I've kinda wanted to start taking them, but I'm not sure which ones would be most beneficial.
I always feel tired so I thought maybe Iron and Vitamin C would be a good start.
I don't want to go waste a trip to the doctor just to ask about vitamins sooooo, what do you guys suggest?
As far as food diet wise, I have cereal in the morning for breakfast, usually sandwich for lunch, and supper is usually a meat (or chicken) with a side of veggies or rice.
So yeah I don't eat as much fruit as I should so Vitamin C seems like a good idea. I used to have an iron deficiancy and I don't see it just 'going away' so that's why iron seems like a good choice too.
What can anyone else suggest? ?_?

Mix strawberries into your cereal, or have a banana or apple too. Apples, grapes or oranges can be added with your sandwiches and try a chicken salad with cut strawberries or mandarin oranges in it too?
Iron sounds good. Try to find a mulitvitamin with with vitamin c and maybe calcium? I know I need to take multivitamins myself.

I just take a Flintstones vitamin when I feel a little groggy. Not everyday because they put so much s**t in vitamins you can't even abosrb it all and just pee it out, but if I feel like I'm getting sick, am hungover, slept horribly. It really picks you up without having to drink caffeine!

Try just the iron first, I think. and diversify your diet.
then think about other vitamins. a multi-vitamin or something.

I just take a women's one-a-day vitamin since I'm breastfeeding. I don't see why you can't take one even though you're not doing anything special.

I'm not a vitamin/supplement person other than organic herb supplements and other hippie-dippie psychedelic stuff, BUT I'd go with what Mary said!

Not that I ever listened to my doctors, but they said you are supposed to continue your prenatal vitamin while nursing...again...though...I rarely took my vitamins at all. xp

Unless you know that's you're specifically deficient in something, I wouldn't go for anything really specific (in case you overdose). Just go for a generic multivitamin. At the pharmacy or supermarket or wherever, there's usually a few to choose from. Pick one that seems suitable, like a teen one or a woman's one.
I take multivitamins because I know when I'm slightly vitamin deficient. Sometimes I go through periods of not remembering to take them. Then, usually it's my nails that tell me, like when they start getting weird dents or ridges. I think it helps because those symptoms clear away pretty quickly.
