The shortcut through the park was meant to be just that, a shortcut to one of her favorite coffee houses. The large purse that doubled as her book bag thunked against her side, heavy with a few of her textbooks that she'd been intending to study while she was there. With all the senshi and family business lately, Adira had not had much time to study.

Unfortunately for her, the shortcut turned out to be a very bad one. A youma was wreaking havoc on the warmly dressed patrons of the park, their bundled up forms waddling away from the monster as fast as their snow boots would let them. Shaking her head, Adira ducked away into a corner to transform. "Perseus Constellation Power, Make-Up!" The new phrase still felt funny to her ears and left a bit of a tingle on her lips. She did enjoy the new uniform however, particularly the warm caplet that lie on her shoulders in the cold of winter (she may have a different opinion in the summer, but Perseus was taking issues one step at a time).

Running to where the screams were emanating from, Perseus searched around for the youma and gasped a bit when she saw him. It was a magnificent stag, his broad shoulders and back where above her head in height. But there was something a bit odd about him, int he fact that parts of him were see through. It was almost like hardened crystal that showed off his gelatinous looking insides. The stag's antlers looked razor sharp, and he had a mane of what could only be described as tentacles. She wondered briefly if they would sting upon contact before rushing into grab a small child, nearly round due to the puffyness of his coat.

Perseus left the screaming youngster with an onlooker, giving him instructions to get as far away as possible. Her mind wandered a bit, thinking about how difficult this would be before deciding to call someone for help. The names of the all the senshi in her phone ran through her head as she took a second to think on who to call. Elegancia had a spa appointment, and Perseus didn't want to interrupt when she didn't have to. Neso was sweet and powerful from what she'd seen, but not too much help in an actual fight.

As the thoughts slipped through her head, Perseus hadn't noticed the stag was charging until it was almost on top of her, rearing its crystal hooves. Seconds later, she'd managed to just avoid the attack, head resting next to two large hoof imprints that would have certainly been in her face had she not moved just in time. "Too close." The super scout scrambled to her feet and faced the beast who was coming around for another charge.

She needed some fresh air.

That was the excuse she had given to Elegancia before said elegant roommate clicked out of the suite for her beauty treatment, an air of contempt trailing close behind her ribboned high-heels. Alba was not about to spend her free afternoon tidying up around the apartment, so instead, she vouched to say that she hadn't been feeling all too well since scrubbing the bathroom floor tile earlier that morning, and that perhaps she needed to go outside to clear her head from the fumes. Truth was, she barely touched the floor with a towel; turns out it didn't take too much to please Ele, and as far as Gloria was concerned, the bathroom was spotless.

So, with all of her winter layers intact, Alba locked the door to their dorm and set off for a peaceful walk around the park. Thinking back on this moment, the brunette should have known better than to ever muse such relaxing ideas for even a second. While it might not have been in the form a of a black cat, bad luck did cross her path before she stepped on the park's snowy trail. She could already hear the screams of terror and the dull thundering of boots scrambling across the slippery snow, and she immediately regretted her decision. This was supposed to be her free day. Free of homework, free of roommates, free of patrols day. A day for Alba, now ruined by the Negaverse.

With an exasperated sigh, Alba darted behind a few dense shrubberies before the stampede of people could run by. A burst of color and light created a halo effect on the evergreen bushes, though the magic only lasted for a few seconds. Had anyone been able to catch it, they would have blamed it on the sun catching its rays on wet snow, or maybe the quality of an Afternoon Delight. Carefully, Super Sailor Alcyone stepped away from the shrubs and snuck towards the commotion. It was already uncomfortable being in uniform during broad daylight; the last thing she'd want was a police officer on her trail and a cause for arrest.

The majestic and horrifying stag had nearly pressed Perseus into a collapsable corpse when Alcyone came into view. She had been ready to call on her teammates for help, though at the sight of another skirted hero she changed her mind. "We'll see if we can work with what we have," She mumbled as she quickly got into place a few yards away.

"HEY SENSHI! RUN TOWARDS ME AS FAST AS YOU CAN, RIGHT NOW." She hollered. She gave Perseus a few minutes to scramble out of the way before yelling out her attack. The senshi had a few more seconds still before the rain really began to fall.

"Strike of Tempest's Thunder!"

Alcyone would certainly never have to worry about a dull entrance when it came to her power, though at times she wished it would move along a bit quicker. Sunlight wavered as thick clouds gathered above the galloping youma, and after a rumble of thunder, a sheet of frozen rain broke free from the clouds' restraint and drenched her target, causing it to stop in its tracks from sheer cold shock. Puffs of white air pulled around its nostrils as it snorted in frustration, and while the attempt was made to break free, it was not able to move. Too much sleet and wind kept it still, for now.

Perseus was standing in the middle of what was left of the snow, looking at the charging beast with her mind racing. She had no plan, no idea of what to do, and nowhere to go. The sound of someone yelling at her cut through the fog. She turned away from the youma and looked up to see another senshi, a super by the look of her. "Thank the stars."

Scrambling through the snow as quick as she could manage, Perseus managed to be mostly out of the range of what had to have been the quickest setting storm she'd ever seen. Was this the senshi's power? A few drops of ice cold rain hit her arms as booted heels skidded to a half next to the other sailor, feeling more confident in having someone else to work with.

And if she could conjure storms like that, the help would probably be really, really appreciated. "I'm Super Sailor Perseus, and I'm also very thankful for the help." She stood next to Alcyone, surveying both the storm and the effect it had on the youma. It was shaking its head quite frequently, eyes nearly closed from the shock of cold rain on its face. It didn't know what to do other than to thrash around a bit recklessly, unable to see, and unable to escape the thundering rain.

Perseus stepped a bit closer to the beast, wanting to use its confusion in the rain to possibly tire it out a bit or a bit more hopefully, wishing it would hurt itself. She only had to step into the rain at the perimeter to get into range. "Illusion's Kiss." The words were quiet, but the other sailor probably heard them with the way they tended to echo about. She blew a kiss at the stag, seconds later its thrashing became more intense.

God, it was so nice to not have to physically kiss things anymore. Perseus backed out of the rain and shivered for just a second before turning her icy blue eyes to the other girl. "Any particular ideas for this one?"

"Nice to meet you!" Alcyone remarked, her eyes still locked on her storm and the youma within it. She had learned from months of practice that the harder she concentrated on the wind and the rain, the harder they attacked her opponent and the longer they held together. "It's no problem at all, I'm always happy to lend a helping hand...or two."

Her comment was taken on a more literal sense as her right hand lifted straight up, a similar movement once popularized in the 1970's dance scene. It was unknown as to what she was doing, though any senshi or negaverse agent could tell that she was concentrating a lot of energy to that open palm, her eyes never wavering from her target. Alcyone was almost ready to release her pent up energy until Perseus leapt forward and lingered closer to the stag once more. She wasn't sure what the senshi of illusions was doing back by the storm's perimeter, though her presence seemed to stir a new level of rage to the stag. He bucked and tossed his crowned head more violently, becoming dangerously close to injuring himself from all of the hysteria.

With Perseus's return, Alcyone answered. "I'm not sure what we could afterwards, but I do have one ...last....thing..." Her hand tingled from loss of blood flow, but it only added to the effect as she swiftly swung her arm down. Simultaneously, a sharp bolt of lightning struck the bezerker youma stag just as it reared, square in the face. The electric current, coupled with the exhaustion delivered by Perseus' deadly kiss, caused the youma to fall.

Whether it was still alive or just unconscious was unclear. With Alcyone's energy spent, the storm began to wane.

"It won't be long now...." She murmured. "Once the storm fades, we can check and see if it's still alive."

"Quite the moves!" She smiled at her senshi counterpart and watched the storm fade around the non moving beast. Perseus once again had to be jealous seeing the vast amount of powers that other sailors seemed to wield. She herself was just seeing the convenience of a long range attack after being chained down to close combat for so long.

When the last of the rain had fallen, the sailor of illusion took a cautious step forward, being careful not to slip on the now-slick grass. "I think it has to be still alive somehow... its not busted into dust yet..." From where they were now, her bright eyes could see the youma still twitching, seemingly in agony.

She paused a few feet away from the glowing youma, turning back towards Alcyone. "Any ideas on finishing it off?" Brute force at this point seemed to be the only option, and even though Perseus had accomplished it before, the sound of a skull cracking underneath her heel was disgusting and the thought of it made her shiver.

"Thanks!" Alcyone remarked gratefully, though the tone of her voice gave away how exhausted she was after summoning her storm. That was the disadvantage of her wide-ranged attacks: they tended to tire her out quickly, and even more so now that it included an offensive layer into the mix. It was obvious to her that she still needed to train harder in order to keep her stamina in check, but that was for another time to dote on. Only a few clouds lingered in the sky, and they were white, bright and wispy; just as they should be on a spring afternoon.

"Right." She agreed, remembering all too well the many foul ways youma opted to die. Dust was the least repulsive, and Alcyone could only hope that this would end as well as Perseus believed to. The last thing she wanted was more youma slime on her bare legs. As soon as she felt her energy gain, Alcyone treaded carefully behind the senshi of illusions, as the grass was slick with water and the buck -- however unconscious he appeared to be -- was still technically alive.

"At this point, I usually resort to kicking or hitting with found objects if I'm lucky. I don't really want to touch the youma, but if I have to," She grimaced, surveying the area for a fallen branch without luck, "I will."

With that said, Alcyone proceeded to lift her leg and fiercely stomp on the stag's head. The sound that followed was sickening.

"Thats usually how I deal with things too..." The sound of Alcyone's boot making contact with the skull of the youma made her cringe. It seemed to echo through the area around them, sending a shiver up her spine. But at the very least, it was quite satisfying to see the small 'pop' and poof of the creature into dust. It had been one of the prettiest youma she'd ever seen, almost something out of a movie. It was nearly a shame to have to kill something so majestic looking.

Nearly.

They did have a duty after all, and killing youma fell into that category. "Thank you for finishing it off, you were a great help." Perseus turned and smiled to her companion, who seemed to be a bit winded. It was understandable, however, considering the amount of power she'd generated. The Senshi of Illusion hadn't done much by comparison.

"I don't know if we've ever officially met before this?" Perseus remembered the senshi vaguely from the various meetings and group 'outings' of the senshi she'd attended, but that didn't mean they'd ever introduced one another before. "Either way, I'm glad we have now. Do you mind if I register you in my phone?" The sailor pulled it out of her subspace pocket nonchalantly, evidence that battle was becoming routine. Either way, she would be glad to add a contact to her list.

Alcyone's skin began to crawl as her heel sunk into the skull of the majestic stag monster, leaving a cold and sickening slime to cover her sandal up to her ankle. It was times like this one where she desperately wished for boots with her crime-fighting attire, much like the pair that Perseus kicked around in ever so fashionably. They could keep her shins warm and protect her legs from whatever peril oozed out of her enemy's injuries. Alas, she was stuck with ballerina-ribboned heels. Luckily, this only lasted for a few moments before the youma itself poofed out of existence, leaving a trail of dust on the ground and on her extended leg. This was much more tolerable, though still unpleasant; she reached a gloved hand to wipe the dust away.

"It was no problem at all! I couldn't have done it without your help. It really tired itself out after...." She paused, realizing now that she still wasn't sure what Perseus's influence was when she broke the perimeter of the storm. "Exactly what did you do to rile it up? I apologize, I must have been concentrating too hard. I'm still getting used to actually being able to attack for once."

"And yes! Me too." Was her sincere reply as she offered her clean hand for a handshake. "I don't mind at all, so long as you're alright with me adding you."
