense.

The only problem would be finding his foe before his foe found him in the midst of this crowd. But perhaps, if one made a commotion, perhaps one would find his prey/stalker. But that was a big maybe there.

Looked at the large area of stands in front of him. He raised his hands up and shot large fireballs out of them, causing the set of stands to explode in a mushroom cloud, the owners dodging as they saw it coming. He then ran with the crowd, ditching into an alleyway and leaping to the roof, gazing about with his sharp eyes. Let the game begin.

Shimo
"If you lived forever, how would you see the world?"

User Image
With little thought or reaction Shimo, turned away as the stalls erupted forth with flames. "So my opponent is trying to find me by my reaction. Well it should be obvious who I am now. Though I can feel where he is. There's only one person standing on a rooftop." Shimo thought to himself calmly as he glanced up toward the roof where his opponent stood observing his handiwork. Every person's body contains a massive amount of water. Shimo, through application of a little effort can sense water, thus it's not all that hard to see why he could see him before he looked at him. With almost a lackluster movement Shimo raised his hand limply towards Eko his finger pointing out lethargically. And suddenly the limp hands and fingers snapped rigid calling forth several knifelike shards of ice from the inside of his cloaked sleeve. They were aimed directly at Eko, There were around three separate shards in a triangular grouping heading with good speed at Eko's chest. though since Shimo was a good fifty yards away, the chances they'd hit Eko were slim, if not for the fact that they were almost completely transparent.

Eko could hear the whistling in the air. Projectiles. He dropped into an alleyway and ran out as fast as possible, seeing his attacker. He drew his two handed sword and silently swung at the man, leaping with a downward strike.

[Ooc: Not bad. the post carried with it an attempt at attack, and a reaction to mine two key points in any fighting roleplay. the more important of the two being how you phrased your attack. Well done, length comes in time I know it's hard when you're only doing one action, though in this case it seems there were two. A retreat and an advance. Keep an eye on the number of movements per post when in a fight, it's very important. For the purpose of instruction I'm going to didssect my next response for you.]

Reaction to Eko's response
"Impressive, he sensed them coming." Shimo thought to himself calmly. He could tell he hadn't actually seen them coming by the way Eko moved as he dodged the attack, dropping out of the way. Couldn't see them clearly though he knew they were there most likely. Shiomo let the ice shards evaporate as his mind shifted from the dodge to the alleyway Eko approached from.

Reacton to Eko's attack
He was fast. In fact faster than Shimo had expected the young man drew out his blade and closed on his position, despite the groups of people between them. He was quiet too. Had it not been for the fact the alley was a clear cut path, and his ability to feel his body, shimo might not have known the direction Eko was coming from.

Dodge/Counter
However, Shimo did know the direction Eko was attacking from, which allowed him to prepare a set of ice spikes which grew rapidly from the ground at Shimo's feet two of them aimed to skewer Ekos's chest, the third aimed at the empty air between Shimo and his opponent.

Details of attack/counter
Unlike the ice from before these spiked columns were opaque and easy to see, but when fully formed would be nearly three feet at their base and tapering to a point off in the distance. These spikes are strong as regular ice, goring with startling speed, quick enough for them to be deployed effectively in battle. the third column groth would effectively block Eko's view of Shimo, or at least that's his intention.

Eko knew that the man could sense him, or at least was aware of it. The man had easily found him on the roof during the chaos meaning he had at least SOME way to sense for people. How exact that sense was Eko knew not but it would be a good thing to know.

Even as he ran though, he could feel the drop in temperature. Apparently his foe could use water or in this form, ice. Dangerous as he could use water from the air AND from a person's body. This could be troublesome. Eko thought, as he thought quickly of a way to counter, multiple scenarios rushing through his mind. Bingo.

Quick without hesitation, Eko opened his wings and while doing so used a strong uprising gust of wind to force himself into the air as fast as possible. He could feel the jolt as he shot into the air, the jolt causing him to drop his blade, resulting in Eko's quiet cursing. Shoot time to go to plan B.

He opened his sleeves to reveal his bone harpoons, as fast as possible as he hovered in the air. Not wasting a second, he aimed at a dumpster not to far from the man and shot, shooting off into another direction which threw the dumpster at his foe in high velocities. Retracting the harpoon, he began a dive and shot razor wind from his wings, the scales making deadly projectiles while in the strong gust of wind. He flew over head and hovered to see the damage.

[Ooc: I'd just like to say I'm sorry about this next part, but this is all a learning experience. I'd also like to add that your winged attack was a little premature. The number of actions in your last post being 1) Dodged up. 2) pulled out bone harpoons. 3) threw harpoons and pulled a dumpster. whichj I'm not sure they exist in the arena. 4) Attacked by sending wind and scales. 5) Retreated further into the air.
In my next post however, I'll show you the reason to limit the number of actions in your post. sometimes your opponent has done things you didn't expect them to.]

] Like clockwory Eko's wings shot out behind him the slight gust rescuing him from being impaled on the spikes. Just like Shimo knew he would. Obviously a winged fighter would retreat to the air to escape an attack from the ground. What Eko did not consider, as he flew higher into the air, is that He was between two buildings, as he pulled out the bone harpoons, Shimo watched Eko's eyes and head dart off into the distance not where he should have looked. Because Since Shimo had not moved in all this time, He'd had plenty of time to prepare the battlefield, and because of this doubted Eko would notice the nearly transparent Ice stalactites which had been waiting for him almost since he dropped off the roof. Each was razor sharp, tapered to a point and with each flap of Eko's wings he came closer and closer. I't's hardly likely to kill him, but with the beating of Eko's wings it's highly likely they'd be skewered before he could work up the wind to injure Shimo with his scales. Reacting probably as Eko had hoped, Shimo directed his attention to the incoming dumpster, waving his hands in an arc toward the metal behemoth. In response the third, taller spike shifted positions, bending low to skewer the oncoming threat. hardening to a state more solid than normal ice as Shimo focused on it's crystal structure.

Eko cursed silently as pain went through his body, or precisely the tip of his wings as they bent back. Ice shards pierced through the layer of metal scales on his wings, sending pain through out his body.

He fluttered slightly, as the ice melted from his hotter than normal blood. He turned back to the man beneath him and hissed, not going higher or lower. He shot four explosive fireballs in a square around his foe and after waiting a couple of seconds sent a blast of fire breath shooting from his mouth. Now to see the colateral damage.

[Ooc: Why didn't you run? or get out of the way... or something?]
Inches away from Eko's body were still dozens of spikes waiting patiently to kill him. And so when Eko's body twitched to attack Shimo, the swift shift from deadly spike to dozens of precise jets of water, concentrated and focused around three inches apart from eachother littered Eko's body with holes. some running through his heart area as well as liver intestines and causing massive internal hemorrhaging. some set to sever his spine, blast his wings full of holes, or even worse skewer the back of his skull, and scramble his brain. And unlike Eko's attacks which woiuld have to travel feet to reach Shimo, the water jets were basically already there, two of the spikes still piercing Eko's skin. In the slight chance that Eko's attacks survived post mortum, Shimo twisted arond bulling the wet wool cloak tighly around his body and face, wool was naturally flame retardent, in addition to it's warming qualities. especially since Shimo kept it wet at almost all times when expecting a fight.

The Red Flag of Termination

I'm waving that flag, fyi. Eko, you are dead, very dead, like not even a zombified version of Eko would have survived O.o And that is saying something.

By not moving out of the way of the ice, Eko, you have given Shimo the right to do what he did, which was to basically kill Eko. Shimo changed the ice himself from ice into water, then shot them through Eko's body. Your chosen set of actions has actually killed you, if you read his post more closely you will realize why. I'm not sure if Shimo is going to allow you to edit, or something, but as of this moment Eko is dead...

That is all,
Paparo

The purpose of this fight is to learn, so I think it'd be a great idea to just start another fight. We can't learn from mistakes if we brush them off. The main thing to gather from this one is, if you don't understand an attack. Ask the person you're fighting. Send a PM and don't post until your sure you understand what was posted. No one likes finding out they walked into a spike pit by accident. What do you say Eko? Feel like trying things again? I'm going to change things up a bit, try to make it more educational. Remember the purpose of this fight is to learn, not to win. And the first lesson is. Winning isn't everything. In fact most RP fighters earn more respect by losing the fight than by winning.

Good deal! So first I'd like to ask if you have any questions about our last fight? Also, I'm a very likable person, it's my characters and fighting style people are afraid of.
