The ground felt hot under his paws, though the air was cool and the sky clouded with the promise of gentle rains. Aheero looked up, back at the mountains that had been his home since the day he had been born. He could never leave it. But here he was, his feet filled with the itch to roam, his heart tugging him home again. It was the strangest feeling, to be pulled in two like this. But at least now he had a purpose. He could find others who would help the pack.
The pack had suffered greatly in the landslide. They had lost so many friends, so many families. But they would survive, spirits willing. And he would help them to do it, even if it meant he had to train a thousand dogs to hunt in the high places and teach a thousand pups the ways of the pack. Not everyone approved of the rogues joining them. But they needed the help. And the rogues he picked would grow into a support that the pack desperately needed.
His purpose set, the young ranger padded down from the gentle roll of the foothills, heading for the endless flatlands of the savanna. With any luck a new friend might be found, someone who could make a difference in his pack’s struggle for survival.

 Nico was lost. He didn't know where he was or where he should go. He yawn and begin to move on. Maybe he could find someone to take him to a warm place or tell him where he was. He didn't care as long as he could do thing to be brave and bold, They Call him NICO THE BRAVE & BOLD for nothing! Nope. He need find other to help save or at least maybe they had food.......yeah he need to stop his fantasy of anyone calling him that. He was lost with no food....well he had no nothing. This what he got for leaving his family...He just wanted to do adventurer suff and bother and mother didn't want to so that why he left but he thought by now he would found something...but there been no dice! At all. Well that suck for him and well just him but never mind that he need to be brave and bold! So he goes nothing he though to his self. He began running without looking! He didn't care where he was going but he knew it might bring him some dang fun for once.

There was danger everywhere of course, but Aheero was always a little more concerned when he was down the mountain. Up on the peaks, he knew what was what. He could run and hide there, and fight as well, with an ease and a skill that many who were not born there lacked. But flat terrains like this one were almost still foreign to him. He was more cautious, more wary, when he was here.
And so when he caught sight of another dog running full out, for all he could see nothing dangerous, Aheero kicked up his heels and sprinted to catch up to the stranger.
"What are you running from?" he asked as he drew nearer, not liking the idea of an unfamiliar danger lurking about somewhere.
