In a small desert outside of Invictus city, lies the desert ruins of Pallan. Pallan once was a great city between dimensions, tall and mighty, but the harsh climate of the desert brought the city back to earth. The people of the city dug underground to escape the heat, and in the cool tunnels below the city they lived. Soon food became scare, the wells dried up, and the people of Pallan died off. Leaving all memory of the beast sealed beneath Pallan to be washed away my the sands of time. Tunnels have fallen, rooms collapsed, and the entire city is crumbling away. The city is a maze, corridors that are still intact will lead off to other dimensions, the rooms lined with dead bodies that will crumble and become dust before re-forming and starting the process all over again. Time has no total foothold here in the ruins of Pallan, memories of a time past forgotten play over and over again, like a broken record. Now tell me, stranger, what is your business in this dead city?

 Ladi walked through the corridors, humming a tune and tossing a pocket watch into the air before catching it. She abruptly turned left, just before walking into a portal, yet she was still focused on the watch. Ladi knew the ruins well, she had lived in them for many years before moving to Invictus. A few minutes later she broke into song."When I sleep
I dream of drowning
When I'm awake
I dream of suffocating
The flowers turn to dust
As I cry to the stars
My life to end

Staring at the rope in my hands
As I tie it to the rafters

A voice resonated around the Ruins as the entire place seemed to have the light sucked away bit by bit. The voice was jolly but the accent and sound of it changed...

Consumption took me mother and

Kenny was killed in Killkenny
And Clare she died in Claire
Tip in Tiperrary died out in the dairy air

Ernie fell into the urn and Tom is in the tomb

He broke his neck a slipping on a bar o' Irish Spring
O'Grady he was eighty though his bride was just a pup
He died upon the honeymoon when she got his Irish up

Ladi was shocked for a few seconds, but then she just started grinning like mad."Well, well, well!~ What got you out of your prison this time? Another idiot asking for something? Or should I ask why you are here? Or maybe I should ask how you found me~" She tossed the watch, watched it rise then quickly snatched it out of the air before flipping it open. She watched the hands spin in opposite directions, stop, start spinning the sideways. If that was even possible. But there it was, in her hands, and Ladi was smirking at it.

Docrises surfaced just behind her. It peered over her shoulder. "that is why- chaos." he said pointedly then wandered off. As always his appearance did not take on a fixed shape.

Ladi snorted. "Oh how did I know? And on to question two or one one five or three repeatedly~ " Ladi stopped at an innocent looking door, then kicked open. She looked inside curiously, though she already guessed what was there. More bodies, crumbling and re-forming. "Phobes, you too? Am I the only one left? How annoying,~ " Ladi said to no one in particular. She closed the door and moved on to another.

"Should I be impressed? In shock, fear,a state of paranoia, or the like?" Ladi turned to face Docrises. She tilted her head sideways, stared for a few minutes (though, in Pallan, it couls be minutes, seconds, hours, decades, months, years, or centuries) then turned back to towards the end of the hallway. She ran her hand along the wall, grabbing a passing doorknob and letting it go.[

Docrises grabbed her and slammed her against the wall. Its arms pinned her's as its face got real close to hers. Its violet, violent eyes darted back and forth between her eyes. As if it was searching for something. Its eyes were squinted and intense- searching and searching.

"Hmm? Do you want something?" Ladi questioned, somewhat offhandedly, as if she didn't care that her god had her pinned up against a wall. She kept her gaze straight ahead, never looking away. "QUESTION! What," she said sharply, and at random. "What am I?"

"WRONG! Ladi twirled away, past where the walls crumbled away, and even past where the floor crumbled away. She stopped twirling in front of twelve hanging bodies. The chains holding them up ascended into a thick colourless fog. She held out her arms. The bodies swayed in a non-existent wind, the chains wrapped around each one's neck rattling slightly."I am but a key in the lock~"
