"You're sure he's going to meet us here," Mercury asked, shifting his weight back and forth a little nervously. It seemed like Riku's tribe was one that disliked intruders that weren't family. Even those they were a bit leery of. So he'd waited at the border while Amaidi went to go find her father. He wasn't quite sure what had gone on in that meeting, but apparently her dad was going to meet them near the borders.((I'm drawing on experience in my RP with Eva for that post >.> ))

Amaidi paced around, tension clearly visible. It was obvious her short stunt out to go find her father hadn't exactly gone as planned, Ugh she had met her stupid father easily enough since he was her family and she had grown up a little bit here but her patience really only went so far. Well actually it was nearly non existent when it came to a few matters about her mate. "oh he better meet us out here" Amaidi growled her upper lip lifting in a snarl. The meeting hadn't exactly gone as planned and she had to leave mercury standing outside of Omatacaya lands for way longer than she wanted because she had to go to Lunarie and get her mother. If her dad was going to be stubborn about the whole thing she was certainly going to rig her hand a bit. "I swear I'll go back in there and drag him out if I have to"

Riku grumbled a little bit as he made his way to see his daughter. He just couldn't understand why she wanted him out this far. Plants stood out and he grabbed a couple of the leaves, a thank you whispered and continued on.
At the edge, he heard the comment. "You couldn't drag me any where." Swirling patterns got his attention. "Who are you?" If this was his daughter's idea of a joke.. There would be some talking. Caring and somewhat understanding, Riku just wouldn't think about his only daughter with a male.

Runaiu approached her son and her daughter-in-law, spotting the red male. Her eyes narrowed as she saw beside her son, flicking her ears. She had run off for a bit to see her six new babies, and had just returned to see her adopted son. Her tail flicked lazily, not speaking to the red male and instead looking at Mercury and Amaidi.
"I am sorry I am late. I had to check on the children. Mercury, Akira was wondering when she can meet you." She whispered into her sons ear, tail flicking before looking at the red male. Was she older than him? Yes. This automatically made her feel reassured, raising her head slightly.

Artemis padded slowly through the dense forest. The woods here were much thicker than she was used to. Honestly she didn't really want to be this far from home, but her only daughter Amaidi had never asked anything of her before now so it was the least she could do. Arty had been pretty surprised when her daughter had showed up Lunarie and asked her to make the journey for some important matter.
A few days back Arty had let the young vixen run ahead of her, something about finding her father and someone else. Amaidi's trail was easy to follow though and as Artemis walked through the forest, admiring the trees, she could smell that she was getting close. Close to not only Amaidi but Riku as well. And maybe two others? It was hard for her to pick out the different smells so she decided she should make her appearance, since she was probably alrighty late.
Feeling like an old slowpoke vixen, Artemis approached the gathering. There was another vixen there besides her daughter and two males, one of whom Arty knew well, Riku. She nodded to them all and sat down without saying a word. It wasn't that she didn't have anything to say, but rather that she was far to nervous to say it.

"Ah, hello Momma," Mercury said, smiling and bumping his head against Runaiu's in a greeting. His ears perked forward in interest. "I think I can make time to see her after this," he said, looking over towards Amaidi. "How are the kids and Tenshi?" He knew his mother had found a mate and even had children of her own blood now, but he'd never met any of them.
All the while he kept one ear to the trees, listening for anyone who might be approaching. He thought he heard someone, but there was so much bizarre wildlife around the area he'd never seen before that it could just be nothing.

Amaidi sighed and shook her head. "mm hmm" she muttered about her father's comment towards dragging him anywhere. She had after all gotten him out here hadnt she. "When asking some one who they are daddy you need to be nicer. no one is going to answer when its phrased like that" she shook her head but figured Mercury was busy talking to his mother and thus she could answer her father. "That's mercury dad."
It was then something caught her attention and she noticed her mother. she nodded enthusiastically back and crushed her urge to just run over and pounce her knowing she wasnt small enough to do so any more. "Hi mommy, you made it"

He glanced back at the other male. His ears perked up at the sound of another female, one he knew. "Arty," his tone changed at the sight of his daughter's mother. He smiled and went to sit next to her.
He turned his attention back to Mercury and the other female. How the two were related, was almost beyond him, until he thought of Tokala. Riku then turned to look at his daughter. "That was me asking nicely."

Mercury laughed good-naturedly from his spot somewhere next to Runaiu. "Maa, I've been asked a lot worse before. I seem to be one of those people that you either like or dislike, with no middle grounds." Which was true enough. As of now Mercury wasn't sure if someone severely disliked him, but he'd admit to not exactly knowing a ton of people. Even if he and Momma had been wanderers, it wasn't like they came across others with much frequency.

"The kits are grown, and Tenshi is well." She mused, nudging Mercury before eyeing the male and vixen she did not know. She eyed Riku, scowling at the male and wrapping her tail around Mercury's back leg comfortingly, and smiling at the vixen and Amaidi. She didn't take lightly to someone try to imitate her son, and it showed by how she puffed her chest out, and grumbled in her throat. Being the oldest here, she found it amusing.
"Most like you, Mercury." She mused lightly, chuckling. Save Yuki, but he'd get over it sooner or later. Probably later.

"Hello Amaidi." Arty's face lit up at being called "Mommy" once more by her only daughter. Being reunited with Amaidi never ceased to make her smile. "Of course I made it." Arty was her mother after all and it was apparent that Amaidi had either something to say, or something to ask.
"Riku." The grey shaded vixen nodded to him as he trotted over and sat down next to her. There was so much she wanted to ask him, to talk to him about but it was obvious that there was already a conversation going and she didn't want to be the one to interrupt it. That and being around so many foxes away from her tribe, even if one of them was family and the other her babies daddy, still made her feel a tad bit uneasy.

She shook her head at her dad wondering why it was such a big deal she was next to her mate. Well she hadnt told him that part yet but still she had been an adult for a while. She looked over at Mercury briefly but figured he would be okay and he had runaiu for support. She let off a smile back at them before turning towards her parents again.
Amaidi beamed back at her mother. She always loved being surrounded by family, luckily she seemed to have a huge one but unfortunately she had only meet a couple of them. It meant a lot to have her parents there. Unfortunately they both lived in different tribes and her mom wasnt too comfortable around non lunarie foxes. "Um well Mercury Runaiu this is my dad Riku and my mom Artemis. Mom dad this is Mercury and his mom Runaiu." She said politely best to get the introductions out of the way.

Mercury bowed his head repectfully to each parent as he was intoduced. "I see where Amaidi got her good looks from," he said to Artemis, then glanced at Riku. "Your own addition of colors worked in beautifully."
The words themselves might have seemed akward, like careless comments with no regard to manners, if they weren't said in just the right way. Mercury managed to pull it off though, his tone and eyes shining with ethusiastic warmth and sincerity and somehow projecting that innocence of his that made him seem so very young.
The clearly devoted and admiring look he gave Amaidi showed, in no uncertain terms, the members of the gathering just how smitten he was with his mate.

Runaiu watched the family gathering, unsure what to even say at this point. What did she have to base this interaction off of? Her own family? No, her family was messed up. Unless it was her mate and children, and of course, Mercury. The family that was special to her, the family she did not share with anyone else she loved. But, sometimes she wondered if she was a good mother, a good mate, when she could only base herself off of abusive parents and siblings that hated one another.
So, she kept her mouth shut, nodding respectively to each member of the meeting before glancing at Amaidi and Mercury.

He felt the unease come from Arty and wrapped his tail around her. He didn't like either of the females to feel like that, unless he was causing it on purpose. The brown male was trying to figure out what his daughter wanted to say and was praying it wasn't what it looked like.
As the other two foxes were introduced, he nodded casually to them. It was the other male that made Riku nervous. He just couldn't get over the fact his daughter was an adult now and could find a mate if she wanted to. Riku eyed the young male suspiciously, unsure of how to take the comment about colors. "Thank you, I guess."
