She'd been holed up in this ball for several days now. In it more than out. She wasn't use to that, and she didn't like it. She being relative since the Mewtwo didn't actually have a gender, but that's what they referred to her as. Either way, the she was getting tired of this and wanted out!
Thus, when someone finally released her, she was ecstatic. Bright blue eyes looking around as she stood up and waved her tail. The baby had mastered her motor functions by now and was growing. However, the young Pokemon still was the size of a toddler, and craned her gaze up to look at the very tall Mau. Her glittering expression suddenly changing to unhappy and puzzled. Thick brow ridges furrowing over her eyes and tiny mouth turning down into a frown.
Him again? She looked around again, as if looking for someone else.

"Good morning." Mau said to the young mewtwo. He was glad to finally be back in the lab. Having the mandatory 'recovery time' was really irritating. But, he couldn't argue with orders. But his first day back, he was handed a familiar pokeball and he knew what he had to do.
So here he was, in an old storage closet in the labs. It had been cleaned and decorated almost like a classroom for the pokemon. It wasn't unlike a kindergarten classroom. Mau knelt down so he was closer to the pokemon's eye level. "Did you get to play with Allen much?"

"No." She said matter of factly, in what could be interpreted as a grumpy voice, even if just a projected thought. And who could blame her? Allen was grumpy too, and wasn't any fun at all. Plus he had kept her in her Pokeball most of the time.
She gave Mau a half glare and half pout when she looked back to him. She didn't see who she was looking for, and it displeased her.
"I don't want you." She told Mau rather rudely. "I want mommy. Where is mommy?" Mommy referring to Nadja, whom she spent most of her fun time with.

Mau couldn't help but chuckle. Allen was grumpy, and he couldn't blame the mewtwo for not liking him. He was about to ask her not to look so upset when he caught her next wave of thought. Mommy? Ah, Nadja. Had they been working together so much that this pokemon felt she was her mother?
"I'm sorry." Mau said softly, his tone gentle, and a little sad. "But mommy can't come for a little while." It was hard to figure out how to explain it without thinking about the extent of the injuries, so he simply sighed, controlling his thoughts to think about what injuries were, and trying to show the mewtwo, wordlessly, why Nadja wouldn't be here for a few days. She wasn't able to visit just yet, but she would be soon.

"WHY?" she asked a bit forcefully. But was soon answered as she searched Mau's thoughts. But it wasn't the answer she was looking for. Instead, she was confused and didn't understand. The Mewtwo hadn't encountered injuries before and being physically unable to come see her, puzzled the Pokemon. There were more questions than answers.
"I want to see mommy. Take me to see her." The Mewtwo folding her arms across her plated chest. Blue eyes looking at Mau as if she expected him to do what she asked.

"I can't." He apologized. "It will be a few days, but I can try to get you to see her soon." He reached his left hand to the young pokemon. "But until then, will I do? We can play until mommy can come play with you."
Mau really wanted to curse Allen right now. The poor thing had been cooped up and frustrated while they were away. He'd have words with the man later.

That pretty much summed it up. She hadn't had anyone to play with, and only did work these past few days. The Mewtwo hated that man now. He didn't speak kindly to her, he was cold and just wanted her to do what he wanted. While she didn't have anything against Mau, she just wanted her mommy.
However, Mau didn't give her the answer she wanted.
"NO. I want to see her now! I want to see mommy right now!"
Tears then started welling up in her big blue eyes.

Mau remained kneeing there in front of the pokemon as she began to become more upset. "We can't see mommy today. I'm very sorry." He reached out to her to try and gently brush her tears away. "But I will do everything I can to get you to see her soon."

The Mewtwo's hand swatted Mau's away. She didn't want to be comforted by him, she wanted her mommy! And he wouldn't let her see her!
"NO!" She practically screamed into Mau's consciousness. She didn't understand why she couldn't see mommy now! Even if mommy couldn't come to her, why couldn't she go to mommy instead? It wasn't fair! She had been good and patient, but now she was being denied!
"I don't want to see her soon! I want to see her now! NOW!"
Then the Mewtwo plopped down on her stomach and tilted her head up to let out the most awful wail that sounded something between a distraught child and a dying Tauros. Usually Mewtwos weren't vocal, but the noise that peeled from her throat was definitely auditory.
"NOW NOW NOW!" She screamed into his mind again, pounding her balled up fists on the floor. There was no consoling her.

Mau pinched the bridge of his nose as the mewtwo began screaming in his mind. There was no helping it. She couldn't go see Nadja, not today. When she began to vocalize, even if it was the screech of a banshee, Mau stared at her, quite startled.
But he couldn't give into her cries. Instead, he was going to sit and allow her to throw her fit, let her wear herself down. So he sat, and after a few minutes, began humming softly. It wasn't for her, per say, though he was humming a lullaby.

This continued for several minutes. The Mewtwo literally kicking and screaming on the floor as she went into a full out tantrum. However, when she noticed that Mau was being completely unresponsive... it just made her angry.
Suddenly several of the Mewtwo's favorite blocks went hurling across the room at Mau. The wooden cubes propelled seemingly on their own, but in reality, they were being thrown by the Pokemon's telekinesis.

Mau frowned when the blocks hit him. He batted one away before saying very sternly "throwing a tantrum will not make me take you to your mommy. Do you think she would be happy to see you crying and screaming like this?" His tone took a slightly disappointed tone as he finished speaking.

There was pause as she suddenly stopped, and the little Mewtwo ducked her head in shame.
"No..." she said quietly, a sharp contrast to the mental screaming she had done earlier.
"But I... I miss her..."
The tears then started flowing. Digging her fists into her eyes, the Mewtwo started crying.

"It's ok to miss her." He said softly. "You care about her. She will be very happy to hear that you wanted to see her though, I'm sure of it." When the young pokemon began to cry, it made Mau feel the need to comfort her. He moved closer and gently touched her shoulder, resisting- barely- the urge to pull mewtwo close and hug her.

The Mewtwo sniffled and rubbed her now glassy eyes before looking up at Mau. She nodded quietly, but still looked rather dejected. It was hard being so young and not being able to understand, especially when you had never left the confines of the lab.
