Tired, and bored, Mazai had situated herself near where a few lions were training. Watching them with bright, shining green eyes, she began calculating advantages. It didn't take long before she finally figured out exactly who was going to win, and she watched eagerly, softly cheering on the one she'd picked in her head. The dark, second oldest of the cubs was eager to see the true outcome. This was gonna be fun.
Astraia had become tired after watching out for coming danger. She had decided today would be a day to watch for strangers that may try to hurt her family. Though after awhile she realized that no one was probably going to come. So she decided instead that she would go and see what her second born sister was up too. Plus then she could keep an eye on at least one of her family members while having some fun. So paw after paw she slowly began to walk towards the area her sister was at.
Gaze turning over to her sister, she almost immediately noticed Astraia coming closer. Curious, her ears twitched, and she stood, shaking out her pelt, "Hello sister." Trotting down the way, she met the other half-way, gently nuzzling her elder sister's neck, "How're you?"
"Hello to you too," Astraia said with a slight smile as she nuzzled her younger sister back. She was glad that she didn't have to walk that far to find her sister. Since that meant she had distance herself in the perfect spot to watch out for the family. "I'm fine. I just came to see what you were up too," she said in reply. since her younger sister, was always up to something or so she thought. "how are you?
Glancing out over to the fight, she purred, "I was studying them, the tactics behind their fight. I know who's going to win, so I'm enjoying watching." A gesture with her paw was enough to show her sister what she was talking about, "It's not going to be the bigger one. The smaller's too fast, and seems to know where to put his claws. His chances are 70% out of 100%."
Astraia glanced over in the direction her sibling was looking. As she did she noticed a fight that was going on. Once she saw it the first thing that came to her mind was wow they are both really good fighters. Though leave it to her sister to figure out who would win before the fight, her sister was amazing like that. "I see well that bigger one needs to learn some better defensive moves against speed based attacks then," she whispered as she watched the fight curiously. "Though would you mind if I watch with you? You;ve gotten me interested in the outcome."
She shrugged, "Perhaps. He wouldn't be good at it." Leading her sister up to her vantage point, she pointed out with her paw, "Look. He's about to hit that point." Mazai's eyes did not leave from the spot, watchin the fight in eager anticipation. This was going to be fascinating.
"Maybe, but couldn't he just use his weight as an advantage against the smaller one?" she asked her younger sister curiously. Since she knew if anyone knew fighting stuff it was her sister. She knew a little herself but mainly she just went with whatever felt right at the moment. "Oh wow," she said as she watched the lion charging for the spot. Would he hit it? she wondered silently to herself as her eyes watched the intense action. This fight was definitely adreniline pumping.
Blinking, she shook her head, "No. He's too bulky, sister. He can't catch him. See?" The smaller darted about the other so much quicker, that Mazai was amusing herself just watching him, "Look, sister. It's about to be over." One more swipe, and the smaller would have the larger down.
"Oh I see," she replied with a nod of her head. Her sister was completely right. Astraia couldn't believe that the bigger one wasn't putting up more of a fight though. Sure the other one had them outted on alot but they still had their fighting spirit. "Come on big guy you can do it," she cheered on accident. As she watched the smaller one advance, "Maybe, but you never know surprise can happen even in fights." she said not moving her eyes from the fighting area.
The larger charged, and as soon as the other did so, the smaller dodged around, and he tackled, Grinning as her prediction came true, she nodded, "A thirty percentile chance is low enough that I do not believe in the outcome changing. The optimal would have been an eighty/twenty split, however, seventy/thirty works as well."
"The larger one should have stayed where he was, he would've had a better advantage," she whispered quietly under her breath as she looked at the fight. She soon turned to her sister and smiled, "looks like you were right after all. Nothing less then expected." she giggled as she nuzzled her younger sibling, in congradulations. She knew she had to say one thing though and that was, "Though don't forget sometimes fighting spirit can overcome all odds. It all depends on how bad they want it."
She nodded, "Had he held his ground, it would have made his strategy better. However, sister, I disagree. All odds are set in strategy, tactics, and body mass." That was just her personal belief, "I suppose drive COULD have a factor, but..."
She nodded and before saying anything she had to remind herself her sister was more logical. While she was more if you want it bad enough you can get it. Not that that saying always happened, but in her heart it was what she believed. "Mhm maybe we should give him some advice for next time," Astraia suggested before continuing,"An the fact that you said could is good enough for me sister."
She smiled sweetly, "Of course, sister. I mean, logically, I might be able to take you in a fight, but you're bigger, and can probably out-run me." She stretched, "And he'll figure it out. It's not like they'll take advice from cubs..."She'd tried once.
Astraia couldn't help but smile at her sisters facts. "True you probably could, but then again you have to remember I would never want to hurt you. So we'd probably not fight like those two lions just were." with that thought she giggled, her sister had so much logic sometimes she worried she wasn't always having that much fun just being a cub. Though then again maybe that was fun to her, "Your right, and why not? If he took advice from you he might not lose so badly." She said ready to go up to lion if her sister wanted too.
She nodded, and giggled, pushing at her sister, "Well, it's okay, I wanna play anyways." The young cub might have been serious, but at the same time, she enjoyed their play fights, and games of chase. "Tag~ You're it!"
"yay playtime," Astraia said with a smile as she playfully pushed her sister back. As soon as she heard tag she chased after her younger sister smiling brightly as ever, "not for long!"
