The sun was setting over the western horizon, the temperature in the desert swiftly dropping. The scenery outside was ignored completely by the young woman as she finished her preparations for the evening, and sat down on the couch in the rec room. She laid a rather large book in her lap - a psychology book, of all things, that she'd obviously gotten from the library - and began reading.
Zeus eagerly threw himself on the floor, laying next to a guitar that Claire had said was part of a video game. She had spent quite a while searching out the game and equipment for it, all because he'd seemed so intrigued by Lucas' real guitar, and since she couldn't make her first choice of plans for the evening, this seemed like the next best thing.
So, when the screen for the game came on, Zeus began pushing the colored buttons with his forepaws while kicking the bar with a back paw. He had no idea what he was doing - neither did Claire, since she never played these things - so he simply kept mindlessly scrolling through things.
Eventually, though, he figured out what buttons did what, and finally managed to pick a song. Unfortunately for him, the one he picked was incredibly hard, so he failed spectacularly after about twenty seconds. Obviously, he had a lot of practicing to do to figure out this thing.

Leonard needed a break. He had been working even more since the raid, presumably because he was taking over the duties of grunts that were injured then. He tried not to think about it though. Even though he got out of there unscathed, he felt as down as the people that were hurt. And of course, he had to be thinking about it now, when he finally had free time to do whatever he wanted.
Biting his lip, he grabbed the copy of that new game he just got and headed down to the lounge to play it. But to his dismay, there was already someone occupying the game console. It was... a Pikachu? Playing Guitar Hero? And failing miserably. Leonard was just going to wait until the Pokemon gave up and moved on but he then noticed the human reading a book next to him...
Claire! He hadn't seen her since the raid. So he was obviously surprised to see her arm in a sling. He thought she made it out fine. She was flying away with him... well, before the chandelier fell.
Leonard remembered her temper. He was tempted to just find something else to do but he wasn't going to chicken out like that. Besides, he felt a little guilty to what happened to her, though there was no way he was going to admit that. Luckily she didn't have her Pidgeot out or he would've definitely turned around.
"Hey Claire." He walked over to her and waved. "How have you been? And... why is your Pikachu playing Guitar Hero?"

Claire had stopped thinking about her injury - except when that was impossible, which was whenever she usually used two hands to accomplish something and that encompassed quite a great deal of things - and was currently engrossed in the psychology book in her lap. It was a hardcover book so luckily it remained open on its own, so it was easy to just use her right hand to flip pages. Paperback books were still too much of a challenge with the majority of her left hand stuck in the cast that stretched all the way up above her elbow.
"Oh!" She jumped slightly when he addressed her, obviously too busy poring over the book to notice him enter the room. "Oh, I've been fine. How have you been?" She paused a moment to look him over before snorting slightly. "I see you got out of the ball unscathed, lucky you."
Violet eyes turned to Zeus again as the frustrated Pikachu was scrolling through songs and trying to play them, but still failing miserably. "I met someone who was playing a guitar, and Zeus was completely enthralled by it. I didn't want him to destroy it, or at least scratch it, by accident, so I thought this would be a nice alternative. This way he's stuck to a particular tune and unable to make a horrible racket by messing around with a bunch of strings he could potentially break." And then she'd be obligated to replace, as well as fix any scratches or other damages made by the enthusiastic pokemon.
