It was just any other day, the two siblings were wandering around town while Damon worked with a wad of bills just in case. Normally not a wise decision, the man didn't seem to worry at all about his children as they ventured out into the sun-lit streets. Unfortunately, there were other things to worry about than simply people after their money.

"Ily! Ily there's Phee! And-and-and pets!" Seth squeaked from Ily's shoulders, pointing a finger towards the shop just a bit farther up the street. Ever since he had found his first pet, a little snake that happened to appear on their doorstep, the boy had been fascinated with gathering friends for her.

"Alrighty squirt, we'll go say hi to Phee. I'm not buying you another snake, though," Ily warned as she raced along the street in boots, shorts, and a random shirt she happened to find. It wasn't exactly what she wore at night, but it worked. "Phoebe?" the teen called out upon entering, looking around for her friend as Seth slipped down from her shoulders.

Ily laughed at Phee's enthusiasm, a brief wave of panic enveloping her as she was hugged. Strange, hugs never caused such feelings before... Shrugging the feeling off mentally, she suddenly noticed one major thing. "You grew too I see. And I do keep growing, though not as much as Seth some days. I swear, he has a mini growth every other week," she replied with a giggle, ruffling the boy's hair and causing him to whine irritably.

"Ily also has a secret friend that daddy's not s'posed to know about and-Oh my gosh! How dare they do that to her?!" Seth gasped, eyes alighting on a snake cage towards the back of the store. In an angry huff, the naga marched (as well as a a half snake child can) back to the cage, leaving the two alone.

"Alright then. Don't exactly know what he's talking about..." Ily replied softly, a soft blush tinting her features. Hoping violently her necklace was hidden under her shirt, the teen flashed her friend a huge grin. "So what brings you in here?"

"Oh really? Then you should probably take him home. Sad little puppies don't belong in pet stores," Ily replied, not really thinking that Phee sounded young or silly. Hell, she'd do the same thing with tarantula's... If Damon didn't specifically ban them from the house and the twenty foot perimeter around it. In fact, she figured it more of a kindness thing of which the teen didn't exactly feel much of on a daily basis. "Hm? What's this?" All at once, her face lit up into a grin.

Within the box was a necklace that CHANGED COLORS. Not based on mood or anything but just randomly changed colors. Sure her necklace from Gabriel was by far her favorite, but this had to be an incredibly close second. "Thanks Phee! SETH! Put that back now!" Ily cried out upon looking over to where her friend was only to find out that Seth had removed the snake from it's cage and had it wrapped around him.

"But-!! She's scared! Shh, it's ok girl," Seth murmured almost lovingly to the reptile, allowing the massive emerald tree boa constrictor to wind around his arm and partly his torso. It had to of been two feet long, if not longer and about as wide around as his arm. "Hm? The mean pet people scare her. Hasn't eaten in days and she hasn't been able to sleep cause they keep the heat lamp on. She's over heated," the boy murmured, tone incredibly soft and yet still understandable. As he spoke, the snake rested it's head on his shoulder and refused to move.

Seth completely ignored his sister, still cooing to the poor snake in some sort of snake language. "Name? Her name is Xandria," he replied softly, coiling up next to the massive glass cage she had been in only minutes beforehand. Of course, he had failed to notice the sign that clearly said not to remove said snake from the cage unless an employee was around but the boy didn't care. "She says you smell pretty," he added with a soft giggle, petting the snake.

As Ily made her way over, she busily put the necklace on, sighing when Seth refused to budge. "Hm... Dad's not going to be happy if you bring her home, Seth," she replied quietly, glancing up at the price. Well, they did have enough money for her, but they'd have to come back later for a cage and food. She had a vague feeling the boy's first snake and this one wouldn't get along real well.

Seth grinned at Phee and translated what she said, sorta, back to Xandria. He had learned from Pandorphone, his first snake, that their language was far more complex and that he... well, sucked at it. Thankfully she understood and gave an almost imperceptible nod of approval. "Gift? Yeah! Ily, please?" he asked quietly, lilac eyes adopting that nearly impossible to resist begging look.

And what was the teen to do? Seth was pulling the whole 'I'm too cute to say no to' act and Phoebe was giving her a reasonable excuse that Damon couldn't say no to no matter what. That was how they got Seth's first pet anyways. "Probably. Say, I buy you that puppy and you get the snake, They're the same price and all and then you two get exactly what you want. Deal?" Ily asked, giggling softly as Seth nearly jumped and danced with joy. Already he was practically vibrating from his pent up excitement. She had to give him props for remaining so calm after hearing such exciting news. She certainly wouldn't have been like that no matter what news she heard.

Ily shook her head. "No. You got me a present, which is really awesome by the way, and so I should get one for you. Besides, Seth doesn't need anything else snake-wise for her. He's got everything she'd ever need. Come on, we're buying you that puppy and if your mom objects then she can complain to me. We're friends for Pete's sake," she replied, grinning widely at her friend and nearly completely unaware of Phee's feelings.

She noticed the change and that Phoebe was acting stranger than usual, but for the life of her she didn't know why. She wasn't the best at reading emotions, unfortunately. "Isn't that right, Seth?"

"Mhm. We gots lots of stuff for her," he replied quietly, still cooing gently to the snake in his little snake language and thus completely oblivious to what was going on.

Ily shrugged. Like hell she was going to sit there and argue for another hour on whether or not Phoebe should get the puppy or not. "Whatever. It's your decision in the long run. Speaking of Seth, where did he run off to?" she asked, suddenly realizing the naga had indeed wandered off without warning or any sign as to where he had gone. A loud shriek from several aisles over told her where exactly the two went.

"Great. C'mon Phee, better go save him from the manager," she giggled, already carefully making her way back to the aisle she had heard the shriek from. Lo and behold, the naga was busy looking over the snake items with a scared-to-death woman standing nearby clutching her chest. "Seth! What in the world?"

"Lookin' for stuff for Xandria. Need a new heat lamp an' humi.. humi... something," Seth explained, looking over the varying items on the shelves as the green snake slept soundly wrapped around him. At least, that's what it looked like she was doing from Ily's point of view.
