Looking up, no one would be able to see the sky; during the night, snow had fallen and the clouds from the storm were still blocking the blue of the sky. It was a little chilly, with the cold storm breeze. There wasn't too much snow, only about a feet, but when you're a Usdia, a Usdia filly, to be exact, it was white hard to walk around in.
Little Temperance had wandered away from her mother. She had just come out of her basket not too long ago and was horrendously curious to the land around her and she wanted to see it all. So far, the only thing she'd seen were her parents, older brother, trees, and snow. The white, watery, cold... stuff... Tempy wasn't really sure if she was enjoying it or not. Maybe she couldn't come to enjoy the snow because it was... almost as tall as her!
As she tread through the snow, she could look behind her and see where she had come from. Tempy knew that if she just turned around, she would be able to head back to her mother. Still, out of fear, she didn't wander off too far; she'd paw at the snow with her hooves and try to dig a little more of her path. She still wanted to know what else she'd see in the world!

xxxxxThe snow was a small shocked to the mare. She'd never seen it before; felt it before. But, she seemed to like it. It was almost comforting. She felt good, blended in, at some points. With her soft white coat, the only thing that really stood out was the blue of her mane and tail. Even her marking on her flank was still somewhat blending into the surrounding area. She wasn't sure how any other Usdia, or any other horse, but, she loved it.
xxxxxUhra wasn't that old, that some people would think. But to her, she had lived a full lifetime from her foal, to the time of being tamed by the humans and living in peace there, she was practically ready to settle down. But she wasn't sure about finding that perfect someone just yet. So, for now, she just wondered the open fields and forests, exploring so to speak, until she was full and ready. Which was where she was now. The snow came about to her chest, covering half her actually body, down to her hooves. It wasn't hard to move, so to speak, but there were times where she seemed to struggle.
xxxxxBut not as much as the small, yellow and black creature she saw a little further ahead of her. Her head tilted curiously, the wind somewhat whipping her blue locks into her face, and then out. She smiled softly, moving forward, carefully of course, before stopping a few yards off from the winged creature. She had never seen one with wings before. "Hello there, dear... Are you lost?" She asked, her voice soft and calm, soothing almost.

Tempy hadn't heard the approaching steps, but she did hear the voice, even though it was quite soft. She had to jump up a few times in order to hear and see who it was, but eventually, she saw a pretty Usdia mare, the size of her mama but the color of snow.
"Hi there!" She greeted with a cheerful tone. "Tempy is... Stuck. This snow is too high for me to walk in, but I've been using my hooves to dig me a path." She used her muzzles to point behind her where she had left a large trench. "That way is back to my mama, papa, and brother."
"Oh yeah! Tempy is Temperance! Though you can call me Tempy! What's your name? Mama told me to always be polite to those bigger than me!"

xxxxx Uhra's head tilted lightly to the side, causing her hair to sweep somewhat in front of her face. She listened to the little Usida speak, her ears perking forward to hear all the better, before a soft smile came across her face. She leaned down ever so slightly, to where her head was almost level with the smaller horses, and nodded just a bit. "I see. Well hopefully your mother and father don't get too worried about you being out all by yourself."
xxxxxxUhra laughed softly, lifting her head again and stared down at Temperance, smiling gently as she listened to the small horse speak, and then nodded her head, before inclining it gently, eyes closed. "I am Uhra. It is a pleasure to meet you, Temperance." She said, her voice very soft.
